Hot Tin Roof, the greatest rock'n'roll band to come out of Australia since AC/DC, have just released their debut single. Sounding like ZZ Top might if they covered Rush songs, whilst being fronted by Glenn Hughes, this is the Australian rock'n'roll machine you don't wanna mess with.
Title track "Jackin' Off" is literally all about that. Justin Haze and Dan West strap on their guitars, it's all guns blazing and it doesn't get any better than this... Haze's vocals sound like a disgruntled Glenn Hughes after castration, attempting to impersonate Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top fame whilst the guitars echo the sentiments of ZZ Top's grit and dirty edgey blues boogie rock. Take the lyrics of Airbourne and The Darkness, and add the progressive tendencies of Rush to the mix and you've got some idea of what Hot Tin Roof might sound like.
The single, produced by little-known upcoming producer Pete Depo is available now!

The band are currently tucked away in a basement somewhere, rehearsing and writing some more songs for their upcoming tour. Some of these will see the album, some won't. The louder you scream, the more likely it is to make the album. A second single should follow within the next few weeks, followed by a few more gigs. Expect to see the album by Christmas!
