It has been revealed that Regan Futrell was debating on rather or not to retire before he recorded another album with Casting Thin Shadows. He said this in an exclusive interview he had on the new CTS record.

"Before the band headed back into the studio I was really exhausted. I've been doing so much shit this year I felt like it wasn't paying off. Thats why I took a vacation. But when I took the vacation I hit depression and started drinking heavy again. I'm still sober from drugs but while I was out I debated on rather or not to retire. The current up and coming musicians are nothing but jokes in my opinion. Where are the original ones who've been here for awhile? Like Jakey Comatose, or Transferium Project? I mean some of the new shit ain't that bad but I can't stand a lot of the newer acts coming out these days. I like Reckoner, Infinite, Mind, and bands like that but most of it is garbage. Thats why I knew I had to do this record with Casting Thin Shadows."

This interview was featured in Rolling Stone this month.

I really hope Regan doesn't decide to quit, because his music has had an incredible impact on the music industry. I'll be looking out for the Rolling Stone magazine to see whether or not he actually will retire. Regardless of how he feels towards the current generation of musicians, I'm honored that Regan Futrell has such high regards for Infinite.

-Eric Quillington
Kid Anything- Indie/Britpop/Shoegaze; influenced by Sigur Ros, XXYYXX, Kanye West, Blur, Oasis

(Bringing together an eclectic group of influences, Ulysses' songs are sung with carefree abandon by Nick Junk)

Kurt Ulysses - Songwriter, Guitarist, Backup Vocalist
Nick Junk - Vocals, Mojo

Infinite- Alternative/Experimental Rock; influenced by Muse, Radiohead, and The Beatles

(Known best for their experimental music and their frontman's eccentric behavior, the band disbanded after Eric Quillington's death to pursue solo careers or, in Matt Robert's case, peace of mind. Infinite released four albums over the course of their career; Blue Nebula, Midnight Skies, Insomnia, and Dancing about Architecture.)

Eric Quillington (Deceased) - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Piano, Primary Lyricist
Matt Roberts - Bass
Greg Oldson - Drums, Backup Vocals, Secondary Lyricist
Amelia Florentine - Keyboards, Piano, Lyricist, Backup Vocals

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."

Thanks man. I'm not gonna retire. I was about to because its just been so missing since a lot of good musicians have left but I'm gonna keep going and just make the music I want and like. After CTS tours I'm hoping right back into recording with Quarantine and might try one more solo album by then. So I don't see myself going anywhere for right now.
