Fans were presented and delighted with the first ‘official’ listen on a song ‘(Crucifixion on an Innocent (Suffer)’ off the highly anticipated album “Newborn“.

The lengthy song snippet came along with the album cover which already seems to cause some controversy for it’s symbolism.

The album cover has apparently offended a Christian pastor from Texas. “Newborn” which features a rainbow settling over a cross, was intensively released along with the song (which according to “Smith” symbolizes Jesus’s crucifixion). Pastor David Smith found the idea of “Gays” above Jesus christ very offensive, to the point he had to lock himself in a room and pray for hours. He also apparently has had conversations with the God upon Stephanie and claims that her husband Johnny Johnson is the anti-christ.

He along with a group of people will be protesting outside stores February 14, 2011 once the album is released. "We will bring our fire, the lord will be with us for our safety".

Jennifer (Representative of Hot Eye Records) has Responded with the following:

"The rainbow will mean whatever you want it to mean. In Christianity, The rainbow is known as "God's Promise". Obviously this pastor is uncontrollably out of his mind.
We find it offensive that he claims that "Johnny Johnson" is the anti-christ. Who is he to make that sort of judgement and spread that sort of negativity. Maybe HE'S the anti-christ Oh..."

American Christians are so strict. I'm an ordained Catholic bishop who has a Tarts & Vicars tape on the net. My last Mass, some of my congregation, including other priests, came up to me afterwards asking if she was a good root .... and yet some dude in your hemisphere is like, "OMGEEZ RAINBOW OVER CROSS BAN BAN BAN". Bit extreme?
