MTV recently did an special on rapper Rel & his YRMG camp. Rel allowed MTV to spend the weekend with Rel and his artist. In the special Rel is prepping his album to be released and he and his crew are about to embark on an International tour. This is the first that Rel has every headlined let alone been on. So there is alot of pressure. MTV spent two days recording footage. This is what happened when we followed Rel & YRMG.
Thursday11:15 Am: The YRMG tour bus arrives in New York City.
Rel- Whats up MTV. We just getting in the city. Its getting late but its the beginning of our night.
Trell- We just came from Baltimore. We just got off the stage at like 6 pm.
Monte Carlos- (Continues) Life on the road is crazy seems like you work all day and pass out. Then when you wake you have an pile of money. Its crazy.
11:28: The tour bus pulls into the hotel parking lot.
Trell: We about to go get ready. My cousin Monte has an show tonight. Its going to be hype. Ya'll just stay tuned its going to be a hell of a night
*30 minutes later*
12:00am: The guys are on the tour bus again on their way to the venue.
(while on the bus)
Rel: My album is about to drops in 15 days. So I'm excited about that. We just wrapped up the promo tour. The real tour kicks off in two days.
Monte Carlos - We are on a marthon right now. I think the numbers is 20 shows in what 12 days. Something like that. That was just the promo.
*40 mintues later*
12:40pm: Its almost showtime. The guys are backstage relaxing
Rel: We're 5 mintues away from the show starting. I'm ready. (Laughs) I'm not even performing. This Monte's show. [Looks seriously into the camera] Monte what you going to do tonight.
Monte Carlos - Man, This is second natural. I live on the stage. I'm going to tear the house down
*R&B singer Trell walks in *
Trell: I just looked at the crowd. Its packed man.
*The club promoter walks in*
Promoter- Its show time Monte. You ready?
Monte Carlos - Yeah. Let's do this
*Monte Carlos walked down a long hallway to the stage*
*He takes an deep breathe before running on stage*
Monte Carlos : What's up New York!
*Monte Carlos then goes into an song "I Mean That"*
The crowd responds to the song well and are into the performance
*Monte Carlos then slows it down with an song for the ladies " Me & U (It Could Be)"
The females in the audience are in awe in began to scream and sing along. A few females even start to cry
*Monte Carlos: Ladies, Do you like Trell/*
*The ladies scream with excitement*
