Disc One -
i. HEART NOTES [00:54]
Genre: Synth Pop
Overview: Well, since we got the album started we decided we wanted a clean intro to the whole thing. Since we began speculation we knew that keyboards would play a huge part so in our downtime I've been learning a bit and this is an introduction to that style.
Sound:
With my new keyboard skillz(sic), the song is basically a couple of light keystrokes behind a distorted guitar solo(courtesy of Pete). No lyrics nor vocals here.

ii.) FAUST [2:34] Genre: Noise Rock Overview: This is a concept song and part of one of the 12 concept songs of the album. Faust starts it off and tells the tale of a man forsaken by god and cast back to Earth to live life over and over again while watching all he loves pass him by. He cannot eat, drink nor sleep. All he does is exist. So now he lives atop a house on a crooked hill and calmly waits for anyone who dares to enter. Sound: A sort of static maintains over the song for about 20 seconds leading way into church bells ringing and Peter's guitar emulating the sound of the church bells with a distorted riff. I maintain slow and steady drumming throughout the song. Peter does the vocals although it's more of a slow, scratchy whisper type of thing. Lyrics: Shadows into Shadows

iii.) Level Up [1:45]
Genre: Dream Pop
Overview: Coming right off the introduction of Faust is Level Up, which is about this knight who is a distant relative of Faust. This knight, Mitchell is drawn out back to the land of his elder because a group of rogues kidnap his maiden, Beth. With Beth kidnapped, Mitchell is forced to travel back to lands he shoved out of his mind long ago.
Sound: A steady strum with Pete's guitar followed by me making some heavy keyboard taps. They leave echoes giving this eery, nightmare feel. Certain repeated words, lead way into heavy guitar riffs.
