Recording for the album took place at various recording studios in New York and Atlanta and was mostly produced by YRMG artist Trell and Rel, and also featured contributions from Monte Carlos, Chloe, Trell, and Cherise, among others. LaterThe album received generally positive reviews from most music critics, earning praise for Rel's introspective lyrics and making progess as an artist. Following an anticipated release, it debuted at number 19 on the US charts.
