Hey Matt. SS recently released a 30 second demo of a new song. Are you guys going to be playing the song live anytime soon?NO! Haha we releases that clip just so that people can get crazy and hyped up for our third albumDo you have a release date for the album yet?No we dont. After the next U.S. tour we are going to be takinga break and during the break we are going to start recording some demos. After we make the demo's then we are going to go into the SSR studio and record the final versions. What we are hoping to do is have the album out by the end of April. Are you going to change your sound from the past 2 full lengths or are you keeping the same sound?Well our sound changed when we got Nicole in between "Doesn't Mean It's Legal" and "Torn, Filthy, Love(Album)" but I think that we are going to be done with the DMIL sound and use alot of the TFL sound but as you could hear in the 30 second demo that we put some "dub step" sounds into the songs which is something that we haven't done before. We are still going to keep the same old Suburban Sunrise sound but just spice it up a little bitWhen will we hear the full first track off the album?Well im sure that we will release the first single once we get the full album done and mixed, but there is a chance that we will release a few full demo's to get some hype on the album. With this third album we want to put alot more work into it then we put into the prevous two full lengths. Dont get me wrong I love our old Cd's but we really really want this next album to make people want to hear our music and we want people to know as soon as they hear an intro that its us.When you released TFL we began to think you finally hit that mark? Especially with your single "Vulture."Ya people knew as soon as they heard the intro to "Vulture" that it was us because it apealed to everyone and hit number 3 on the radio charts which suprised the shit out of all of us. None of us really expected one of our songs to hit that high on the charts. But that is how we want it to be with all of our songs. We would like to be a timeless band such as The Beatles who's music just never gets old. When you release the new album are fans ever going to hear music off of your first EP "Lost In Your Arms" or music off of DMIL?Well you wont hear as much of it as you do now. We might play a single or two off of DMIL and then we might still play one song off of LIYA but odds are you wont be hearing any of LIYA anymore but you might hear something off of DMIL stillWhat is your favorite song to play live?Well personally for me I love to play "Song For the Lovers" off of DMIL because Nicole and I turned it into a duet and I also love to play "Vulture" because most of the crowd will know the lyrics and they like to jump up and down and go crazyThats all the questions I have. Thanks for doing the interview! No problem it was my pleasure |
