1. Going On*- Going On is about moving on from a relationship. It involves someone becoming heartbroken, but they are able to overcome all of it. The song has a very generic pop sound to it. The drums are the most notable instrument in it. The song describes the pain that was felt, but then it also covers getting over the relationship.
2. Wanting To Be*- Wanting To Be is a song about wanting to be that somebody in the world. It is the song the album is named after. The song covers some emotions, thoughts and experiences TheStatNerds went through before they became famous.
3. Lights On (feat. Hard Sugar)*- Lights On is a song about a couple dancing very well at a club. It features girl band Hard Sugar collaborating with TheStatNerds. Since the two groups styles are so similar, the groups singing together sounds so natural. The song has a catchy sound to go along with it, the song can be lighting up clubs for a long time.
4. Make Me Feel*- Make Me Feel is about a relationship where the girl makes the guy feel perfect all the time. No matter what happens in the relationship, they stay together and she makes him happy. This song strays away from TheStatNerds style and it’s a much slower song, in a way it’s like an R&B song.
5. Lonely Anymore*- Lonely Anymore is about a guy finding a girl all alone on the street. She looks like she is emotionally hurt, and he wants to help. It talks about him helping her overcome her emotional stress. It also covers how the girl is afraid to open up during hurt from a past relationship.
6. The Name Game- The Name Game is about meeting a person and just wanting to get into bed with them. It’s about not having to waste time on things like finding out the person’s first name. It’s a song that alludes to sexual desire, but doesn’t out right say it.
7. Left The Note*-Left The Note regards to a person leaving their other when things got rough. The person just left a note, and everything else about that person left. The verses of the song talk about things that were different or could have been changed to keep the relationship going.
8. Matter More- Matter More is about a person trying to make a relationship work. But after nothing works the person realizes that to the person that their dating, their friends just matter more. So then they go on how they regret everything about the relationship.
9. Chemistry- Chemistry is about two people who get along with each other really well. But they aren’t dating yet. They just talk all the time, while there is a couple traits that they each have that aren’t appealing. But after time they realize that they should date because they just get along so naturally.
10. Missing Me- Missing Me is a song about having your heart broken. The person then turns it around and figures out that they are better than the person that broke their heart. This song is very similar to ‘Going On’ so in a way the album ends with how it started.Edited by user 27 March 2011 06:49:07(UTC)
