Whoaaa!


Whoaaa!(exactly 3 As and an exclamation point) is a Ithaca based Surf Rock/Noise Pop band that consists of brothers Clark and Nate Sellers with their best friend Kyle Winters. The two brothers were born in a small town in Iowa. Their grandfather was a blues artist(the same one who later moved to Mississippi and trained Gary Finch) who taught both the ways of guitar. As the two grew up they played in many bands with the usual drummer of the lineup being Kyle. Their lastest endeavor 'Whoaaa!' is the trio recording by themselves. They hit the main scene after being a runnerup in a Cali Battle of the Bands contest.

Cult Crew


Alice Winchester(last name is an alias) fronts up Cult Crew, a Fresno based Surf Rock/Noise Pop band that consists of former shut-in Jeff Mann. She left her family in Florida after having grades good enough for a Fresno Boarding School. "When I arrived in Fresno, for a boarding school. Jeff was a senior while I was a sophomore and he wouldn't live his room. His parents paid all the money though so he got to do whatever he wanted. He played guitar in his room was all he did, sometimes doing some keyboard work and I coaxed him out of his room when I learned that. We both started Cult Crew then because we wanted to do something different. We just used a drum machine back then, around early 2010. Now, it's 2011 and we recruited Tracy Fitzgerald, a local artist, into the whole grand thing." After winning a California Battle of the Bands, they met the runnerup Whoaaa! and decided to make a group with them and whatever other artists wanted in.

FUNFACT: Alice is the sister to "CircusFreak" of MORGUE PARTY. GO check out their sounds.

LELAND MILFUS


Picked up after he opened for another small-time band in Toronto, Leland is a Psychedelic pop artist who joins the collective as the first Canadian Member.

Clark: Yep Yep. We're like one big Surf Rock family, make sure to buy our Split EP coming out in a bit. We just recorded songs we've been performing live really.

Overview:
Written after Alice broke up with her boyfriend since she decided she needed a fresh start in the musical world. Its a departure from the usual Cult Crew sound but easier for a more mainstream crowd.

Sound:
Tracy's drumming consists of only multiple light cymbal taps, and Jeff's light strumming of his guitar which pauses at times. There are deeper, more frantic strums around the end of the chorus and Tracy adds in bass to her usual cymbal taps before the sound goes back to the same style.
