Its been two years since their last album "Experience Us", which became a sleeper hit. The band described the album as gritty, dirty, and distorted. The album is more mature, and features stronger lyrics. The bulk of the song were written by Chris Patrick during and after his treatment for alcoholism in rehab. To promote the album, the guys did a couple of shows around the UK, Europe and Canada. And a free major show at Central Park in NYC, which drew a crowd of over 300, 000 people. The band will preform on MTV Unplugged sometime during May, and will tour during the summer, venues are still being worked out.
The album is a concept album that tells a story of two teens living parallel lines, repressed and morose. Life for them is like a shithole, because they are living under tyrannical parents. The only difference between the two kids, is that one is affluent and the other improvised, both parents are controlling of their children, they look down on their kids true aspirations in life. One of the kids is Danielle, and all she wants to do is dance, she loves to express herself through the movement of her body, the other kid is Justin, he wants to be an artist and a photographer for a living. Danielle's parents want her to be a lawyer, she's been put through elite schools, with top tutors, and had a privileged lifestyle. Justin's parents want him to be an engineer, they have done nothing but made him study, and have an unbalanced life, causing him to be a loner and an outcast. He takes to art to release and throw his emotions and anger on a campus. Justin's parents are this way because they want him to make something of himself, because of their improvised life, life has always been rough, and giving Justin all they have can give him a glimpse of the American Dream. Tired of her father's dogmatic personality Danielle runs away. And lives on the streets of New York City, its there that her and Justin meet. They begin to get along, Danielle is Justin's first friend, and later girlfriend. Danielle and Justin both run away and go around the US, they don't want to ever be pinned down and decide to live free lives. As time passes they begin to grow closer, and fall madly in love with each other, Justin paints paintings and sells them to scrap up some cash. To them they live the perfect life, they eventually settle down, and have children. When their kids ask how they met, they both sit down and tell them their story, and the album fades away.
