FLOPPIN' ME


Funkin' Me The first single lifted from Cherise's forthcoming 2nd album 'The Other Sides Of..' has officially charted at a lowly #22, Her first single not to chart on airplay or in the top 20 singles.

Cherise's previous efforts have all had amazing chart runs and been massive airplay hits, (Pyramid#1, Redlight#3, Bottled Up#2) but the current era seems to be a flop, with just one week to go until the 2nd album is released and her joint contract ends with her labels Shooting Star and Monk On Fire is there anything left to save this era or her career!!

Of course you may say lack of promotion from Cherise or one of her labels Shooting Star could be to blame, only Monk on Fire even mentioned it was released late in the week!.

We all know Cherise has took early maternity after the death of Miss Vanity who she was supporting on the Welcome To Hell tour but could anything else of been done to promote this R'N'B starlets new single! Will either label now even push the album release or hope it just fades into obscurity as they will still be reaping the rewards from the massive debut album 'Destination Unknown' although with the way the new material is performing we think that question can be answered!.

Although MattY seems to be selling well still, has Cherise been blamed more for his behaviour than he has! Although Cherise just seems to be stupid in love have her fans sent her a message by abandoning her music to make her see sense!

All we know is Cherise's future is definately 'The Other Side of successful at the moment!

Cherise: Hey guys, hope your all well. I'm still chillaxin looking after myself and baby, morning sickness seems to stayed at bay for past few days so thats a plus. I'm attending the fans choice awards on Sunday with MattY looking forward to bit of showbiz style and catch up on hot music of late i seem to of lost track baby brain I think. Cherise Big Week Blog


Hey guys, so I'm still resting not doing much concentrating on myself and baby still, went to Fans Choice awards last night first time been out in ages it was really good and was brilliant to see MattY scoop Best Male.

So what else is going on for me well I'm still writing material considering I am going to be coming back to music one day and also trying to keep in touch with the scene, there's some hot new talent about, Kia looks amazing and Buzz&Hype wow, loved Giselle and Domnic Brown last night and also David Walsh was amazing so entertaining.

You probably seen a few articles floating about regarding me flopping well I'm not we didnt expect massive things from 'Funkin' Me' as there is no video or promotion for it but airplay has picked up nicely and it climbed the charts yesterday to #13 so I'm happy with that. also heard rumours i'm going to be dropped, well officially my contract has ended as my final album on my 2 album joint deal to ShootingStars and MOFM has concluded with the release of 'The Other Sides Of..' which is out today and as there isn't going to be any more singles from the album thats me done for now, you will hear in the future if i get offered new contracts, although at the moment I'm not expecting anyone to be banging at my door.

So big week this week out of contract, album out, single climbing and most important of all I have another scan this week 18weeks has arrived so got to make sure all developing ok and hopefully not find out its twins also hoping to find out the babys sex although not sure MattY wants to know or not, he been very quiet lately.

I also want to send out my heartfelt sympathies to Katie Coyle's family such a sudden shocking tragic way to be taken and although I never met her personally her album has been one of the most amazing pieces i have listened to in a long time.

So thats me Cherise update for now I'm sure I wont be able to conceal babys gender if we find out so for now love you all and remember 'Funkin Me' and 'The Other Sides Of..' OUT NOW!!

Official Statement



Hi all, I would like to first say a big thank you from myself and MattY for all the wishes,thoughts and prayers that have been sent out to us it is much appreciated at this sad time for us.

It has been a very upsetting and painful experience for both of us, losing our unborn daughter 'Angel' before having the joy and pleasure of meeting, caring and loving her is very very hard to take in and we feel for every mum, dad, aunt, uncle any family that has experienced this loss.

We have been very greatful to the staff at the hospital for their love and care and dedicated work they do day in day out and have decided that we would like to show our support of them to say thank you.

There is a song from my album that I think fits very well with our current emotional state and experience and have decided to release it on Sunday with all proceeds going to the mother and baby unit at the hospital.

We hope you join with us by supporting the great work that they do as without them many would not have the support and care that is very much needed. 'Raw' will be released to all major download sites.
