What if its killing in order to save more lives in the long run? Because essentially, that is what is happening in the Middle East.

i call massive bollocks on that...

as ive said earlier so far for every single person who died on 11/9, 251 innocent people have died in the middle east...

how is killing over 700,000 people saving more lives in the long run?

Thats a crazy stat i wasn't aware off.

Even at that, we can't just pack up and leave there. We are not at peace with Al-Qaeda which will result in more attacks. Unfortunately that's the way it is. Until some sort of agreement is arranged there will always be a battle going on there. Much like the IRA ceasefire agreement.

Nahh, its not that i think people outside the US are ignorant to this. The British are in the same battle as are the French and many other nations. If anything, the British are controlling the situation more than the US are. The US owe a lot to the British for their work out there.

Its still not right, i do feel for the people living in these countries being woken to the sound of explosions and gun shots. Knowing that today could be your last, i think its really sad. I wouldn't have the war their if it was down to me under normal circumstances, its the fact that what is going to happen if we pack up and leave them countries. There will be more attacks; bigger, stronger and cause more devastation. I think if we can however, cut the fighting down. Try reach some sort of agreement, bargain with Al-Qaeda, hear their side to the story.

Well, didn't i hear the Brits provided Gadaffi and his rebels weapons years ago? But, hey, lets not get into shit like that. We're having digs now and getting into politics and personal shit. I want to keep this a healthy debate because its really interesting the different points of view.

Oh.. well, its all business, right?xD
Yes i agree. I was opposed to that statement and gave many reasons why with the big one being the British are more involved in the war against terrorism than The US.

To be fair, Puerto Rico is one of the leading contenders for 51st State, its pretty much considered a ghost state already(Like the fifth member of the Beatles). The only thing they really can't do is vote in U.S. Presidential Elections.

true.. Which i think is rediculous....
Puerto Rico was given the the USA in what..1889.... so for over a hundred years they have been a part of America but had no say in the presidential election?
no taxation without representation?

I don't know, like in the UK, we do a lot of weird shit here. Why isn't D.C. a state? It's so weird going to D.C. since it's an all around terrible place unless you're looking to go to a venue.

The whole DC not being a state thing is fucking annoying! Most people dont realize that the Washington DC isn't actually in the state.. Washington, which is often confused for being Seattle.. which is not a state. - If you get me?

D.C., funny enough, is the other close contender for 51st State, right in front of Canada and behind Puerto Rico.

That's not the only weird thing, one time I saw a guy fucking a trash can. That type of thing stops your entire day, you just have to watch that guy go to town.

Also @Stephanie, except for vote in U.S. Presidential Elections while you're a Puerto Rican citizen.

@McKenzie - Seattle should be a state, it's awesome! Seriously though, D.C. isn't a state. WASHINGTON, which contains Seattle, Olympus and where Twilight is set, is a state.

I love Seattle, most people think it sucks but it really is amazing. I usually leave the fact Twilight is set in Washington out.. its a cool state. Actually, speaking of Washingotn.. its probably the closest compression in America to the UK. The weather in Seattle is the exact same as the UK with the exception its a little warmer in the summer.

This is true. All you need is a passport.

@McKenzie: Washington itself is pretty awesome, only bad part is its on the West Coast.
