Raven Allen James, also known as Raven J, was born on January 19, 1991 in London, United Kingdom. As a child, she was fascinated in music and instruments. By the age of 5, she learned and began to play the piano and the drums.
By the time Raven was 9 years old, her interest in music led for her parents to study at one of the best musical schools in London. She joined a church choir at the age of 11, and by 13, her notebook was filled with church songs she has written and sung while in the choir.
Raven's desire for a music career began when she attended her first concert, seeing British Icon Madonna perform. She has since had a passion for music. While attending her first year in High School, she, and group of girls formed an all-girl band, named The Teens. Together, they recorded demos to submit to a label. They submitted 2 demos to Sony Music Entertainment in which was turned down due to the label's non-interest in all-girl bands. In early 2009, Raven left the band to to begin a solo career, as she stated that the band wasn't going anywhere.  Colours Explode - 21 January, 2012 - Chart Peak Positions (T20DSC #19/Airplay #DNC)

There she goes again!! Miss Raven J performed among an audience of over 100! Performing last night in Glasgow, she sung 4 tracks off her upcoming E.P./Album. She stated that this is the last booking that she has before she performs at TA5, Loud & Clear, and Giselle's North American & South American tour legs.

Hey guys, how are ya doing? Hope you guys favoured my latest single Colours Explode. I have a lot going on this year.... Touring, recording, promotions, and other things! Also, I've been in the studio with Den... Yes Den!! From the breakthrough band of 2011, Teen Titans! Working with Den was a good experience and pretty soon I'll be hitting the studio with Giselle..
