INFEXXION BIOGRAPHY (Member Breakdown Included)

Four diverse characters make up the band 'Infexxion'. Let's do this run-down style, so we don't leave anyone out.

Johnny Deck - Vocals (Age 28)

Johnny's a charismatic fellow, and isn't afraid to voice his opinion. Likewise, most of his friends say he offers great advice. After dropping out of high school, Johnny developed a love for singing, and could be heard singing anything from Metallica to The Offspring in his late teens and early twenties.

Leon Deck - Drums (Age 31)

Leon's quite opposite to his brother, Johnny. He's a soft spoken man, and doesn't like to show off. He rocks out with a five-piece drum kit, and he's the one who usually updates the website. He's married with two children.

Jasper Fade - Bass (Age 29)

Jasper's a large man, and he used to be a drummer. In fact, when the idea of Infexxion was kicked around, Jasper was originally on drums, but when Leon offered to be in the band, Jasper quickly took up bass. He's often seen wearing a ball cap during the live shows, usually turned backwards.

HISTORY

Infexxion started as a small side project of a group of 3 guys who wanted to jam. The original line up was Johnny Deck on Vocals and Bass, Christian Walling on lead guitar, and Jasper Fade on drums. However, after the band started taking themselves more seriously and dedicating themselves to music, Johnny's older brother Leon took up drums and Jasper switched to bass, relieving Johnny to just vocals. The band played several clubs in 2007, trying to build somewhat of a reputation for themselves.

Their big break hit in 2009 when they released their debut album, secured a website, and launched their first US tour. The album was named 'Missing Piece Of The Puzzle', and while it didn't fair too well with critics, the band saw it as a giant leap forward in terms of broadening their scope of possibilities. "When you go from playing in front of 200 people at a local club to playing in front of 1,000 people that are YOUR fans, it's just mind blowing when you put it into perspective of where you were to where you are now." Lead singer Johnny Deck says. Infexxion were unable to complete their 'Missing Piece Of The Puzzle' tour due to bassist Jasper Fade breaking his leg and the band unable to afford a replacement tour bassist.

Instead, the band gave a gift to the fans in the form of a quick follow up album. A mere two months after the band's debut, their sophomore album 'Black Lifeline' hit store shelves. The album got amazing reviews, but somehow managed to fly under the radar, not even breaking 500,000 sales. Still, the band saw it as an amazing success and played their hearts out to their fans on the 'Black Lifeline' tour with no support from any other bands.

The band continued to support Black Lifeline with some off shows and touring as support with 'Written In Red' on a leg of their tour. The band enjoyed the diversity amongst the crowd and appreciated the help they got with playing larger venues. It helped them pump out 3 singles from Black Lifeline, 'American Terrorist', 'Abyss', and 'Godsend', among all of them 'Abyss' being the most popular but the band chose to usually close their set with 'American Terrorist' for the majority of their tours in support of Black Lifeline.

The band was then not heard from for several months, with exceptions of sparse updates from Leon, confirming the band hadn't broken up and they had a 'surprise' coming for the fans. Bassist Jasper Fade had personal issues to work out (as confirmed by Leon, bandmate) and the band did not return in full swing until July 2010 where a new single and tour was announced. The new single, 'Blow You Away' was released 07/03/2010.

The new Infexxion album, 'The Redemption', was released 7/20/2010. The second single from the album was confirmed to be 'Forget Your Wishes' on 08/08/10, and was released the following week. 'Broken Sky' was the third single, and since had become their biggest-selling single. The band finished up 'The Redemption Tour' in September 2010, and then shortly after announced their own tour, 'The Rockers & Renegades Tour', and also announced they would be appearing at the 'Warped Tour!'. 'Shades Of Gray' was also announced to be the fourth single off 'The Redemption'. 'The Last Breath' was later released as another single. 'The Spectrum' was the 6th and final single from the album.

In January 2011, the band finished up the dates on 'Warped Tour!' and proceeded to announce on their website that guitarist Christian Walling was departing from the band due to personal issues. The band assured fans that there was no rivalry or hate, and that they have parted on good terms, and wish Christian the best in the future. Infexxion are currently in the process of recording their fourth full-length album, and have released an updated version of their old fan-favorite song "Burn Burn", titled "Burn Burn 2011", as a single. It has done very well on the charts. The band has said they are bringing in several guitarists to record on the new album, and will select a full-time replacement around the time the album drops. In a recent interview, drummer Leon Deck has stated there are about 14 songs written, and they're having a hard time narrowing it down to 10, and that "about 75% of the recording is done".

06.11.09 INFEXXION CONFIRMS TOUR POSSIBILITY

Hey guys, Leon here again. Just wanted to confirm we may be supporting Gillians on their 'Along The M62'. We'd love to go up to the UK and support those guys, but we can't right now. If they do tour the US, though, we are there baby! Let's pray! But, whatever happens, we respect Gillians as fellow artists and love their music. It's sure to be an awesome tour, guys.

07.03.09. THE ALBUM IS OUT

Guys, it's Leon. What up. Check this out, our album, is OUT. Yeah, we did it guys. I didn't update the site for going on a month, but we've managed to come up with an entire album. It's called 'Missing Piece Of The Puzzle' check out the album art!

UserPostedImage

Enjoy it, guys. Here's a track run-down.

1. Your Loss 4:56

This song opens with a small guitar riff, and slowly builds up. Then the drums come in, first with a light beat on the toms. The guitar gets louder, and the drums do, as well. A thumpy, in your face bass jumps into the song, and a long scream by Johnny our singer brings the song full throttle as it kicks into motion. The song's lyrics focus on someone leaving you, but you realize it was their loss, and it's not worth worrying about.

2. Vindictive 3:20

Right at the start of the song, Johnny sings "This is the way I want it, this is the way it will be. If you don't like it, then do something to me." and then the drums and guitar and bass come crashing into the song, pushing it into a full throttle hard rock anthem, with the lyrics focusing on how things should be the way you want, and not strive to live for someone else.

3. One Wrong Move 3:54

This song slows down the force of the first two songs, with a slow-paced guitar riff, and Johnny's vocals break in, singing about how doing one wrong thing can ruin your entire life. Halfway through the song, the drums and bass kick in, and the song transforms into a ballad.

4. Burn Burn (Lost It All) 2:34

The only original song that made the album. The song starts with a fast, catchy bass riff and Johnny singing " Love it, hate it, use it, forget it. Heaven has no place for people like you, so burn burn baby, burn burn" and following a quick and small snare roll, and a crash cymbal, the song pushes itself into its half-screaming half-singing chorus, keeping a metal beat throughout the song.

5. Breaking Away 3:12

The song opens with a small build up, and leads into a quick, punky snare-bass beat with the lyrics dealing with being pushed aside in order to keep going with who you are. This song features a 45-second guitar solo.

6. Skylight Firefight 4:21

The entire first minute of the song is a breakbeat-style intro, and at the 1 minute mark, a drum intro happens for 5 seconds and the song kicks into a slower, ballad-type. The lyrics describe first-person the life of a soldier. At the climax, or bridge, of the song, the soldier is killed, and the last chorus is changed to past-tense, reflecting on the soldier's life.

7. Cross 2:01

This song deals with the topic of religion. It's a slow song. The lyrics focus on Christianity, and while the lyrics go in-depth about beliefs, they also somewhat question their faith, perhaps during a rough patch in the singer's life. "I believe, I swear I do. The faith drives me forward, but thinking twice is something I cannot help but do." describe the dillema of believing or questioning.

8. You're No Different Than Them 3:55

The song starts with a harsh scream, heavy drums, a driving bass line, and a crunchy guitar. Johnny sings about at first trusting someone, but coming to find out they were no different than anyone else. The singer is isolated, and alone, left with only himself. This song is the heaviest on the album, featuring a scream in every chrous, and in 2 versus.

9. Last Chance 3:27

Another slow song, the slowest on the album. The lyrics deal with a person who is seconds away from killing themselves. They describe a gun pressed to someone's head, and their last thoughts. They go into detail from remembering every mistake they made, and comparing it to how the gun feels against their temple. At the end of the song, the singer's fate is left unrevealed, though after the last song, a gun can be heard opening, and the bullets dropping to the floor, implying that, like the song title, the singer gave themselves one last chance.

10. Perfect Isolation 2:46

A catchy guitar riff, the first minute and a half is entirely insturmental. When the lyrics break in, it goes quicky Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Chrous. Only the kick drum and hi-hat are heard until the 2 minute mark (bridge) where the toms, and finally the snare, break in. After this song, somewhat considered a hidden track, a gun is heard snapping open, and bullets are heard scattering across the floor.

Thanks for reading this, guys. And check out our album in stores now!

BEEN TOO LONG

Hey guys. Wow. It seems after we released our debut album (which totalled 48,188 copies moved so far! Thanks!) We fell under the radar. Many were expecting a tour to follow, in support of the album. I, along with the rest of the band, apologize for the lack of one.

The debut managed to snag a rating of '48'. Not entirely the best, but it's our debut. Anyways, whew. What happened? This is the big question.

Jasper Fade was snowboarding and missed a large jump, snapping his leg. He was put into the hospital, and we cancelled the "Missing Piece Of The Puzzle Tour" which was supposed to start right after the album released. We called off the tour, but we didn't announce anything. Fans were at a loss, and it seems for the past month or so, we've been non-existant. No site updates, no singles from the album. Well, Jasper's leg didn't get broken as bad as we thought, and he should be good to go soon.

SO, what's the future for Infexxion?

We're hard at work at some new music. We figure a tour this late, after the debut of the album, would be rather insulting to the fans. We might play a few shows, but we're not going on a tour in support of the debut. To make it up to all the good fans, keep an eye out. We're looking to release a new single sometime soon.

Johnny's voice has been sore the past few days from recording, but he's doing good. Christian's now got a son, so that's great. Best of wishes out to him and his new family. Jasper's leg is healing up well, he's been getting back to health playing some video games like Guitar Hero to keep 'practicing' and myself, Leon, have been checking out some local bands to see if anyone would want to do a few gigs with us.

Keep an eye out. We're back for good, guys.

ALBUM NEXT WEEK, TOUR CONFIRMED, DATES!

Guys what's up?! Leon here. Got a load of news and not a lot of time. Our sophomore album 'Black Lifeline' is hitting shelves NEXT WEEK! Check it out on iTunes, Amazon, and your local music store, you don't want to miss this one! Confirmed track for the album and new single 'American Terrorist' has been doing great, thanks guys! We shot a video that's releasing in a few days for it, tons of fun.

Next, for what everyone's been waiting for. We are ready to tour! It's August 25th, and in early September, we are starting a tour with fellow hard Rockers Written In Red. We're really looking forward to touring with them, and being in their support slot is a huge honor for us. Check out the shows we have with them, we'll have merch and be signing autographs after our show. We always love to stick around and hear what the fans thought of the performance!

Lastly, Jasper's leg is 75% healed, and he will be on the tour. No crutches, no cast. You guys just don't see him jumping around as much. But, super props to him for his dedication after nearly breaking his leg to come back with a follow up tour in this short amount of time.

Starting tomorrow, we're going to be playing as many small clubs/theaters as we can before we kick off our tour with Written In Red, just to warm up and get back into 'tour mode'. Dates are up, check it out!

All for now, stay tuned guys.

09.24.09 OFF-DATE ONE NIGHT TRIBUTE SHOW ANNOUNCED

What up guys, Leon here! Just wanted to say that on September 27th, which is one of our days off from the tour with Written In Red (which is amazing) we will be doing a tribute show at a club in California. The tribute will be to one of our influences, a band called LINKIN PARK. That's right! The name of the show will be "Infexxion Tributes Linkin Park" and we will be doing a full set full of Linkin Park songs. We hope you guys come out to see us perform songs from one of our influences! We will be doing this more often, as there's nothing more satisfying than paying tribute to those who influenced you!

Wow guys, it's been FOREVER! Besides playing a few off-shows, Infexxion has just been chilling and taking life easy. Right now, I'd like to thank all the fans for supporting us, our sophomore album 'Black Lifeline' has sold 371,573 copies! We are very honored to say we have some great fans out there!

We might be kicking off a tour soon, we dunno. But if we do, you'll be the first to know! See you soon!
