Alicia Lena was born on 18th January 1988 in San Diego, California. Her birth parents we're heavily involved in crime and drugs so they decided that once she was born that they would put her up for adoption. Her adopted parents are Kelly and Mark Stevens, her birth father was spanish which means that Alicia is half spanish.
At the age of 8 she learned to play the piano and at the age of 11 she started performing at school events. At 16 she started to get into trouble regularly and spent most of her time on the beach drinking and partying. Since she started her music career she stopped the wild lifestyle for evenings writing music rather than partying.
She started her music career at 18 when she decided to go around America touring clubs, she supported The Junction in 2009 at their New York gigs.
She signed a record deal in 2010 with Junction Records!. and released her debut album This Is Who I Am which peaked at number 14 in the USA and has gone on to sell over 5 million copies, it has also spawned the hit singles New York Love Affair [#26], More Than You'll Ever Know [#17], Party-Starter (Feat. Tisha Jackson) [#7] and Rooftops (Feat. Ryan Ross Hernandez) [#3]. Her music is a mix of Pop/R&B and Blues.

BREAKING NEWS
"It has been confirmed that on Thursday evening Alicia Lena met up with Ryan Ross Hernandez in Miami to discuss a role for her upcoming album, It's thought that Hernandez will be playing guitar on a couple of tracks and will be co-producing 4 songs from the album along with Tony Visconti".
It's reported that she went to Miami on Thursday evening at around 8pm to meet with Hernandez to talk about collaborating on her debut album This Is Who I Am. According to reports she flew back to New York in the early hours of friday morning.
Reporters outside of her New York apartment caught up with Alicia as she was making her way to the record studio where she is expected to be working on her debut album she had this to say. "I spoke to Ryan yesterday evening about a role on the album and we're gonna meet up in the next few days to work on about 4 songs from my album, I got back to New York early this morning so I'm a bit tired,".
When asked about her plans for the day she said "I'm on my way to the record studio and I'll be working with some people there until about 2pm and then I'm gonna be going back to my apartment and I'll probably just spend the rest of the day at home."
She then went into a car and made her way to The Hit Factory Studio in New York.

"I just thought I'd let you guys know that my debut single New York Love Affair (Feat. Stephanie Fierce) which I was hoping would be released at the end of February will be pushed back and it's likely to be released sometime in April, I'm sorry for the delay and the lack of updates on my website but I've been really busy trying out new songs for my debut album and I've spent the last couple of weeks in the record studio but the album's slowly gathering pace and hopefully it will be released in the summer"

"Just to update you guys, The album will be released on Monday 10th May 2010 and as of yet it's undecided if the 1st single from the album New York Love Affair (Feat. Stephanie Fierce) will be released before or after the album is release but I'll let you guys know when I get the information on it.
Thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered the album and I can't wait to tour the album".

There's gonna be an interview with me in the latest issue of Rolling Stone and that's gonna have all of the information you guys need.
There's gonna be information on my debut album, New York Love Affair including a release date and also my friendships with other musicians.
