And now I have the epic first MGS album all planned out, with pretty much the most awesome songs ever written by a human (or am I?) with all kinds of clever wordplay and flamboyant verbosity (not to mention the fact that the file consisting of just the ten track titles is over 550 words long (oops, I mentioned it)), and I can't put the bastard out...

I have the very same problem :-(
I've been saving my points for a few days (don't know really why). I thought I would need over 100 points to spend them on a producer cause the producer never appears and from the message you get it seems you pay the producer with your points, not cash. But even though I was saving my points, the producers simply don't exist! And I have a couple of really high rated songs. It's very frustrating I cannot release them as a single :-(

Any idea when this bug could be fixed?

nah, how it works from memory is that you pay a producer with cash. And then you spend points which equal how long the band is going to spend in the studio perfecting the sound.

I thought that in the beginning. But still it doesn't make sense. I have a band which doesn't have much money, and a band which has about 200.000Ł. I can't imagine that recording of a single would cost more than 200.000Ł!

Or is it just not working at all?? Anybody knows anything? (Is it the same with the albums?)

It's not working because there are no producers in the database. When it comes to choosing a producer, it displays all the options for you to choose from, even if you can't afford them, and since there are no options, there are no producers. It's probably not that the entries are empty, that'd just show nameless producers, there's actual missing entries, or possibly the system is pointing to the wrong database address, like "producer" instead of "producers" - It could be a simple typo from an earlier version.

There's a number of other things missing from it too, band logo for one thing. Nothing we can really do till Carl fixes it.

No, the game has really come to a bit of a stand still. I'll talk to Bikz about trying to contact Carl later.

Nope. Then again, this is probebly a good thing, because it stops people just releasing singles with the rating of like 20

Balls to that, I could release a 100 single with 2 90+ B-sides right now. I could release an album of 80+ songs right now. It's not for the best at all, and in 2 months time you will still get people releasing singles with a rating of "like 20" because that's what newcomers do, they want to release a single.

Hopefully this'll be fixed by the 11th, the SOTK album's out on the 12th.
