When 'Heart On Line' by Kourtney finishes playing, the show begins.

"Hi everyone, it's the 'Kegan Radio Show' on BBC Radio 1 and that was Kourtney with 'Heart On Line'. The first of all the big tunes I'm playing for you today and this week's guest is the biggest boy band around. It's Weekend."

"Hi guys, how are you doing today?"
Oscar: "Great, thanks. Really happy to be here. Thank you for having us."
Scott: "It's great to be here, it's been so long since we've all done an interview and although there's only four of us right now, it still feels good to be 'Weekend' again because we've all been away doing our own things. It's nice to finally be doing an interview and feeling all professional again."

"So Riley couldn't be here due to what happened recently. Is he OK now?"
Billy: "Riley's holding up. Obviously he's not 100% himself and he's not ready to return to work otherwise he'd be sat here with us today, but um...he is making a recovery, he's not shutting himself off from people like he was just after the incident and the real Riley's starting to come back."
Oscar: "Yeah, he still needs some time out because he's endured a really traumatic whirlwind of tragic events over the past year and we all know that Riley's quiet, keeps to himself and doesn't like attention or to make a fuss so he kept all his anger, sadness and stress all bottled up and I think it just suddenly hit him and became far too much for him and it's a real shame because he's a lovely person and it's horrible seeing him like this. We aren't sure when he'll come back and we don't mind how long it takes because someone who has been through all of that really deserves to have a timeout and the pressure of promoting a new era in our career would be a little too much for him at this moment in time. He hasn't quit the group, he's just taking a little break."

"So let's talk about your music. You have a new single out soon, right?"
Dustyn: "YAY! Yes we do, it's called 'Out Of My Mind' and I is so excited about it cos we hasn't released a song in such a long time! Oh it makes me so happy! I just wants to run around nakey and go crazy! I won't though cos that's badness and I'll be arrested and then we won't be able to promote our new single. Noooooo!!!!"
Scott: (laughs) "Yeah, we were going to premiere it today but unfortunately Riley isn't here and we couldn't take part in such a big moment in our career without all five members here to experience it together. Plus, Riley had a writing credit on the track and to premiere it without him wouldn't feel right."

"And what is it about? What does it sound like?"
Billy: "Basically, it's about not knowing where you stand in a relationship and it's driving you out of your mind. It talks about a girl..."
Dustyn: "...Or guy..."
Billy: "Yeah, or guy, who is really close and intimate with you at times yet the next minute they go off to flirt with the next person they see or maybe you call to arrange a date with them but they tell you that they need their own space. It's like you're only in a relationship when it suits them, when it's convenient for them and the rest of the time you just end up feeling like a spare part."
Oscar: "Talking about the sound of the song, I think it's the riskiest song we've ever recorded and to make it the lead single, it's a whole lot riskier....our manager thinks we're crazy for releasing it. It's nothing too abstract, the song is very easy on the ears but for us, it's very different to our previous pop/dance material. 'Out Of My Mind' is also mid-tempo and could be mistaken for a ballad and it's quite odd nowadays to lead an album without an upbeat track. I like to say it sounds like Coldplay meets Emeli Sandé. It might sound weird but you'll understand when you hear it."

"So are you also releasing the new album with this single?"
Scott: "We certainly are and like Oz said, it's a huge risk but we all believe in the song."
Dustyn: "Yeah, we put out a track called 'Tonight' at the start of the year which was a dance record and we was going to use that as the lead single but our personal lives were filled with busy stuffs at the time and we wasn't able to promote it or the album so we cancelled it and just left the song online so it would give the fans something to listen to whilst we do more recording."
Billy: "People think that since 'Tonight' premiered online in January up until now, we've just been sitting around on our arses and doing nothing....am I allowed to say 'arses'? Is that classed as swearing?...anyway, we weren't sitting on our....bums, we have actually been writing so much. I think between us, we've written way over 100 songs. It was hard to record because Scott ditched us and went to live in America with his girlfriend but when we did meet up, we worked our bums off and stayed in the recording studio to record the tracks for literally days on end."

"Well I'm sure it's going to be a good album. We're taking a break now though and while we do, send in your questions to the guys with the hashtag #KeganDawsonShow! They're answering some later. Now enjoy this amazing song from Vanity, it's 'Dancing On Air'!"

'Dancing On Air' by Vanity plays and Kegan speaks again right at the end of the song.

"So we are back, hoping you enjoyed the song. It's 5:15 pm and we Weekend here at the 'Kegan Dawson Show'."

"So guys, does the second album sound much different from the first one?"
Oscar: "It's a natural progression from the first record. The lead single is the only track that is really different from our previous work but everything else still sounds like a Weekend track. We've worked with a lot of the same writers and producers but the songs are a lot maturer and our voices have all matured too so it won't be like an exact copy of 'Fired Up', there's a lot of subtle differences but doesn't stray too far away from what you'd expect from us."
Dustyn: "Also, we does sharing more on this album. We share singing time and we get more solos than we did on the first cos we think that it wasn't fair on other members if one was singing the majority of the album and another member only had like ten lines in total."
Scott: "Another thing is that when we say 'maturer', it's not like we swear on the album or sing songs with controversial topics...well, there is one but that's more heartfelt than just an excuse to shock. We've all grown since the last album, experienced so much and learned from it and that comes through in the lyrics of our new songs. In our past work, if we came up with an idea for a song, we'd start writing it with two motives; that it's catchy and that it's a hit. Now, we're going deeper into the songs and instead of pitching lyrics just because they rhyme or sound good, we're drawing from our own personal experiences, writing about things we've been through and really having a connection with the songs."

"Are there any collaborations?"
Oscar: "Unfortunately, I cannot divulge that information. You'll just have to wait and see."
Billy: "Yeah, we're keeping quiet.....for once!"

"But speaking of your music, I know that you're releasing some solo stuff too, Oscar."
Oscar: "Yes I am and that's been pushed back I don't know how many times but something is coming probably on the other side of summer. This has been in the process for the best part of the year and nothing has ever surfaced due to other commitments. I don't want to release a single then have to cancel the album and future singles because of other things so I'm waiting until everything falls into place. The solo stuff is just a little side project though, I don't see myself as the 'solo star' or better than the band because I'd be nothing without these guys and this band is were I belong..."
Billy: "Until you decide to jump out another bathroom window...."
Oscar: "Oh shut up, you....anyway, where was I?...Yeah, I don't think I'll ever be a full-time solo artist but I've got some stuff that I'm really proud of and we don't think it suits Weekend and it's a shame for it to go to waste so I'll be releasing it on my own."

"Does it sound different from the group's sound?"
Oscar: "Yeah it's sort of like Weekend, it's pop/rock which is our main genre but the styling is different if that makes sense? It's hard to explain...I um, I'm quite humorous with my writing...it's nothing over the top, it's not a comedy album, just a little tongue-in-cheek and quite random at times. It's not Weekend's style but not far off either. You'll understand once you hear something."

"What about you other guys? Is anyone else going to release solo music too?"
Billy: We always said that if we were to go on a break and were offered to do some solo work then we'd do it up until it was time to work as a band again. Solo stuff would be more of a side project and a treat for the fans."
Scott: "Yeah, like Billy said it would be something to bridge the gap up until it was time to work together again but we might not even do solo stuff because we aren't sure if Weekend will ever go on a hiatus. However, I have been approached by someone to feature on a track and I can't say anything just yet but I'm really excited about it and that would mean that I'd be working outside the band. Fingers crossed that the track with this artist gets released as a single and goes to number one so I can rub it in these guys faces!"

"Are there any other solo projects planned, apart from music?"
Dustyn: "I has a few things in the pipeline. I just filmed a documentary for BBC Three and it's about children with autism and it shows how their parents do coping, it shows their daily routines, difficulties they face and programmes that is run to do helping them. I has autism so it is something I really connect with. I also has another documentary coming up and I also has something else coming up which involves Blakey but I can't say yet because I hasn't even telled him so he might not even agree!!"
Scott: "Riley's signed up for a second series of 'Diary Of An Escort'. I honestly envy him. His acting is out of this world and it's an amazing role. He plays it so well, it's hard to believe that that is the innocent, loving Riley Hamilton on our screens. I've also dabbled in acting too. Last year, I filmed a horror movie with Justin Gray from ELMNT alongside a few other Australian actors and actresses. It's an independent straight-to-DVD release and should be out....next month...I think, don't quote me on that. It was a good chance to do something different and to speak in my Australian accent which I seemed to have lost since I moved here when I was like six."

"And what about as a group instead? Are you guys planning to do something that's not music-related together? Like a movie for example."
Billy: "There was a discussion about making a movie but again, it's finding the time to get it all together and to be honest, although it's a great idea, the music is the main focus right now and I think a movie would add too much pressure and certainly, with Riley going through a rough patch and with so many commitments, learning lines for a whole movie would be a bit too much. Saying that though, we do have a book coming out and we've already written that so the stress has been lifted. It's an autobiography and it's quite a big book because you're getting five different stories. Five different lives in the one book. There's also lots of pictures in it if you don't like reading."
Scott: "Billy just loves to share pictures of himself."

"I think he certainly has all the rights to. (Laughs) Anyway we're having another break now, but keep listening because there is another song for you. It's 'Dirty Little Heart' by Alex Simms!"

'Dirty Little Heart' by Alex Simms plays and then ends with Kegan speaking again.

Nice one! You enjoyed it too, right? Anyway it's now 5:23 pm, you're still listening to the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1 and Weekend are still here with us.

"So guys are going on another tour anytime soon?"
Oscar: "Yes we are! However, we don't have any dates yet but we're looking at the beginning of next year. We want to promote the album, release a few singles then go on tour. Plus we need to make sure that Riley is OK first and that we also have childcare all sorted out."

"Yeah, I know that most of you already have families with kids and partners. How are you going to deal with that since it's gonna make you all busier?"
Dustyn: "Well I always bring Shay with me wherever I go and now that The Zone is taking some time off before their next album, hopefully I can take Blakey with me too!"
Billy: "It's so much easier nowadays though as you've got all the social networks, you've got Skype so it's easy to keep up to date with what's going on with the family. Also, if we're doing a show not too far from home, I'd bring Andrea and Daniel with me and I know Oscar does the same with Eilidh and Roo."

"Some of you have actually become fathers at a young age. Did you find that hard at the beginning?"
Oscar: "Honestly, no. I know there's been a huge media backlash against us for becoming fathers so soon but age is just a number. You could be 17 and an amazing parent whilst someone who is 39 could be a dreadful parent. The hardest thing about it is trying to find quality time with our families because of our busy schedules but when we do, and I'm sure I'm speaking for all of us, fatherhood is just natural to us."
Billy: "Well maybe for you, Dust and soon Riley but I've got a strong suspicion that Daniel hates me. He behaves for Andrea and as soon as I come withing 6 feet of him, he starts to scream. He even tried to headbutt me whilst I was cuddling him! Although, I can't complain because Daniel is my life, I love him and would do anything for his welfare."
Scott: "I must say, Dustyn is a great father. He was sixteen when Shay was born and everyone seemed to turn on him. I've got to tell you, for the amount of stuff he's been through, Dustyn's always been there for Shay and I've never seen someone adore a child so much."
Dustyn: "Aww thank you, Scott. Would you like a bite of my Snickers bar?"
Scott: "Thanks but no thanks, buddy. You can have it."

"Scott, you're the one that has yet to marry or have kids. Are you planning to do that anytime soon?"
Scott: "Haha, well I need to be careful with what I say here because I don't want Jen to freak out and kill me if I say something wrong. Well, I actually had a baby girl before the band was even formed. Unfortunately, she passed away when she was a few weeks old and then her mum and I went our separate ways and after that, the thought of starting a family again scared me because I was scared to go another loss like that. Seeing the boys with their kids does get me a bit broody at times and whilst I would love to have a family in the future, the fear of going through a loss again will always be in the back of my mind....sorry if I just like killed the whole conversation."
Oscar: "It's alright, mate. I also feel sorry for Scott and Jen because there is so much focus on them since they're not engaged nor expecting a kid and it's like they're being pestered, being forced to do those things and I don't think that's fair really. It's their lives, let them live it the way they want."

"That's true. We're now taking one last break to pick up the questions that you fans sent us though. I'm leaving you this song now in the meantime! Enjoy it."

'Who To Trust' by Isabel plays and then Kegan speaks again after it finishes.

"And that was Isabel with 'Who To Trust'. We're now back to finally ask Weekend your questions here at the 'Kegan Dawson Show'."

"The first one is from Sophie, she says "Hello, I'm a huge fan and I love you all. What is the favourite song of each one of you?""
Dustyn: "Well my all time favourite songs is 'Always Come Back To Your Love' by Samantha Mumba and 'Overload' by Sugababes but at this moment in time, out of the music that is out now I would have to say that I is in love with 'Goodbye (Rest In Peace)' by SYNCO. I isn't being biased cos I helped create them but I really love that song and it's always on repeat."
Scott: "I'm hooked on 'Skirt' by Kylie Minogue and 'Live It Up' by J-Lo & Pitbull. The production on those tracks.....insane! I love a good dance song and they really hit the spot. I'm also a huge Miley fan so 'We Can't Stop' is getting played to death too. My all time favourite though is....OK, this sounds so cheesy but it's 'Lucky' by Britney Spears. That song was released at a rough time of my childhood and although it brings back sad memories, I will always have a strong connection with that song."
Billy: "Well I love some R&B and my favourite song ever is definitely 'Don't Let Go (Love)' by En Vogue. I really miss R&B like that. Right now though I'm listening to a lot of Rihanna, Miguel and Ciara. The new Mariah song #Beautiful is also on repeat."
Oscar: "My favourite song at the moment is a track on P!nk's latest album and it's called 'Beam Me Up'. I think it's a stunning track and her vocals are as wonderful as ever. However, if there was one song I could listen to forever it would have to be 'Edge Of The Earth' by 30 Seconds To Mars. I love that song. Words can't even describe it."

"Another question here, from Sabrina. 'Guys, is it true that you were going to split up?"
Billy: "We weren't going to definitely split per say. A lot of us were going through difficult, testing situations at the start of the year and we all know that a certain someone left via a toilet window which also put a spanner in the works..."
Oscar: "Sorry about that."
Billy: "You should be....Anyway, Oscar came back but we were all still going through a lot in our personal lives so we said that we'd take like a month off to think about our next move and if our hearts weren't in it then we'd think about calling it a day. Thankfully, we were all willing to try and we decided that we should spend time apart, work at our own pace and just relax in order to make it less stressful and it really worked. If we didn't do that, I honestly think that the band would have ended by now."

"Ok, third question is from Mark who asks 'What are your workout routines?'"
Dustyn: "I is lazy, I don't do working out!! (laughs) I only exercise when the band is doing dance routines. I is naturally small and slim so I don'ts has to worry. It's not secret that I loves cakes and treats so I eat them all up and still stay thin. I think that I burn a lot of calories in bed with Blakey though!
Oscar: "Dusty! Oh, you just say what comes into your head don't you? (laughs)
Dustyn: "Yeah, isn't you supposed to? That's why you think things, because your brain wants your mouth to speak them out."
Oscar: "Oh God...back to the question, we're like the laziest guys ever. I have no idea how we're not obese. Billy is constantly cooking huge meals for us whenever we go around to his. We're all lazy cooks so we order a lot of Chinese and Indian food, which is not very healthy. I think, like Dusty said, it's because of the dance routines and jumping around on stage that we manage to stay slim.
Scott: "I think Riley is the only one who goes to the gym. He's also vegan so he eats a lot of healthy stuff too. He doesn't drink or smoke and he's a professional dancer on top of that. You seen his abs? I'm so jealous. Jen might run off with him!"

"And now one last question from Emily. "What are some of the goals you still want to achieve in your life?'"
Billy: "I think we've achieved a lot in such a short space of time and at such a young age. I'd love to have another number one single with this new album because it really pays off when you see something you've worked so hard on reach the top of the charts. Other than that, I'd say that we're already living the dream, what else could you want?"
Scott: "Yeah, as a group I think we've achieved a lot and it would seem greedy if we wanted a whole lot more because we really are grateful for what we've already achieved. A goal for me personally is to patch things up with my father and rekindle our relationship. I'd hate to become a stranger to him and unfortunately, I feel like I'm slowly becoming one."
Oscar: "I want to just be a good father, always provide for my family and make sure Roo grows up to become a wonderful person with a lot of respect for others. That's my main goal."
Dustyn: "I wants to has a bigger family. I love babies so much! I come from a large family and I wants to continue the tradition. We has a surrogate with twins on the way. I think it is going to tire poor Blakey out! So yeah, my goal is to have a big family.....oh and to buy new soap cos the one in the bathroom is all done."

"Thank you guys for being here and to the listeners for tuning in. Show is over, we had good time. Don't forget to tune in next week too!"
Scott: "Thanks for having us!"
Oscar: "When we release the album, I hope you invite us back for another interview! I enjoyed today, it was a lot of fun."
Billy: "Yeah, it was great being here."
Dustyn: "I loved it here! I thought you was going to be mad at me cos I telled Den not to marry you and that you is an overly jealous man and then he left you and breaked up. But you didn't mention that at all and I is glad nobody did!"

"Uhm... Well, thanks again guys and now I leave you with one last song by Reported Failure, this is 'Frosted Peaks'.

'Frosted Peaks' by Reported Failure plays and the show ends.

When 'Kiss Me' by GirlSpice finishes playing, the show begins.

"Hi to all of you listeners! it's the 'Kegan Radio Show' on BBC Radio 1 and what you just listened to was 'Kiss Me' by GirlSpice. So today we have another boy band with us and this time we're having a chat with ELMNT."

Hi guys, how are you all?
Ciaran: "Hello, I'm great thanks. Thank you for letting us come here. Not many people would trust us in such a small studio filled with so many buttons to press."
Michael: "Hi, I'm feeling really excited about this!"
Justin: "Me too! It's so surreal actually being here live on air doing an interview. I feel so professional...for once!" (laughs)
James: "Yeah, mark the date everyone. You rarely see Justin being professional. Usually he just sits around in his underwear, sleeps, farts then eats a lot of ice cream."
AJ: "Hi, I'm good thanks. Little tired because a certain someone wouldn't let me sleep."
James: "Yeah, I had a few too many beers last night and kept on calling him. The best part is that I'm not even sorry!" (laughs)

So you're finally releasing your music soon. How does that feel?
Michael: "For James and I, it's even more exciting because we've never had music we've made been released to the public and to be able for them to purchase and get into the charts. Justin, Ciaran and AJ were in a band before ELMNT so they're used to the feeling a little more than what we are and these guys know how excited James and I are."
Justin: "I'm still extremely excited though. It's coming up to our first release as 'ELMNT' and I'm so excited to see what the outcome is and how everyone reacts to our music. The first band Ciaran, AJ and I were in didn't really do well and it was a bit disappointing but this is like a second chance and not many people get a second chance in the industry. Certainly not one on such a big scale like this since we're signed to such a big label and have the support of one of the most powerful acts right now.

What will your debut single be about? What does it sound like?
James: "Well we intended 'Glassheart' to be our debut but since we moved labels, they might want us to go with something else. If it is 'Glassheart' however, it's a mid-tempo track with dance influences. We don't want to come out with something too clubby because we don't want to be dubbed as a dance act. We want something that will appeal to a wider audience and that will be easy on the ears."

And what about the album?
Ciaran: "There's a whole mixture of sounds in there. I'd say that it's predominately a pop album but we've drawn from our own personal influences and tastes and incorporated that to make our own sound. We've messed around with a lot of different styles we all love and...yeah, it's sounding great. Really interesting."

Are there any collaborations?
James: "Nope, it's just us. We've worked with a few people in the songwriting aspect but it's only a few and we have to keep hush-hush about that just now. But as far as vocals go, it's just us."
Justin: "Yeah, we thought it would be best to not have any collaborations on the album. It was a conscious decision. Since it's our debut we only wanted people to hear us, to hear what we have to offer. This is our debut, this us, this is ELMNT."

Can you tell the names of any producers or songwriters?
Michael: "We can't give too much away like James said but we can talk about the obvious things. Since we were signed to Kiss My Pop, we worked with Stefani Vola from G2L who ran the label. She produced a few tracks. Now that we're with Pesky, we've also written with Sara Hollywood who co-penned some of the biggest pop hits of the last year but that was after we finished the album however, we know that the guys at Pesky will probably want to reshuffle and rework the album for its released through the label."

Do you already have a release date for it?
Ciaran: "Originally, the album was going to be released in the middle of August but now we're with a new label, we'll have to push things back until we finally get settled in. Like Michael said, they'll want to put their own stamp on the album and material that Kiss My Pop thought would be good to include on the album might not hit the spot with Pesky so we don't know if we need to make any drastic changes, causing a major push back of the album."
James: "I doubt they'd push it back too far though, at the end of the day they still want to make a profit from it. I think that we might still be looking at an August release if there's only a few tweaks to be made to the record."

"I think you're right James, I agree with that. But it's time to take a break now though! We'll be back with ELMNT in a few minutes. You can start sending your questions with the hashtag #KeganDawsonShow and the guys will answer some later. Now enjoy this cool song from Vile Hour, this is 'Sympathies for Satan'!"

'Sympathies for Satan' by Vile Hour plays and Kegan speaks once the song ends.

"Here we're back at the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. It's 5:19 pm and the guys of ELMNT are here with us."

So guys, being moved to Weekend's label makes them your new bosses, doesn't it?
AJ: "Yes they are. It wasn't my decision, everyone knows how I feel about certain people but because they bought over our label we had no choice. We couldn't said we don't wish to stay at the label but that would leave us without one and who's to say we would've been signed to another one right away? It was for the good of the band to stay with Pesky. Even though...no, I'm just going to keep my mouth shut."
Justin: "I don't have a problem with Weekend and never did but we all know that there were a few feuds between members of each band so I was a little nervous about being part of their label in case they were still annoyed at us. They're in control of our funding, promotion and could drop us in a second but they've been amazing to work with, especially Riley and Dustyn."

But how did the all the rivalry actually start?
AJ: "Well..."
Justin: "..I don't think it would be a good idea to go into that. We don't want to reignite the fire, you know?"
Ciaran: "Yeah. All I'm going to say is that we were all a little younger, naive, both starting out in the music business and because we are really similar, I think it sort of rubbed people up the wrong way but we're moving on and being professional now."

Did you guys actually ever meet them in person?
AJ: "Yeah, Billy and I had a little....scrap one day. Legally, I shouldn't talk about this though."
James: "Before they became our bosses, I met Billy and Scott in person once. They were both at a Star Factory show but we never spoke to them. Most interaction between us was done via Twitter as you all know."

Well, what would you tell them if they were listening now? (Laughs)
AJ: "I'm just going to stay quiet."
Ciaran: "Yeah, you'll probably cost us a record deal!"
James: "I just want to thank them. They could've been terrible to us and just signed us to screw us over but they haven't. Also, they gave us another opportunity. Nobody forced them to help out KMP's financial troubles but they did so I really appreciate all they've done."

"That's true. I think it's time for another break now though. We'll be back in a bit, but in the meantime enjoy this song!"

'To All Of The Names Written On The Inside Of My Arm' by Riot! in the Boulevard plays and once it ends, the show continues.

Great one! That was Riot! In The Boulevard with 'To All Of The Names Written On The Inside Of My Arm' and you're still listening to the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. But now let's go back to the guest of the day, ELMNT.

So guys, changing the subject, are any of you guys dating anyone?
Michael: "I'm single and to be honest, I'd like to keep it that way for some time. I'm just focusing on the music right now. If ELMNT actually become quite big, I' think I'll honestly be terrified to enter a relationship because the media never give couples any breathing space at all."
AJ: "We're all single and I agree with Michael, I'm not looking for anything. If I happen to stumble upon something special I'm not going to let it pass me by though."
Justin: "I'm just waiting for the right person to come along."
James: "All I'm going to say is that I'm not one for relationships and the boys know that I'm more of a....one night kind of guy." (laughs)
AJ: "More like 'one minute'."
James: "Oh shut it, you."
Ciaran: "Well I've got my eye on someone and we've met up....I'm not going to say anything though because it's nothing official yet."

Well I'd actually date you Justin. (Laughs) Anyway what are your plans for the future?
Justin: (laughs) "Well thank you Kegan. Not quite sure what to say now though!"
James: "Well we just want to do what we love, make and release music. We hope to release our debut single next month and the album not long afterwards. Obviously, things aren't going quite smoothly right now because we've just changed labels and stuff."

Is there anything in particular that you want to achieve?
Michael: "We just want our hard work to be appreciated and hopefully break the boy band stereotype. Not everyone appreciates what boy bands do because most people see them as 'cheesy' and 'only for teenage girls' which might have been the case a few years but now, boy bands are really starting to push the limits. Although they might be classed as a 'man band', 'If You Seek Amy' look like they'll bring something new to the table, The Zone released a song about make-up sex which isn't something you would have heard from the likes of *NSYNC or Westlife and Weekend's latest single is pretty sublime and far from anything any boy band have done and different from what most artists are releasing today. I hope that our band can also change a lot of people's minds about boy bands and show that we aren't just aimed at a certain market.

"Sounds like a good goal. We're taking one last break to choose the questions from the listeners now though. Enjoy this song in the meantime! Enjoy it."

'Sweet Little Duck' by Carmen Grant plays and then Kegan speaks again after it finishes.

"And here we are. I'm sure you enjoyed that, it was 'Sweet Little Duck' by Carmen Grant. I'm now going to ask ELMNT your questions here at the 'Kegan Dawson Show'."

The first one is from Lindsay, she asks "Hey guys, who's your favourite artist at the moment?"
Ciaran: "I'm loving Jacob Estrada. I think he's got an amazing voice, wonderful songwriting skills plus he can play guitar really well. He's just an all-rounder which is a rarity in the industry these days, certainly in mainstream anyway."
Justin: "People always accuse me of lying when I say this but I really love Weekend. I admire them so much, they've achieved a lot in such a short space of time and really brought the boy band trend back. Their songs are amazing too."
AJ: "Tisha Jackson. She's just perfect in every way, shape and form. Her music is stunning and she's one of the only true R&B artists left in mainstream and she's killing it."
Michael: "I idolise Ryan Ross-Hernandez. Not a day goes by where I don't listen to one of his songs."
James: "I'd say that my favourite artist is.....I'm going to go with topLADs. They just came out of nowhere and had a lot of success and really made a name for themselves. They're really talented and they all seem like nice guys so yeah..."

Cool choices. Next question is from David who asks you "If you could describe your music in one word, what would it be?"
AJ: "Eh.....I couldn't really sum it up in one word....I'd say....I'd say that it's 'eclectic'. I don't like to think of the group being branded because if we say that we're a dance act then a few months down the line we decide to experiment and release an R&B track, you know that people will say 'you've sold out' or 'you're not being true to yourselves' so if we say our sound is eclectic then it's easier to release whatever we want without being criticised for mixing things around."
Justin: "We initially set out to be a dance/dub-step group but quite a lot of people are doing that already plus we don't know how long that trend will last. We want to have longevity and have a mixture of sounds that come together to make 'the ELMNT sound'. If we just followed what was hot right now then our albums would feel generic and could just be by a mixture of different artists. If we did a dance album then an R&B album then a...rock/pop album just because they happened to be in season at the time then our albums would seem so disconnected."

Ok, another question is from Juliet and it's "Hey, was being on the 'Star Factory' a good experience?"
Ciaran: "It was a great experience in a lot of ways. It gave us lots of exposure and it was a great way to get our names out there. The show also gave us a taster of what life as pop stars would be like, you know like...performing to large audiences and learning routines and all that jazz. Plus we met a lot of amazing people. I think that it also has a negative aspect because people are quick to brand you as untalented or another manufactured talent show act."
James: "Yeah I think people tend to just hear the name 'Star Factory', 'The X Factor', 'Idol' or whatever and immediately write you off and we have had a lot of snide comments like that but they have no idea how hard we've worked to get to this point. Three of the other guys; Justin, AJ and Ciaran, were already in a band with a record deal before this group formed so there's clearly potential and talent there. As ELMNT, we've been working so hard on our record and have had more input than most singers that have been in the industry for years."

The last question is from Anna. She asks "Can you tell any title of any track on the album?"
Justin: "Well again we aren't sure if the final tracklisting will be altered now that we're with a new label. They might want us to break into the industry with a different sound but as of yet, nothing has been changed but who knows? There are a few tracks that we definitely want to keep on the album and if the label want to change them then we'll fight for these tracks to stay. There's one called 'Around The World', another is 'Miss A Moment' and one that we all love is 'Girls'. I know that we're supposed to keep quiet about these things but a fan asked and I think fans should always get what they want.....within reason of course!"

Ok! Thanks guys for being here.
James: Thanks for having us, it was great being here.

"The show is now over but we'll be back next week again! I'm sure you guys enjoyed listening to us and thanks for tuning in! I leave you with this last song from Abie Lena featuring Tisha Jackson, it's 'Dead For A Reason'.

'Dead For A Reason' by Abie Lena featuring Tisha Jackson plays and ends the show.

'Come Alive' by Vanity finishes playing and the show begins.

Hi everyone! It's the 'Kegan Radio Show' on BBC Radio 1 and you just listened to 'Come Alive' by Vanity. Our guest for today is the beautiful Gemma Kane.

Hi Gemma, how're you doing?
Hey Kegan, I am doing excellent. Thank you *smiles*

So you released your debut single 'We Had The Power' as a solo artist. How did that feel?
To tell you the honest truth, it was very nerve racking. Sort of like, launching my career in a different way...starting fresh. So I had the debut jitters like no tomorrow but at the same time I felt so excited to get my music out there to my fans who have been waiting and to potential fans that I can garner on the way. Having the chance to be able to tell my story to different audiences was probably the most exciting of it all. I was just hoping that many people enjoyed the record because it's just the start of my solo career.

Leaving your group must have been difficult, was it?
Of course. I loved the girls like sisters. But there comes a time when enough is enough and you just can't take the fighting and the tension anymore. It really becomes a battle of it's own with who you are. It's exhausting. I am a type of person who does not like conflict and won't mind resolving it, but when conflict becomes permanent.. the only thing that I can do is walk. I've known the girls since our first year in college and we've been through thick and thin together, memories on top of memories and of course when you don't have that anymore it was difficult for me in the beginning but I was relieved as well. No more fighting.

How did all the problems within the group actually start?
I think it all began when we really started being recognized..that's where it started. It's sad that fame and attention would break up a group when really, our bond is suppose to keep us together. After Starfactory and our debut single, it all just started to fall apart from there, with no coming back.

Do you still talk to some of the other members?
No I haven't spoken to the girls in months. Aside from Natalya. But it's never a friendly conversation. Everyone else seems to be doing their own thing and I spoke to the Mercedes and Lily in April and we had a quick catch up of how we were doing and that was about it.

Well, I know what it means to end a relationship and how hard it is to talk to that person again. But ok, we're taking a short break now! To our listeners, remember to send your questions for Gemma with the usual hashtag, #KeganDawsonShow while you also listen to this amazing song, 'Bless Me' by Stephanie Fierce.

'Bless Me' by Stephanie Fierce plays and Kegan speaks at the end.

"Welcome back to the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. It's 5:18 pm and we have Gemma Kane here."

Gemma, going back to your music, do you already have a release date for your album?
I am aiming to have the album released this fall. I have been in the studio non stop putting this record together for all the fans to enjoy and it's coming along amazingly. I believe it should be all set and ready by September or October the latest. It all depends on if I am truly happy with the ending outcome and by the looks of it I believe everything will be on track for the fall.

Should we expect other tracks similar to 'We Had The Power' or are there gonna be songs with a different sound?
We Had The Power has this dramatic cinematic feel to it and I think that works really well with my voice, but I don't want the album to sound too 'movie soundtrack' like, so there's the dramatic records but I went easy with those type of records because they can become overbearing. There's a variety on the record but it predominately dance oriented with some EDM, and R&B. I've really been having fun in the studio recording the record and knowing that people who loved lashes, who love We Got The Power, who love EDM will really enjoy this record.

Can you tell the names of any producers or songwriters? Or even the names of some features...
I've been in the studio lately with The Wolverines and I have a few studio sessions with Max Martin and Dr Luke coming up. My husband James has produced on the record and has written with me. There's Peter Katias, but that's all I am going to name right now. There's a few more really cool producers on the album and they'll be announced as we get closer to the album release date. We're almost halfway through, but still a lot of work needs to be done.

Sounds pretty interesting, it's gonna be a good album I can tell. We're taking another break now. Everyone listen to this song and keep sending your questions.

After 'Heart Of Titanium' by the Teen Titans finishes playing, Kegan speaks.

"Ok, so here we are are back to ask more questions to Gemma Kane, guest of the day here at the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1."

So Gemma, you married James Urie last year. How did you guys meet?
*Smiles*. We met on the set of of Starfactory. Sparks flew from the moment I laid eyes on him but he would have never known. He approached me and from there we never looked backed. So glad I have met him.

And why did you decide to keep your surname Kane instead of using James' one for your stage name.
With all due respect to James...I want to build a brand for myself and my fans. Not as James Urie's wife. And when you hear the name, be honest... that's the first thing you think. So we both thought it would be best for my career if I went with my maiden name. As long as he understands, that's all that matters.

Well of course. But talking about your career again, what are the plans for the next few months?
To finish my debut album and no one knows this but I'll be touring with Vanity really soon! Which is something I am really excited about. Aside from touring, yeah, finishing my album, getting out some singles and embarking on my own headlining tour. Cannot wait.

And what about the future? I mean like in five years.
In the next five years, I want to still be performing and recording an album but by then it'll be 2018....I am hoping James and I will have a family started because by then I think we'll be situated enough to start a family and still juggle being parents and recording artists. Let's hope it all works out the way I really want it to. Which I am pretty sure it will. By then I want kids most definitely.

"I think you're right, you don't need to rush things. That's actually a mistake I even did myself. Anyway we're now taking one last break to pick your questions for Gemma and play this amazing song from Isabel for you guys! It's 'Who To Trust?', enjoy. "

'Who To Trust?' by Isabel plays and at the end, Kegan playfully hums a bit of the chorus and then speaks.

Amazing song, right? But it's time to ask Gemma the questions that you sent.

The first one is from Stephen who asks "Hello Gemma, what was the last song you listened to?"
Weekend's "Out Of My Mind". It's a cute song. Love them.

And the next questions is from Cody. He asks you "What's your favourite song off your album?"
That's a reeaaaally hard question and I really cannot choose right now. There's many different songs that I can say are my favorite. Right now I'll just go with my single We Had The Power...but I LOVE a lot more...just can't spill the beans like that!

Ok, another one from Ashley. "Hey Gemma, you were always my favourite on the 'Star Factory'. Was being on the show a good experience?"
Awww thank you Ashley. The show was an amazing experience! I am so grateful for having the opportunity to be a part of Starfactory and compete. To tell the truth, if it weren't for that show I wouldn't be sitting here right now... hell, I wouldn't have even met my husband. So being on Starfactory, and although we didn't win, it was seriously a life changing experience that I would re live any day all over again.

The last question is from Zoey who wrote "I love you Gemma, who's your biggest inspiration?"
I've always loved Vanity since my teen years. She's very inspiring. She's a fighter and she's always pushing boundaries and trying new things. The Vanity four years ago is totally different from the Vanity today. Reinvention is the key.

Ok, that was it! Thanks Gemma for coming to the show.
Thank you for having me Kegan! I hope to see you around soon!

Hope to see you too. And the show is now over but I hope our listeners enjoyed this interview and I'm leaving them with this last cool song by Destinee & Adele, it's 'You're My Incentive'. See you all next week again!

'You're My Incentive' by Destinee & Adele plays ending the show.

'Out Of My Mind' by Weekend finishes playing and the show begins.

Hi to all the listeners! This is the 'Kegan Radio Show' on BBC Radio 1 and that was Weekend with their new amazing single 'Out Of My Mind'. So today we have a girl band as a guest of our show and it's the girls of Synco.

Hi girls, how are you all?
Nicole: "Hi we're all great thank you"

So your latest single 'Don't Really Have To Go Now' was released a few weeks ago and it's a success. How do you feel about it?
Alex: "We're all just so incredibly happy and proud about how the song came out and about how much success it's having it's amazing really"

Your album 'High Speed' is also a success, how did you feel when you finally released your first album?
Layla: "Oh my God it was literally the most amazing experience ever I mean I've been dreaming about recording an album since...since the womb and to actually get to do that oh my God it's just so awesome
Alex: "We were all really happy about that again we were so incredibly unexplainably proud of how well our album"

Are you girls already working on a new one?
Layla: "Maybe"
Alex: "I've written a few tracks that might be good for a second album but we can't be 100% sure yet we only just released our debut single a few months ago it's a bit soon to be working on another one so fast"

What about next single? Have you decided the song already?
Jamie: "No actually Don't Really Have To Go Now was the last single we're releasing from High Speed"

So that means we can expect a brand new song next then. That's good. Anyway we're taking a break now and like always, remember to send your questions to the girls with the hashtag, #KeganDawsonShow and in the meantime listen to this new incredible song by Buzz & Hype, 'Screams In The Dark'.

'Screams In The Dark' by Buzz & Hype plays and Kegan speaks again at the end.

"So here we are back at the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. The Synco girls are here with us."

And so girls, are you going on tour any time soon?
Layla: "We don't know just yet but that would literally be so amazing"

What songs do you think you would definately perform on a tour of yours?
Alex: "We don't even know yet I'd like to perform Never Really Mattered again that one was pretty fun we performed it at the Chaos Awards and it was like our first actual choreographed performance"

Well girls, changing the subject, is anyone of you dating?
Naomi: "Just getting out of a relationship actually"
Alex: "Yeah I also recently got out of a relationship"
Layla: "Yeah I'm single too but that's not even surprising though I'm awkward around guys"
Jamie: "I'm also single"
Nicole: "I'm kinda single too but I really like somebody"

And what are your plans for the near future?
Alex: "Well I've been away from my family for awhile now being born in the us then moving out to London without them so I'd like to go over and visit them for awhile most of us apart from Jamie have been away from our families for awhile now actually"
Layla: "All I actually know is that pizza and Tumblr are going to be in my near future"

And what about your goals? Is there anything in particular you want to achieve?
Alex: "It'd be really awesome to headline or even just go on a tour someday so I'm just going to go" with that"
Nicole: "Yeah I really think that's something we'd all like actually that'd be so flamazing"
Layla: "It'd be super rad"

"Nice girls. I'll come to see a show when you go on tour. We're now taking one last break though, it's time to pick the questions from the listeners. Everyone enjoy this song in the meantime, it's 'Can't Fight' by Sara Daniels."

When 'Can't Fight' by Sara Daniels finishes, Kegan speaks.

Great song but then again we're only playing the best music here at the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. Anyway it's time to ask the questions that you sent us for the girls of Synco.

The first one is from Kevin who asks you "Hello girls, who are your biggest inspirations?"
Alex: "Well my family but if you mean like musicians then Lana Del Rey, Marina and the Diamonds, Alicia Keys, Riot! In The Boulevard a mix of a lot of different musicians really but mainly Lana she's the best"
Layla: "Weekend, Isabel, Jennifer Armstrong, Ed Sheeran, Kato ugh so many"
Naomi: "Stephanie Fierce and Tisha Jackson oh and TLC"
Jamie: "My family"
Nicole "Selena Quintanilla she's the best ever"

And next one is "What's the favourite song of each one of you off your album?" and is from Hilary.
Alex: "Mine is Goodbye (Rest In Peace) mainly because I can relate to it a lot"
Nicole: "Never Really Mattered is mine it was so fun to record and to perform"
Naomi: "Mine is I Knew that one was fun recording and I just like the sound of it I hope we get to perform it live soon"
Layla: "Rock The Night because that song is just so rad and I love it and it was really fun"
Jamie: "Well I'm going to go with our debut single Treat Your Girl Right"

Another question from Elizabeth who says "Hey girls, I love your music so much. My question is: if you could work with anyone at the moment, who would it be and why?"
Layla: "I'd usually say Weekend but there are five of us and five of them so there would be no even parts so I'm going to say Jennifer Armstrong I love her so so so so so much"
Jamie: "Stephanie Fierce I think she'd be fun to work with"
Naomi: "Stephanie Fierce or Tisha Jackson"
Alex: "Lana I would absolutely love to get to work with her one day
Nicole: "Ummmm Isabel she's flamazing"

Ok last question from Luke who asks "What's most played song by each one of your girls at the moment?"
Alex: "Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey"
Layla: "Out Of My Mind by Weekend of course that song is so rad I love it"
Nicole: "#Beautiful is definitely my most played song"
Naomi: "Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke that song is so funny and catchy I love it"
Jamie: "Justin Timberlake Mirrors amazing song"

Ok, and that was it! Thank you girls for coming to the show, which is now over but I'm leaving our listeners with another nice new song. This is 'Proposition' by Yasmine. See you next week for another show!

'Proposition' by Yasmine plays and ends the show.

'Never Been Hurt Before' by Hey Lolita plays and then the show begins.

Hi everyone! You're now listening to the 'Kegan Radio Show' here on BBC Radio 1 and what you just heard was 'Never Been Hurt Before' by Hey Lolita. Today we have the amazing Glamazon as the guest of our show.

Hi Glamazon, how are you doing today?
I'm doing very well today, darling. Thank you for asking!

So you released your latest album 'Riot Grrrl' a month ago and it's got a cool title, what inspired you to write this last album?
I'm so glad you like the title, because it's definitely my favourite out of all the albums that I have, there's a real wild heart deep within the album and the meaning behind it. I think after going through such a tragic event, with what happened to Eric and everything, I wanted this album to show how I've grown as both a woman and an artist since then. The last record Ashes to Ashes was so deep and dark, and this album was really about injecting some fun back into my music, as well as keeping some of those personal lyrics from the last album and continuing to write in that way this time round too. There's a mix of emotions and sounds, which is definitely what I wanted. It just reflects where I am right now.

And the last single released from the album was 'Red Wine', which is another huge hit. Do you get like any pressure when you release a single or an album and make it be as successful as the previous releases?
Thank you! I'm so glad that "Red Wine" was a success, it's a really fun song to me, it's not meant to be taken all that serious. Do I really sip men's blood as red wine in my personal time? I don't know, I don't like to reveal all my deepest, darkest secrets. (laughs) I definitely don't feel pressure though, a lot of people considered my last record a commercial disappointment, and it was coming after my most successful album to date, so who cares? People have their career highs and lows, it's just natural, I just go with whatever comes at me, if it does well, great. If not, oh well, at least I like it!

Are you releasing any more singles from the album or are you going to work on a new one and release some brand new songs?
Yes! "Bad Girl", another fun, uptempo one, will be the next single. I filmed the video to that a while ago, so that should be out soon. It's my best video yet! It's chaotic. I'm not thinking about a new album right now though, I'm going to take my time with this one and release a few more singles.

What kind of sound do you think you would use for a new record?
Umm, that's a good question, but I haven't thought about that one yet. I definitely listen to a lot more, like, hip-hop and rap artists these days, so who knows? Maybe that'll inspire me to have more of that in my next album, that'd be interesting.

Well, speaking of a new album, is there anyone you would like to work with for it?
Yes! I'd love to work on a song with Isaac Lovelock, I'm a big fan of his and I think his lyrics are incredible, he's definitely very underrated in that sense. I feel as artists, we'd connect well on that level, so the result would be killer. I'm so glad I got to work with Pixie on this last album as well, because I adore her, she's so sweet and her music is just out of this world.

And is there any tour in the plans?
I'm going into a meeting next week to discuss the possibilities of that, I'll be letting everyone know though as soon as possible if it's going to happen! It's been a while since I last toured, I definitely miss it a lot.

What songs would you definately perform in a new tour?
I think it's always exciting coming up with a set list because it can be so hit and miss, but that's the fun of it, it's exciting to see the reaction from the crowd. The old hits are definitely a must, you know like "Lady Danger" and "Withering Love", I love those. Then it's important to do the little hidden jems on your older albums that seem to be the fan favourites to keep everyone happy, and some newer stuff, I don't want to give away all my plans... you'll have to see if I go on tour!

Ok, I'm sure I'm gonna come to a show. Anyway we're taking a break now. To all the listeners, remember to send your questions for Glamazon with the hashtag #KeganDawsonShow like always and also listen to 'Heart On Line' by Kourtney!

'Heart On Line' by Kourtney plays and Kegan speaks again when it ends.

So the break is over and you're still listening to the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. We have Glamazon with us here.

So Glamazon, I know you experienced the death of your boyfriend, Eric Quillington. Did that change you in any way or you know...
Oh, definitely. I think if anyone goes through something like that, you're never really the same person afterwards, it completely changes your life and leaves a massive mark on you. Do I feel different now compared to when I was with him? One hundred percent. Back then, I felt like I ruled the world, you know that feeling when you live on such a high? I don't get that these days. I hope to get that back, I miss it.

Are you single right now? Are you looking for someone?
No, never single, forever using men as my play things, never alone. I use a man to sleep with, a man to go shopping with, a man to cuddle with... it just depends on my needs. (laughs) Wouldn't that be the life? Yes, I'm single, forever looking. The problem is, I don't think anyone is brave enough to take me on! I'm seriously psychotic. Ha!

Well, what do you look for in a man then?
He has to be good in bed, isn't that what we all want? You could be the greatest looking man and lacking major... skills in that department. It just wouldn't be enough. A dull personality is very off putting too, I think finding a personality you connect with is a lot harder to find than just a good looking man, so I like personality. I don't want a man who's too high maintenance too, that's my job. Don't outshine me. Don't ask me to watch sports with you, and I won't ask you to come shopping with me. Don't expect me to be your maid, I'm a woman, not a slave. You have to cook, you have to clean. Flowers and chocolates every now and then wouldn't go unappreciated. Aren't I just a walk in the park?

I guess you can find someone like that like everywhere. (Laughs) Anyway what are the plans for the next months?
I don't know, I might do some shopping and burn a church down. (laughs) I'm terrible at this whole popstar thing.

Well, what are you expecting to do in the next few years?
I expect me to be just as messed up as ever, after coming out of multiple bad relationships and having each one of their skulls stored in my basement! A girl can dream, can she not? But really, I just want to continue doing this, writing is like therapy to me, I think it keeps me semi-sane.

That's good. We're going to take one last break now though. Everyone listening should enjoy this song in the meantime!

'Bless Me' by Stephanie Fierce plays and then Kegan speaks again.

Nice! That was 'Bless Me' by Stephanie Fierce but you are now back to the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. Glamazon is still here and it's to ask her the questions YOU sent.

And the first one is from Sarah who says "Hello Glamazon, I loved your series 'Lethal Love'. Are you going to do more of that?"
Unfortunately not, sweetheart. You can watch my short film Show Me Your Heart though whenever you're feeling bored! It's very similar to Lethal Love, but it's like, on steroids.

Next one is "What's your favourite hobby?" by Tim.
I've gotten into this bad habit of making my exes into Sims and punishing them by locking them in a room with no access to food. (evil laugh) I sound so terrible right now! Come on, don't we all do it with people we dislike in life? No? Just me then, oh dear.

Uhm, my last boyfriend used to play The Sims, I hope he didn't listen that. (Laughs). Anyway the third question is from Emma who asks you "What's your favourite singles out of all the ones you released?"
"Withering Love", the lyrics are tragically beautiful.

And the last one is asked by Jennifer. She asks "Hello, what is your most played song at the moment?"
I really like that new Reported Failure album, so anything on that really, it's been on repeat. Fabulous stuff!

Ok! Thanks to Glamazon for coming to the show. We have come to the end this week too, but we'll be back next one again! Now I also think I'm going to leave you with just a song from Glamazon. Here's for you, 'Red Wine'!

'Red Wine' by Glamazon plays and ends the show.

'Let's Go Home' by Isaac Lovelock plays and the show begins.

Hi everyone! It's the 'Kegan Radio Show' on BBC Radio 1 and what you just heard was 'Let's Go Home' by Isaac Lovelock. Our guest today is the legend Tisha Jackson.

Hey Tisha, how are you?
Tisha: Hello! I am well. How are you?

I'm good, I'm good, but let's talk about you. Your latest album has been a huge success worldwide, how do you feel about it?
Tisha: I am just at a place where I am letting my music speak for itself. You know? I didn’t do that much promo for this album besides the music videos and the tour to support the record because I just wanted my music to speak for itself. I feel like this album is a cohesive body of work, and I am honored to have my fans receive it so well. And I hope to continue on with this era, I don’t want it to end anytime soon. This album fucking rocks.

And you've released quite a lot of albums now being around for some time. Is a Greatest Hits in the plans?
Tisha: [Covers her face with her hands] Oh no! Don’t say that! Listen I am on album number seven and I am twenty three years old. I will not be releasing a Greatest Hits album anytime soon. [Tisha laughs] I take offence to that Kegan.

(Laughs) Sorry about that. Anyway talking about 'The Highway To Redemption' again, what inspired you to write this album? Because I know you wrote it and produced it all by yourself.
Tisha: You know, many of my albums, I write about things regarding my past, or what I hope tomorrow, the future to be. But going into the studio with this album I went in with a stripped mind. I wanted to write about everything that was happening to me then, while I was recording, while I was writing. So everything you hear on this album is fresh, you know? I wanted it to be raw and this album is about where I am now.

And 'Good Lovin' is the new single off this album. Why this choice?
Tisha: It’s a fan favorite. The first three singles off the album were all my choices. My label, Hits Factory Productions, Studio 60 and Tric-Jam were very lenient, trustworthy, and very understanding when it came for me to release the singles off the album. I had a lot of creative freedom recording and producing the record and they allowed me to release what I want. So I decided to do Good Lovin’ for the summer because it is a summer time song, the beat, its real care free, easy breezy, but in your face, and the fans wanted it. Plus we have Atlas and Chloe on it, love them. Had to release it.

And are you gonna release another song from the latest album or a whole new song?
Tisha: I plan on releasing at least ten to twelve single from this album. No fucking joke.

That's a lot! Anyway we're taking a break now. To our listeneres, send your questions to Tisha with the hashtag #KeganDawsonShow and also listen to this new song by Reported Failure, 'Land And Sea'!

'Land And Sea' by Tisha Jackson plays and Kegan speaks once it ends.

So welcome back to the 'Kegan Dawson Show' on BBC Radio 1. Tisha Jackson is with us today.

And so Tisha, you're currently touring on 'The Highway To Redemption World Tour', how is it going?
Tisha: The tour is go amazing! I’ve been getting a lot of great reviews for my live shows, so I am excited. You know, touring is hectic, and my last tour I was so warned down by the end. But I have come to the realization that this is what I was put on Earth to do. I love performing, I love performing for my fans. I love putting on an spectacle every night. And that is what this tour is about. It’s a spectacle. I am a showgirl, so you know the deal. And we have Abie Lena as a special guest. She opens the show for me. So it’s a great way for our fans to connect.

I know it's going to last until the end of this year so it must be hard work for you.
Tisha: Yes. Well actually we are announcing more dates sometime in August. I should be touring well into 2014 so… I have to hit up Australia, Canada, and I will probably finish off states side. So we should be well at over one hundred shows by the end of the tour. I am not ready for it to end.

I think I need to come see a show. Anyway so let's talk about love now. You've had a relationship with Dominic Brown, which ended up in quite some drama and I also had him here on the show talking about it, but how do you feel about it?
Tisha: Let’s talk about love [Tisha sings]. I wish him well.

Ok ok. I actually know you're dating the rapper Atlas now. How is it?
Tisha: It’s cool. He’s a laid back kind of guy. And I am all loud and in your face. He calms me down. Very smart man, very sweet.

And what about the plans once the tour ends? So I mean for the 2014.
Tisha: Hopefully another album. I want to release another album next year. I just have to get around to beginning the writing process and recording it. So hopefully that. I have a coming out this year. A film I wrote the screenplay on and its directed by my favorite director, Paul Hunter. It’s coming out this Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving 2013. It’s a film adaptation of ‘Harlem 1945’ the track on my album. It’s an action film. The preview should be hitting the net before the end of summer.

That sounds cool, but what about further in time? Is there anything you'd like to achieve?
Tisha: Ummmm, that’s a good question. I don’t know. Career wise I am very happy. I might get married and have some kids soon. I don’t know! [Tisha laughs jokingly]

(Laughs) Nice, nice. I hope you do. Anyway we're taking one last break to pick the questions sent from the listeners and speaking of Atlas, everyone enjoy his new song 'The Next Great Hip Hop Song'.

'The Next Great Hip Hop Song' by Atlas plays and once it ends, Kegan speaks.

And so we're back! Let's ask Tisha your questions now.

Ok, so the first one is from Jacob who says "Hey Tisha, you're amazing! Is there any artist you'd still like to work with?
Tisha: As of now, probably Mariah Carey, because as you know, I love her! She’s my favorite singer of all time, you know, the greatest voice of todays generation, she’s a gem. I would love to produce some stuff for she and Janet Jackson, who is my personal inspiration as a performer. And I don’t know, maybe another Stephanie Fierce collaboration.

Next one asks "What's your favourite song from your album 'The Highway To Redemption'?" and it's from Jade.
Tisha: Oh my God! That is kind of hard, I love them all so much you know? Okay, one of my all time favorites would have to be the title track, ‘The Highway To Redemption’ the song. I choose that song because I wrote that song as a personal love letter to my family and friends, the ones who have been with me since day one, through all the ups and the downs, and the all arounds. ‘Forever & Always’ simply because that song was my life once upon a time. I lived the lyrics of that song. ‘Teenagers Forever’ is another one, I love how mellow it is, you can do ALMOST ANYTHING to that song. And ‘Firecracker’ of course because that’s what I am.

Ok, Angie asks you "What's the funniest thing a fan wanted you to sign?"
Tisha: I’ve signed boobs before. And a guy asked me to sign his dick but my security laid him out.

That was probably an excuse he was using for something else. (Laughs) Anyway the last question is from Barbara who tells you "Hello Tisha, what's your most played song at the moment?"
Tisha: Right now, from myself, my entire album [Tisha laughs] but I love ‘Rich As Fuck’ by Lil Wayne, Jay-Z’s entire album, [Magna Carta Holy Grail] and his new song ‘Holy Grail’ with Justin Timeberlake, and He and Bey’s song, ‘On The Run’ current favs right now.

Ok, that was it! Thanks Tisha for coming here to the show. I'm now leaving our listeners with just your new single, 'Good Lovin'. Enjoy Tisha's new song everyone!

'Good Lovin' by Tisha Jackson featuring Atlas and Chloe plays and ends the show.
