Years have gone by and the past has now become a blur. Drew could no longer remember where the relationship between him and Tisha had went wrong. Still, the regret from it all clouded his mind more than usual. Sure, he had a boyfriend who loved him but Drew couldn't help but think about what life would be like if he had made it work with Tisha. He had tried to open communication back up between the two of them again but it had gone nowhere. This time, he was determined to keep Tisha's attention for longer than a week. He grabbed his phone and opened their messages.

"Sup, Ti.. You've been on my mind like crazy. I know you don't want to hear it but I miss you. Fr. Call me?"

When Tisha facetimes him, Drew's heart begins to race a little. He sits up and clears his throat right before answering the phone.

"Hey, ma." He takes a good look at her and then grins. "I ain't think you'd give me the time of day but I'm happy you did."

”Shiiit, just some studio time.”

Drew had to think of a lie quick and it was obvious. Everybody knew he wasn’t working on no damn music.

“You still out there? Maybe I could come see you...only if that’s cool with your boy though. No disrespect to him.”

He wasn’t entirely sure if Tisha and Younghood were still together but this was his way of trying to find out.

A big smile spread on Drew’s face. “Of course. It’s been too long.” As always Drew did his best to play it cool but he was too happy not to. After so many years of Tisha never wanting to see Drew again, it felt good to hear that her heart has changed. The man she knew before was indecisive and weak but he had hoped to show her the new him. Even if it was only as friends.

”That sounds dope, I just know the album is gonna be great. But yeah, I’m touching down this Friday so it’ll work out ace. You know me, I don’t want no drama. Right now I’m in Manhattan, I’ve been living here for a minute now.”
