The crowd cheer as the hauntingly beautiful song fills the open stadium....

A spotlight hits center stage and JR takes the mic: "Good evening SAN DIEGO!!!!!!!!!

Hey all!
We would just like to update you on what is going on with us. As you all know we are currently on world tour. We have a 3 day break then we hit Colorado and work our way south by south east! So far touring has been a blast, like usual! We have sold out all the stadiums we have jammed at, which is awesome! This world tour marks our 5th world tour and it is a very unique one. Before we really just played our hits mixed in with a couple of hidden nuggets from our vaults but this tour we completely cracked open our deep tracks and let loose our rare/ never be for song live tunes. We couldn't believe your reaction! Playing a song like Galaxy Eyes was met with more enthusm then we anticipated. So this tour will be jammed back full of our solo singles/deep tracks from our albums.

Our schedule for this world tour is spread out so we can have more time to record some tracks. That is right, we, on our wonderful time off between shows, have been recording some tunes for you! Working with Enoch has unleashed a creative impulse and a easier way to just jam and record. We will be releasing another album in the future. Our plan is to release a double album with one totally new tracks and one with live tracks. Should be fun!

We have discussed with each other that we would like to pursue new angle in our music adventure. We are going to stray away from our classic rock sound and approach a new modern rock/pop sound that will appeal to the masses. More updates soon folks.

Okay. So if you take Kanye Wests song Heartache, mix that with Kings Of Leons Sex On Fire, and shake it up with a bit of owl city and pour that into a glass of The Bards, you will get our new sound on our upcoming album!

We are known for doing classic rock stuff. But we have done a heavy metal album, a synth pop album, blues album, and some psychedelic albums. We felt that we have tackled everything that we wanted to but yet we felt we haven't. So we discussed what can we do that we haven't done before. The answer hit us harder then a brick to the face. We haven't really created music that appeals to all music lovers. I mean we did our ALLIES set but that wasn't all us. We worked with 20 fantastic artist from all sorts of backgrounds. We wanted to do something new, so we came up with doing a rock/pop album that we think will be our Magnum Opus.

We will have driving mixed beats, mixed with awesome guitar/drum/synth work, backed by catchy pop music lyrics that will have everybody singing in unison! We are really excited to pursue this album because of it's scale and different side of music that we haven't explored. We like to test ourselves and we hope that we pass, for you!!

11/26/10 UPDATE

Dear friends,
Our health has gotten in the way of performing. We are sadden to announce that our WORLD TOUR and upcoming album WILL be but on hold INDEFINITELY. Yesterday Moe Z our bassist had began to feel ill. Today is is in the emergency fighting an unknown sickness. We cannot pursue any creative elements without the entire authority of the band. Apart from canceling the album and tour, we will NOT be releasing the anticipated two disc LIVE album.

Being 60 years old and living the reckless life we did is catching up with us. One of the reasons why we released a set of albums as fast as we did is because of our health set backs. Until today they have been kept a secret. But today I am here to tell you that, I, JR Rhythm, have lung cancer. My treatment has slowly put a stopper to it but of recent it has slowly begun to kick my ass. I do not feel that it is fatal but that is just my thinking.

You are fans have been a wonderful bunch of Bardians! We are always and forever grateful for the success YOU brought us. Without you, we would have sunk years ago. It's you who inspired our TBA upcoming album. We want to treat you fans with the music you want to hear from us. Through the years we challenged the foundation of music by fusing our sound with the likes of pop/heavy metal/folk/blues. All in all, all I want to say is that we love you guys but a time of rest is needed in an hour of weariness.

Thank You

The Bards,
JR Rhythm, Moe Z & D.D

The Bards bassist Moe Z left the hospital early this morning and took a flight to New York to spend time with his family. Reports across the music industry have said that the other two remain musicians have parted ways.

Singer/guitarist JR Rhythm was spotted back in his sprawling LA home. Last today he was spotted soaking up some rays at the beach, when approached by a reported that asked him about the status of The Bards, JR replied, "It's been discussed. We have universally decided to get some much needed rest. I think we deserve that."

And they do, in my opinion. The band has released over 4 albums in the last five years(not real time), working like madmen in a circus. So with the rock stars out of action, what does this mean for any projects set in motion?

JR says: " Well we have worked with some people, meaning we collabed with them. So they will release whatever they like, whenever."

I wonder what this could be? Some speculate that it will be a single or possibly a charity album.

Not The First "Time Off"
The Bards have taken time off before. During their early years recording the 4 disc Beyond The Inner Cosmic Fantasy, the band took a year off to cool down from their drug infused lifestyle. And immediatley after the release of Cosmic Fantasy, the band took a massive two year break, in which AutoPlane & The Hearts Bizarre debuted their only album. Then in their later years they took a year brake when singer Marc Rolan ventured to the blues with Cold Iron Band. And now we have this time off period. Whatever the real problem is we hope that it's not serious.

HELLO FRIENDS!
We have some amazing news for you! We will be continuing our world tour again!!!
Moe Z has had a full recovery and we will begin to assemble the troops to continue our world tour!
We will be rearranging our world tour schedule and this time we will be heading to the UK/Europe leg
of our tour! Tickets will be.....only......15 bucks a pop! Why? Cause we love you guys!

In other news we are seriously jolted by excitement with our 21st album. We have been laying down tracks,
whenever we get the chance. Now with Moe Z back in action we will start laying down some more! This album
will still be that rock/pop/alt rock sound we talked about! Gonna be awesome!

And when can you expect this album? Lets just say we will be releasing it December 24th on Christmas day!
We realize we will compete with the legendary band, The Rockers, but we will put our war helmets on and
we will grit our teeth as we battle against their 14th studio album! May the best album win! But seriously we love you guys!

Album news COMING VERY SOON! (We typically announce title when we are half way down recording)

The Bards have up-ed the stakes for the Christmas eve album war with The Rockers! The Bards announced today that if they lose the Album War they will indeed retire! "We want to show the people that we are serious about this. We want to be the best in what we do, so if we lose, we will acknowledge that we no longer have a place in the music industry as a band. " The Bards

Now this poses a very interesting situation. The Bards had set a sort of battle plan for their future. Firstly they have a four album contract with Junction Records. Allies II being the first. The band announced that they would release a two disc album featuring both live and new tracks. So with this war the Bards might
have to retire into the sunset unwillingly. Leaving there fans in the cold.

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived two musicians by the name of Kanye West and 50 Cent. The two organized a scheme; whoever lost the 'album war' would have to retire from the music industry. When the moment of truth finally came, Kanye bested the evil 50 Cent. Neither of them retired.

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."
