Music Into... is the debut album from american singer/songwriter/producer Alec Cole following his highly successful EP "Just Me" "Into..." was released December 18th 2015 under his own label Safe Haven Records the lead single from the album "Fucked Up" was released November 1st of 2015 it peaked at #3 on the top 20 airplay charts and #2 on the pop airplay charts it also peaked at #2 on the hot digital charts the singer then released his follow up single "Too Cool To Care" exactly a month later on December 1st of 2015 which gave the singer his first #1 debuting and peaking at #1 on the top 20 airplay charts and #3 on the pop airplay charts it also peaked at #2 on the hot digital airplay charts and was also given a fairly positive review from popular critic/blogger/fashion designer/model Honor Wynter who praised the production and Alec's vocals however she also stated that it had fallen a bit short lyrically and gave the track a 3/5 Alec began recording songs for the album immediately after the release of his debut EP "Just Me" which was released in April of 2015 the EP was praised by critics and fellow artists Alec however has stated that after the release he was slightly unhappy with the music he had released he had then started working on new music in secret while completely disappearing off the face of the earth he did however release Restraints as a single a few months later but once again disappeared before the news of him and Scott opening up a label together came out which was followed by two single releases Alec then took to Instagram to announce a few of the tracks from the album which holds nine different tracks on the standard edition and three more on the deluxe edition bringing it to a total of twelve tracks on the deluxe edition Alec brings us an entirely new sound from his debut EP on this album leaving behind the acoustic strings for a more dream like pop sound breaking the album down into three different sections each containing three different songs the first section of the album "Into: The Wild" brings us a more upbeat fun sound as the topics range from adventure, exploration and confusion between the lines lust and love with the tracks "The Wild", "We Do", And "Wildfire" following "Into: The Wild" we get the next section "Into: The Dive" which goes deeper into the relationship it comes after the exploration and adventure of the wild bringing a more mellow laid back sound to it with topics ranging from wanting more out of a relationship, to finally taking the dive, and finally to the moment where things begin to fall apart containing tracks like "Waves", "Drown", and "You" and finally following "Into: The Dive" we close out the album with "Into: The Storm" giving us three emotional songs with darker sounds the topics range from heartbreak, relapse and finally moving on with tracks like "Fucked Up", "Fix Myself (ft. BANKS)", and "Too Cool To Care" which closes out the standard edition of the album the deluxe edition contains three more songs which range from songs about relationships to Alec's state of mind after releasing his debut EP and gearing up to debut a new sound the track titles are "Lion", "Love to Hate", and "Music" Artist Alec Cole Title INTO... Or is it something more I'm hiding? singer/songwriter/producer Alec Cole's debut album "INTO..." the song was written and produced by Alec Cole and Airemese Smith also known as Coke from the popular duo Rum & Coke the song follows "Wildfire" and continues on after realizing his feelings for the person the song is about are true and are more than just lust Alec sings about wanting to tell his companion but struggles to let her know it shows the progression of the relationship within the song written by Cole and Smith from "hooking up" to staying over to finally becoming something more "Waves" leads us into the dive with excellent dreamy lighter synths throughout the track pulling us in followed by Alec's equally dreamy vocals keeping us in this song proves to already be a strong introduction for "INTO: The Dive" the lyrics despite not being groundbreaking are rather different as Alec sings about wanting more out of a hook up and gradually getting more and though it might not be incredible it definitely is rather sweet and finally we get a song that is close to being all around with Alec's versatile singing style the incredible yet simple production the only thing is the lyrics could have possibly flowed the risk that the person comes with because it's how he wants it "Drown" continues on from "Waves" and once again brings us beautiful dreamy production along with lyrics to match Alec also manages to give a vocal delivery that flows along perfectly with the sweet and dreamlike production and lyrics finally delivering on all three of the main factors "Drown" might be one of the best songs on the album especially the bridge which Alec gets a chance to show off his skills in production as he builds the song with the production and with his vocals which are layered all over the song with great production great lyrics and vocals that flow perfectly this could end up being the most popular song on the album and maybe even the next single On the deep side of your eyes Warning signs but this is singer/songwriter/producer Alec Cole's debut album "INTO..." and the final track from "INTO: The Dive" the track was once again written and produced by Alec Cole by himself the song proves Alec's statements in "Drown" to be right as the person in the relationship seems to have done something to hurt Alec however Alec being in love cannot seem to let go and decides not to believe everything he knows is true in hopes that he can stay with his partner however at the end of the song it's clear that she has left him "You" brings an end to into the dive this time Alec shows a slightly darker side to with the production which is something we've come to know from Alec given his last two singles however this track somehow also maintains a hint of that dreamlike sound from the previous two tracks he also gives us one of the best vocal deliveries we've heard from him on the album yet as he shows a new level of emotion in his vocal sounding almost broken he also gives lyrics that are equally heartbreaking to his vocal performance giving us a minute to really take in the heartbreak that this young 17 year old boy has already experienced at his age when I first heard the song I thought it was one of the weaker tracks however after giving it another listen I am prepared to say this is possibly the best song on the album due to the vocal delivery alone Calm waters were cool debut album "INTO..." and was also the lead single chosen for the album the track was written by Alec Cole and produced by the team of Cole and Grey once again the track continues on from "You" however rather than being showing how he is hurt in this song Alec let's out his frustrations with the person being angry that they're able to move on from the relationship so fast "Fucked Up" starts up our journey into the storm this one will probably be a more familiar one as it's the lead single from the album and with good reason despite the lyrics not being "radio friendly" Alec and Brandon manage to bring a darker and slightly emotional sound to this track with the production Alec also manages to give an equally dark yet emotional vocal delivery also sounding angry in certain parts his vocal delivery makes it clear that this is yet another personal song to him the lyrics are also done nicely though some parts may seem slightly repetitive however it's not too much to make the song bad and even so the production of the track would probably save it if it did Feel confused In a daze With this sudden change watched it shine Watched it fade Watched it be replaced Half my whole It old American singer/songwriter/producer Alec Cole's debut album "INTO..." the song features up-and-coming singer/songwriter/producer BANKS and was co-written and co-produced by him along with Alec the song speaks about trying to move on from the relationship however it also shows the side that still wants to stay in love Alec portrays the side that wants to move on while BANKS portrays the side that can't seem to do so "Fix Myself" continues our journey through the storm as it brings the section and album (standard edition) close to an end Alec and Brandon bring us another emotional track that you're bound to relate to with smooth production from the boys and lyrics that'll probably hit close to home if you've ever tried to move on from a bad breakup along with a great vocal delivery from both boys whose voices seem to go together rather well despite being pretty different from one another it's the chemistry that the two have in the song that not enough collaborations bring to the table that really makes the song along with the interesting instrumental breaks though the lyrics are relatable there are a few iffy moments however despite those moments I do believe this song has all the makings for another successful single Heart is cold but it's fitting I was caught in your rain May have almost lost me breath May have almost felt regret Infected in the beginning Lost myself John, I believe this is your best album lyrically and in terms of style and flow! I can tell that you carefully planned out what was going where and how that would transition with each of the sections of the album and it's come across as unique, neat and quite frankly...brilliant :P I love the growth that Alec has shown over this year and people didn't see him coming. He delivered a very strong album that I fear might go underrated cause people don't pay much attention sometimes but I'm sure people can see the effort. Excellent work and I can't wait to see what Alec does next year!

OOC: Wow thank you so much that actually really means a lot to me I really did want to test myself a bit more lyrically tbh when I first started writing this album I was writing my own lyrics but then I decided instead of wasting this sudden spark of inspiration on myself why not waste it on one of my TRSG characters :P so I ended up just coming back and writing up lyrics tbh Troye Sivan actually inspired all of this the sound change and eveything and I know it's probably very obvious but yeah I heard his lyrics and amazing production and decided to try to write a bit better and I'm glad you think that I did lol and yeah maybe it will go a bit under the radar but still I did have a lot of fun writing this up and making the little artwork things for each song this album was actually a lot funner to do than most of my other ones so really it's whatever lol thank you for checking it out and I'm really glad you liked it :)

Oh yeah, it's because this album has legit been on repeat all day long. I love every track and people need to bow to you prince of Alternative pop, because that's what you are. I already bought tickets for one of your American shows, I can't wait to experience every synth vibrating through my body. Keep on doing what you're doing because I'm going to keep on buying, it can be you saying the ABC's over a cheap synth with cheesy drums and I would still buy it.

Alec: Wow thank you Chaelin it's incredible to hear that someone listened to my album for a whole day haha and wow thanks for that title but I think it's saying a bit much there are plenty of incredible guys in the genre at the moment thank you though it means a lot and I can't wait to see you there hopefully you'll enjoy the show and I'll keep that idea stored away for the next time I hit writers block lol thanks again :)
