The first ever Mark Talley blog post here...I think I'm gonna call it Talley-ho!! haha, so I just got back from holiday today, and the first thing I get thrust under my nose is the final copies of the first two album artowrks for the first two ersions of the new album, sexy as all fuck! BLOOD OF WECZ LAST ALBUM SHOCKER



It is with a very heavy heart that we tonight at BloodofWecz.com have to make the announcement that we have all feared for years. The bands 15th studio album MEMORIES OF ATHEISM PAST will indeed be the last ever release by the band.

This is not due to the fact that many had speculated that Wecz had grown tired of the stage, or the fame, but because a horrific set of unforeseen circumstances, which will become clear to you all later this evening. The band wish everyone well, and urge fans to brace themselves for the announcement later tonight.

Please support Blood of Wecz one last time, and buy the final album when it is released this tomorrow...the artworks for the two slightly different versions are shown below.

The End Of The Era

Well guys, Wecz fans, media, people who mistakenly landed here, I guess you all got the press release last night on the website that stated we are done. That's right, 15 albums in, Blood Of Wecz are finished. I'm told we got a lot of angry emails to the website last night from fans, but that's cool, because we didn't tell you why, and that's why I've taken this time out today, to let you know what's going on.

The website dudes offered to do this, Hugh Marvin offered to do it, and Mark offered to do it, but ultimately, it should be me who who delivers the news. But how? How do you type what I'm about to write? Especially when I scarcely believe it can be true at all.

Well, I guess I just have to tell you all. I'm currently in Philedelphia in the USA. As you all know, we had been on vacation for a couple of months before the album release and tour, and we all went individually, sometimes you just need a break from each other you know? Anyway, when I got back last week, and after a bit of a worry about another dude, I got a phonecall to come out here, as one of the guys had been involved in an incident.

Oh God, how do you even say this. I came out here, and...well, it is with the deepest sorrow, pain, anguish, horror, and sadness, that I have to report that I was the one who had to identify the body of our lead singer Scott H. That's right...ok, I'm just gonna type it...15 minutes I've sat here, unable to bring myself to type these next words, because I haven't said them yet, I haven't admitted the fact...ok...Scott H is dead. Scott was brutally murdered by a gunman on top of a derelict building in Philly. The guy also shot a kid and then ran like the coward he is. Scott's gone...the guy who was Blood of Wecz...he's just...gone...

I can't believe it, and I'm sorry that you all had to hear it, or read it, but it's the truth here and you had to know. Needless to say Blood Of Wecz cannot be without Scott, and we thank you for everything, please remember, and keep Scott in your hearts.

What can I fucking say? "Sorry for your loss", "He will be missed", "Deepest sympathies" .... none of the clichés cover what the band and Scott's family and friends must be going through right now. All I can say is - it was an honour to work with him even though it was on total cheese, and erm .... rest in pieces I guess.

Jason: This man was not only a mastermind of metal music, he was one of the greatest people I knew. A true influence to, not only me and the band, but to heavy metal as a whole and pleasure to have around. This news has upset me and the rest of Mind deeply and we will keep our experiences with Scott deep in our hearts. I will not rest until the vile scum that killed him is hunted down. Rest in peace, brother.

In behalf of the band, I would like to thank you guys for being such a great inspiration to us. We would never forget those times that we spent with one of the most legendary bands in the industry, especially the Battle of the Bands, it was a privilege to have battled you guys. And we would like to pay our respect to Scott H., he was Blood of Wecz and I know you guys can never go on without him but we all know he is in a way better place and let's just wish him the best.

On behalf of myself and Sunset Limited, I would like to send my deepest condolenses out to Scott's family and friends. Although I never personally met Scott, he has alway's been a big inspiration and influence on us and how we've grown as a band. And although Blood of Wecz breaking up will leave be a massive blow to the music industry, we and everyone else understands that it would be impossible to keep a band going that has lost its foundation. We would like to wish the rest of the band extremely good luck with your futures, whether they are in the music industry or not, and our deepest thoughts and condolenses to Scott's family.

Yeah...hi, this website is still alive! We have an announcement to make here tonight....we're coming back.

It's been six long months now since we lost Scott H to murder in the USA, and the guys have taken a break, and had a long time to think. Also, there's another reason...I think I'll tell you all at a later date...some shit just needs verified first.

But, we have been on the DL, getting ready to come back. We have recruited a new guy to come in and try to fill in for what Scott was doing. Announcement on that front to come later tonight perhaps.

Expect a mini tour vvv soon, and then we will hit the studio for the 16th time!
