The Voyd decided to release their second acoustic single, "Hello Hurricane" today. After long debate especially since all the drama surrounding bassist Andrew, they decided that this would be the best way their fans can cope with this.

Our fans have become restless on our behaves for not releasing our 'ground breaking album' as Andrew likes to say it. We have been trying to perfect it as much as possible and we have even decided to push our release date further than expected. The album is starting to becoming something like 'Chinese Democracy'. So to hold our fans back a little bit longer, we have decided that this acoustic version of our hit single is needed.-Zack McCann

The second single has hit well on the charts; snagging their first top 10 release in the United States.

Here are the charts:
UK-18
USA-7
Canada-63
Australia-41
South America-106
Asia-64
Europe-146
World-57

After a long questions of where The Voyd has gone to with the sudden disapearance, the band is back with a new album 'The Blueprint Chronicles'.

Quote:
We were planning a huge co-headline tour with many great bands lined up but we felt like we needed to take a step back from the industry because our heart at the the time did not feel right. We just completed our best album to date with a lot of great reviews but the music wasn't being pushed the way we wanted to. It was a christian album but it sounded a lot like our second album which is not how we want to be. As a band you must evolve with different sounds as well as each other to make things exciting for our fans and ourselves. So that is why we decided to experiment and try something new before we started touring again.-Brandon Carter

The album features more of a dark sound compared to their other albums. Its deep sounds and hard melodies are pushing their 'go-easy lyrics' to showing more of pain and anguish.

Quote:
We wanted to reflect what issues that our listeners face every day. We want them to listen to this and be able to relate to it. Even if one person can relate, we did our job as a band.-Andrew Reed

The tracklisting includes:
1-The Sandman
2-Time Is Running Out
3-Bed Of Shadows
4-Blueprint Destruction
5-Awakening
6-Gorilla Warfare
7-Teacup Nightmare
8-Welcome To Existance
9-Marching To War
10-The Undeveloped Story

With all the news swirling around concerning Zach McCann, The Voyd has decided to go ahead and release the new single 'Teacup Nightmare' to the airwaves. The song has been considered one of the darkest songs on their album which has pushed through some controversy with critics.

Quote:
New York times: Teacup Nightmare is not what we are used to hearing from The Voyd...The somewhat gothic-like lyrics are a weird change from the band and the album.

Quote:
Rolling Stone Magazine: It almost sounds someone was either drunk and/or depressed when they wrote this.

Frontman Andrew Haynes commented on the reviews by the critics
Quote:
The reason why we wanted to go with this song as our single was that it seems real to us and the fans. Everyone can listen to the lyrics and see themselves in it. I mean to be honest, it really isn't that dark. I guess it is up to the listeners to be the judge.

The first lines of the song are being posted as well

Quote:
Torn in every direction
Falling apart
I don't even know
Where to start
I tried to bond,
Tried to connect
But all attempts
Have failed
I'm not sure
If it is me
Or if it's you...

Chorus:I'm stuck into a Teacup Nightmare
Don't know were to go
I tried to climb myself out
but the demons keep pushing me through

Zach McCann releases his statement concerning his D.U.I. in 30 minutes. Stay tuned!

In almost a dissapointment, the new single, Teacup Nightmare, finished in 29th in the world single charts.

Quote:
Andrew Haynes:This sort of thing was kinda predictable thing to us. The song has been released for almost a year now and it has been a somewhat conterversial song from the critics so we can't complain. We have recorded some new stuff here lately, especially considering our always outspoken lead guitarist getting charged with a D.U.I. and most likely facing jail time. We have enough good stuff to release a new album very soon and I believe our fans will be blown away with the stuff we have come up with.

Here is the final standings on Teacup Nightmare:

UK:47
USA:31
Canada:34
Aus & NZ:20
South America:31
Asia:33
Europe:29
World:29

When it rains, it pours. After the controversy swirling around Zach McCann and the band refusing to touring all the time, V-Records have decided to drop The Voyd from their record label.

“I honestly thought we had a good relationship with them [V-Records]. They always seemed supportive of our works but I guess they weren’t exactly what they wanted. I know they were very frustrated with us deciding to promote our music as we please and I guess with Zach’s arrest caused them to break their last straw…We do want to thank V-Records for what they have done and launching our career. They have allowed us to release 5 albums and one released album (Prodigy) under their name. Without them, we wouldn’t be here today.”

V-Records is planning on releasing a greatest hits album with The Voyd very soon. It will be kind of a final farewell between the label and the band.

The track list goes as follows

1. Marching To War
2. Sudden Calling
3. A Beautiful Lie
4. Blueprint Destruction
5. Wasteful Pleasures
6. Break Me Down feat. Johnny Johnson and Jack Jameson of Savior
7. The Undeveloped Story
8. Hello Hurricane
9. Hope is Coming
10. Learning To Breathe

It seems like ages since one of the biggest band's in the world, The Voyd, has come out with new music. However the wait is almost gone! Starting tomorrow, stores worldwide will be selling The Voyd's first Christmas album: Sounds Of Christmas.

Quote:
It is really exciting to release new music for a change. We seem to be that kind of band who recieves hype when we have an album coming out. Yet after our tour for the album we take a step away from the spotlight and focus on ourselves and our music. Hopefully our fans will respond well with what we have.

The Voyd also has plans of releasing their new original album in a few short weeks. The main writer of the band's music, Brandon Carter, spoke up about their next album.

Quote:
Our sixth studio album is seriously going to be the best one yet. We are making it kind of a sequel to our album, The Blueprint Chronicles. Foundation will show how far our sound has matured and changed causing a great deal of more people to enjoy it. I am so proud of these songs and I know they will blow away anything the music industry has ever seen.

The Voyd's sixth studio album will drop in stores worldwide on January 1st.
