Those Meddling Kids release their second major album on their small independent label. Not as heavily distorted and filled with punk rock reverb as their previous release. This album seems to be a bit more polished and heavily explores the folk punk genre by throwing strains of country, blues, as well as bluegrass, and celtic in a mashup of different selections all under the direction of folk icon Jack Frost. There are also several full on breakdown instrumental jam pieces in the album as well. Through the magic of editing if you play the tracks together in succession they artfully lead into one other for an amazing masterpiece of unique country, bluegrass, and celtic sound all given extra flavor with the punk rock edge thrown in. We haven't been able to sample the album in its entirety due to certain constraints but a review will be up as soon as possible. Though Johnny did have to time to issue a statment on the album.

"I really feel that having Jack Frost produce our entire album was a great move. He was awesome to work in the studio with and really gave our album the sound we were aiming for. The song Mountain Creek Jam was originally just a sound check dittie that evolved into something absolutely incredible. We had Jack sit on it with us and we really had a blast recording it. It's definitely my favorite song on the album. Jack was a real pleasure to work with and we look forward to possibly working or touring with him in the future. There just isn't enough I can say about how he helped this record reach its full potential and the sound that we had set out for. He nailed everything right out of the gate with us and we really put together a great album with him leading us. As for not being signed, we'd love to sign with a major label, but we're comfortable enough here with the label we began with Flying Boxcar Records."

Mr. Frost hasn't been able to be reached yet for comment on his thoughts on producing TMK's newest album. But we're very anxious to here his thoughts on this innovative up and coming punk rock tour de force. There's also rumors that Johnny and Nicole Woods from Suburban Sunrise are seeing each other. This is said because they were spotted together at the Music Hall of Fame Awards together. Johnny was quoted as saying they were currently just friends and he feels she's a bit young for him. Though he may pursue a relationship with her later.

"As a 25 year old man I'm not sure I feel comfortable going out with a 17 year old. Even if she is close to 18, it was a casual date and nothing happened. I'm not gonna pull a Jerry Lee Lewis here or anything. But age is just a number, so I still feel that once she's 18 a relationship is possible. But for the moment I'm really not taking it any where. It was a one time thing and I needed a date. She took my offer so I said what the hell you know?"

Stacey Walton: Nicole is sexy. Also I'm gonna look out for your record.
