PART 2 - HALFWAY-POINT

1. Project; Prometheus - Dividing Divinity
“Two of the great musical minds of recent time are set to come together on this mouth-watering prospect, Dividing Divinity. Created by messrs Quillington and Smith, there is a lot of expectations on this album and rarely is a debut album more anticipated, the fact that the genius behind both Infinite and Mind have came together for this is the clear reason why this is number 1. And what with confusion and bewilderment regarding Jason Smith’s current condition, Let’s hope they can deliver.”

2. Brittany Knox - Title TBC
“This is one of the most anticipated albums of recent times and it’s a huge amount of pressure on Brittany Knox but she seems to be able to cope with it and the announcement of her first single from the record titled Desert Paradise just seems to have wet the appetite even more. We have confirmation that her album will have an all-star cast with people like Jason Smith, Danny Allen, Jake Wilson, Brandon Caulfield and many more but the focus will definitely remain on Brittany Knox.”

3. Holiday For Two - This Will All Make Perfect Sense Someday
“Any project that Mr. Hernandez decides to dip his toes into will always come under huge interest, his personality and presence within the music industry means that any decision, big or small will be watched with huge interest, even the smallest things will be blown up to huge levels. But he seems to revel in that and a switch from sensitive soulful solo artist to this collaboration will be interesting. But for once, we’re actually looking past Hernandez and looking on Bettie Cavallo to see what she can bring to the table, with her quirky vocals, as shown on their debut single The Centerpiece Of Life.”

4. GirlSpice - Title TBC
“The number 1 girl group look set to return with a new album sometime soon, having released a string of teasers regarding their newest single Morning Won’t Come which reached number 2 on the Top20 Airplay Charts, it seems like there is more than enough support for the group and a new record, however not an awful lot is known about their plans for the coming months but we wouldn’t be surprised if they returned to conquer the music industry, maybe one last time as a group. With a number of rumours circulating that the time could be perfect for Ms. Berry to legitimize herself as a renowned star on her own terms.”

5. Gears Of Bremen - Steadfast Kids
“A somewhat unexpected success this year has easily been Gears Of Bremen, they started the year working hard on the underground scene and now in June have a number 1 single and a highly anticipated album. They are different, innovative and extremely interesting. Certainly one of the most surprising acts of 2011 so far and we should all expect more surprises from this band in the future. In Culture Uncut’s opinion we see this band as a 21st Century Pink Floyd. And we personally tip their number 1 single, Space Whale Epidemic as one of the best tracks of the year so far.”

Honourable Mention
The Verdict Is Vengeance - Anchors [Free E.P]
Blood Of Wecz - Mortem Regis
Eric Quillington - Satellite Nations
Storm - Title TBC
Isabel - Perfectly Me
Hayden - Perception
Lily - All These Things That I’ve Done
Michelle Green - Exiled
Radio Vine - Twice As Dead
Riot! In The Boulevard - Riot! In The Boulevard [Self Titled]

OOC: Sorry it took so long for me to get around to writing this, I hope it's good enough.

Brittany: OMG, thank you so much. It means so much to actually make the sound, this is definitely a memory I will keep in my heart. #2 is amazing, and specially behind Quillington and Smith, congrats to them by the way.

Michelle: Yay, Exiled made the list. Thanks Culture Uncut, it means alot :)

OOC: I just realized this, thanks !

Mommy's so proud!

Brittany Knox's mother, Kendra Knoxville who doesn't seem to be much in the spot light like her daughter, but she has opened up to Culture Uncut about how proud she is of Brittany Knox for all of her hard work.

Quote:
You know... shes so young. But when you talk to her and get to know her you'd never know that she was still in her early twenties. Brittany's 24 but she has gone through so much within her lifetime that its amazing to see someone so young be so smart, creative and strong. We all knew how it was before.. and that was a hard time for all of us.. but times really have changed. Brittany has really tried so hard to get where she is right now, and she's still striving today because she's such a perfectionist.. and the pressure is high. I wonder how she does it. That's why I love her so dearly, she's such a fighter.. she stands up for everyone who once was an under dog..

She also went on to speak about her daughters 'on fire' momentum
Quote:
She's definitely on fire.. I think Brittany was the wildcard that no one saw coming... and bam.. look at her now. A bonafide superstar. I dont think there are alot of females and artists in general who can garner so much attention, opinion, and anticipation running into their second album, rather then their first. With Mannequin, Brittany was 'famous' for all the wrong reasons, with this new album... she has a voice that needs to be heard, even further more than on Halfway There. I think things are looking up from here and I'm so proud of my daughter.

CONCERT REVIEW
Teen Titans Live At O2 Arena (June 1st, 2011)

When I bought the ticket of the Teen Titans' show, I had no idea on what it could be like. I didn't know if I was going to see a "cheesy" show like they did the last year on their first UK tour, or if I was going to see a show with lots of lights, smoke and other effects.

Then when the Teen Titans' show started with all the blue lights turning on and off, I was sure I was going to see a show full of special effects and it was just like I expected. In fact, the first song they performed was "Out Of The Galaxy" and they showed up on the stage like five aliens landing from a spaceship, coming from another planet. The performance was full of special effects and the stage got all blue and I enjoyed the effect they created that made me feel like being in the space, but I especially enjoyed the fact that they were actually singing live. They all looked comfortable and confident, while singing among all of those special effects.
Then they started to dance on "Shake It", and I liked the synchronized dance routine, that I also found rather energic and it actually got me excited.
On "I Will Wait You" there were less special effects, but it was indeed another exciting performance. There wasn't any dance routine this time, but the five proved to have much energy.
Then they sang "One Night", which quite disappointed me. Joey sounded a bit out of key and he didn't seem to make it this time with his loud voice. Altough I liked Den's vocals - and along with the slow dance routine - this is what saved the song.
At the end of the song, the five are taken down the stage and after a short intro, they showed up with different and more colorful outfits to sing "Who Are You", doing a funny dance routine that I liked.
So after saying hi to the crowd and introducing the song, they sang their #1 hit "Behind Me". Their vocals sounded great, but - at the end of the song - I started to find the dance routine annoying.
Next they sang "You'll Do". What saved this song were definately all the special effects and especially the fact that they acted like puppets.
Then, after another outfits change, it was the turn of "No Boundaries", which was sung with still lots of enthusiasm by the five. I also personally liked the soldiers' attitude used for the performance.
The whole excitement stopped for the "Memory" performance though. This time they tried to touch everyone's hearts showing all the last world's disasters and victims. The performance itself was very touching and I could easily see some of the people in the crowd crying.
So the whole sad atmosphere finished and, as the other four are taken down the stage, Den sings his solo song "True Love", which was another full of special effects performance. The song suited Den well and the performance was quite good.
But Den voice could never be as much powerful as Tanya's one, who proved in the next solo song "My Heart Will Go On" (the Celine Dion's cover) to be the most talented one in the group.
Tanya remains on the stage and this time Joey showed up too, joining her on singing the Electro Rock cover of "I Love Rock And Roll". The two put a lot of energy in this one too and I liked how they combined their loud and strong voices.
As the song finished, the other three where taken up on the stage and they all sang the new song "Recognise Me", which had a very catchy beat and suited all of their voices very well.
Then when they started singing the Lady Gaga's cover "Judas", I started to think that they were actually good on singing covers of other songs, but surprised me with this cover is that they didn't any originality in singing this one like they had done with the two previous covers sung.
The show got slow again for "Someone" and Den joined the other four on singing this song, as it was released the last year as the only single without his vocals featured, because of his departure from the group. Den only sang the chorus with other though, but the fans seemed quite excited the same seeing their hero on the stage with the others. The performance wasn't full of effects or energy like the others, as it had just some lights illuminating here and there.
The Titans did one last outfits change and they sang their first single "Friendship Never Ends", which was one of the best songs performed for its energy and the whole "Disco" dance at the end of the song.
The show eventually ended with a remixed version of "Behind Me"
, and I liked this performance of the song better this time as the dance routine seemed faster.

In conclusion the show was very good to see, especially for the big amount of energy the five put on it for the whole show and what surprised me the most was how much some of them were improved on singing. I was also quite impressed on the fact that they sang the whole show live, which is incredible for such a show with full of big effects, dances and much other.

Joey
Vote: 6.5/10
Joey has a loud Rocky/Jazzy voice and a big vocal range. The only problem with him is that he has some problem on control his voice. His rap skills are quite good for his funny personality. He has also lots of energies and he's quite good at dancing. Best song performed: "Shake It"

UserPostedImage
Tanya
Vote: 9/10
Tanya is the most talented one in the group. Her powerful and strong vocals make her shine a lot and she's also very good at dancing. She's definately been the best on the stage. Best song performed: "My Heart Will Go On"

UserPostedImage
Laurence
Vote: 4/10
Laurence is definately the least talented one. He can be quite good at times with his deep husky voice, but he's usually out of tune. He's not a great dancer, but he can definately do better. Best song performed: "Recognise Me"

UserPostedImage
Den
Vote: 7/10
Den has definately improved a lot since the last year. When the Teen Titans first came out, he was known to have a sexy but weak voice. Now he seems to have extended his vocal range and he definately puts lots of personality in his voice. It looks like he has more confidence and he has also improved on dancing. Best song performed: "Who Are You"

UserPostedImage
Mimi
Vote: 6.5/10
Mimi has always had an angelic, sweet and soft voice. She's also always in tune and this is very good, but she can do better with her voice and the same is with her dancing skills, where she could learn a lot. She has definately grown up from the last year, showing a more mature woman than she was on the stage before. Best song performed: "Memory"

In may 26th and 27th ElectroDeath was join by Miss Vanity while she was at her world tour in São Paulo, together they recorded a song entitled “Wicca” which was announced in the time that it would feature ElectroDeath’s upcoming album… but due to recent news that Miss Vanity has passed away, ElectroDeath made a statement at SSR official website about not releasing the song.

“Miss Vanity was always a huge inspiration from us, as a fan, I used to whatch every performance she made on TV, every new video she released, I bought every album, single, DVD she made, it was not a secret from anybody that we loved her SO MUCH. While we were producing this album we thought that we could ask others artists to collaborate with and Miss Vanity was our first idea.
She came to us in Brazil, while she was promoting and we had the perfect days a fan could ask! We passed two days together, we went to watch her live, and we did this song that talks about freedom and love, she was so beautiful and so talented on it that we planned to release it as a single.. but due to this dievastating loss, we just cannot release it anymore, this song will be cut out of our new recorded, and we don’t even know if we are going to release this song sometime, we are so sorry for what happened, we LOVE HER SO MUCH, and this song bears so much of her personality, once she co wrote and produced the song, sorry for our fans that waited so much this duet, but I know they will understand why we are doing this. Thank you so much, and we just hope Miss Vanity is in a better Place!”

With love ElectroDeath

Erich hess: i may not "personally know" the people involved,i nay not "have even been in the same room" as them, i may not " know my ass from a hole in the ground". But that doesnt mean i cant tell you the real story behind vanity's and katie's deaths. Vanity was about to testify against the barilla crime family.yes, the makers of fine pasta. The barillas were in cahoots with the cia.with the nation being broke, someone had to fund the murder of osama bin laden.enter the barillas. In return for the funding, the barillas were guaranteed a cut of future cia/afghan heroin profits. With me so far? Good. Vanity caught wind of this, and was going to blow the lid off the whole thing, she was naming names.powerful people were scared,an election year heroin scandal was the last thing "they" wanted. Now you are most likely asking how a pop star could possibly be privy to such knowledge? Easy. Vanity's smoldering sexuality gave her power over forces you and i could barely conceptualize, yet alone comprehend.

Now with the powers that be nervous, the decision was made to have vanity killed.nobody would question a plane crash.so the cia used the skills learned from the mk ultra project, and would periodically dose katie coyle with lsd.this explains her erratic behavior as of late. The cia "suggested" to katie that she park a 84 ford escort on a runway, ensuring vanity's crash. Now with vanity killed and coyle useless, the cia upped katie's dosages until she went mad with grief over what she had done. Nicole woods is possibly the cia agent who kept tabs on katie, while she was of use.that i do not know.she may also be a victim of the renewed mk ultra project.thank you,And good night.

MONEY MONEY MONEY $$$$

Suzie's father giving up one millions dollars, to any label willing to sign his daughter to push her to the top

It has been announced that new Swedish pop artist, Suzie, who just announced her debut single (oh god) called "Love Feels Like Osama Bin Laden" featuring Stephanie Fierce., her father has confirmed rumors that he is paying any label one million dollars to sign his daughter to a contract exclusively to their label and to push his daughter to the top. One million dollars is ALOT of money, now lets wonder what label will take on this interesting and handful of an artist.. stay tuned.

The Sex Kittens announce debut single!

UserPostedImage

Today via twitter "Angel" from The Sex Kittens announced that their debut single named "DGAF" will be released on Friday. The only thing that we received from The Sex Kittens was the single cover art. They said they wanted to keep the lyrics on the DL until they release them via their official website. They also told us that there will NOT be a radio edit and if people have issues with the vulgar lyrics of the song that they can "Suck our dicks and change the fucking radio station." I guess we will find out on Sunday if this duo can back up their trash talk or not!

Rumour has it that young rapper MattY has been in the studio with new artist Suzie. Many ask why would MattY do that to himself? The word on the street is money. Lots of money. Our source says that Suzie's father payed MattY a massive £750,000 to do this track with Suzie.
But with MattY already being cashed strapped having released two successful albums, will it really be worth 'dirtying' his name and working with an artist who is only around because her daddy is rich?
We will find out soon...

1. Suzie is hot
2. I like money
and 3. ... erm... Suzie is hot!

MattY, I would set my hair on fire for 750,000. Well... maybe a million. Or two. But, still; anybody who says they wouldn't do a simple track for that much money is only kidding themselves. You made a good choice, man.

William Grach new owner of Shooting Star Records

Rumours are true! Malory Evans has stepped down as owner of Shooting Star Records and passed it onto William Grach and Emily Smith who are more commenly known as The Wolverines. The two have been responsible for producing many hits for artists this year, and last year. Only big things will happen from this point forward for SSR.
