Today we bring the devastating news that Indie Queen, Michelle Green has been diagnosed with kidney cancer. The young star left her local hospital no less than 40 minutes ago with the news. We haven't been able to get much information from Michelle herself but her father released this statement just 10 minutes ago;

"I dread to say and any parent hates to say.....that.....their daughter has Cancer. I, well all of us had no idea that there was any problem what so ever until she started getting severe pains in her sides last night and this morning she was feeling very weak. I....I thought that she just ate something funny but about an hour ago she started to beg me to take her to hospital because it was too much to bare. After an examination her doctor [Dr. Mina Shah] called us in and explained to us that....M-michelle has kidney cancer. I'm 49 years old, I thought that if my daughter was near death, I'd be long gone and so I wouldn't have to see her go through pain. This is such a kick to the kerb for all of us. My wife, has just been silent this whole time because she is too shocked to say anything. It is times like this when you question God's work!"

Michelle who is just only 16 years of age has became the nations sweetheart over the past year due to her mild manners, her charm and raw talent. Michelle has proven to be a survivor after many career struggles. She has been praised by many and is a face that everyone recognises and loves. She has also been dubbed as the "Queen Of Indie", a "Pop Princess" and "The Girl With The Golden Voice". Many of her fans have came out and supported her. Many posts on Youtube videos, tweets on Twitter and Facebook comments have appeared in the last 10 minutes supporting Michelle and giving her and her family strength and their best wishes. The singer's PA, Elle Sharp had this to say;

"Michelle and her family thank you all for the love and support. As you know she is only 16 , a child still in many people's eyes. It is one of the most unfortunate things ever to happen to a person and sadly Michelle has to face it. All of these comments are really lovely but in the end they are just words. It is up to God whether or not Michelle pulls through this and believe me, I'll force him myself to help this poor girl. Many people want a statement from Michelle but she, as you can all understand, is in a state of shock and is extremely emotional at this time. She is a strong girl but this is a lot to take, even for the hardest men in the world. Once you hear the words "you have cancer", your whole world falls apart. I appreciate everyone's concern but I have to go and tend to the family".

Many celeb friends have also found out the news. Victoria Black was seen entering the Green family home in tears. It shows just how much she means to everyone and how distraught they will be if worse comes to worse. Many artists admire her and some of the biggest stars have worked and hung out with little Michelle. People like Ryan Ross Hernandez, Katie Coyle and Jason Smith have worked with 16 year old and will no doubt try to help her through this difficult time. We are unsure what will happen about her career and if it is on hold or will this give her extra drive? One things sure, Michelle will put up one hell of a fight!
