PLOT;

Set in Norfolk, Virginia in 2024 around three years after high school, ‘Marina Hanson’ returns to her home city of Norfolk, Virginia during a summer break from College. She reconnects with old high school friends during her brief return back home, best friends Sophia and Amelia and former flame Jordan. During the summer the trio embark on rediscovering their former friendships and in a welcome change of pace from the serious world that they’re living in now, with each of them having their own thing going on in life, with the summer break allowing them to let go of the seriousness of their everyday life and reconnect with their former more carefree younger selves. A summer with no responsibilities and no rules see’s them partying and truly letting go of their adult responsibilities, drinking and experimenting with drugs and romantic flings.

A former high school student ‘Roxanne ‘Roxy’ Prine’ discovers that Marina is back in her home city and a change meeting at a local bar with Marina and her friends brings back bad memories for Roxy. She’s struggled throughout her entire life with trauma, first at home as a child of violence, both against her and as a witness which eventually led to her moving into foster care. Seeing Marina and her friends again, the faces of those that used to relentlessly bully her throughout her school years is enough to send her spiralling out of control.
She faces up the courage of speaking to the group led by Marina and although they don’t initially recognize her due to her drastic purposeful change in appearance they eventually become aware of who ‘Roxy’ is. Marina and her friends make a point of apologising to Roxy, making amends and offering ‘Roxy’ the opportunity to hang out with the group throughout the summer and start over again with their fractured relationships. ‘Roxy’ spends the evening with them, pretending to have let go the issues from their past but declines the groups offer to join them and hang out at a forthcoming festival.

The group attend a travelling music and arts festival passing through their state, armed with alcohol and narcotics and determined to have the greatest evening of their lives they find themselves getting into the party spirit. Enjoying the music and entertainment on offer, dancing and partying with people throughout the three day festival. However, ‘Roxy’ has decided to show up at the three day festival, on her own rather than with the group. She allows the darkness of her past to overcome her and sets about getting her own extreme form of justice. She observes the group from a distance during the first day of the festival and hatches a plan to separate them from each other throughout the remaining two days, noting that Marina, Amelia and Jordan appear to be in a complicated situation where they appear to be into each other in some sort of love triangle.
Noticing that Sophia is the odd one out, during day two ‘Roxy’ singles her out, finding her alone in the bathroom doing coke, ‘Roxy’ offers to take her to her group of friends that can get her some better stuff. Of course this group of friends doesn’t exist, with ‘Roxy’ leading her to her hotel room located around five minutes from the festival venue. She leads a drunk and high Sophia to her room, cuffing her to the side of her bed and taping her mouth. Knowing that she’s managed to get one member of the group separated as part of her plan. She uses Sophia’s phone to keep in touch with her friends, to remove any suspicions from them, leading them to believe that she’s just somewhere in the vast crowd, enjoying herself before letting them know that she’s decided to head home at the end of day two. Of course, Sophia is trapped in Roxy’s hotel room with her, unable to move or make any noise. ‘Roxy’ continuously promises not to hurt Sophia and lets her know that she never believed Sophia wanted any part in the horrible bullying that she endured, she just made friends with horrible people.

As day three of the festival begins, it’s just Marina, Amelia and Jordan left from the group. They make jokes about how Sophia can’t keep up with the party lifestyle anymore etc. and plan on making the most of the final day. ‘Roxy’ returns to the festival, safe in the knowledge that Sophia will be remaining trapped in her hotel room. As the day progresses, she spots an opportunity to separate the group the once more, with Amelia and Jordan sneaking off from Marina to hook up with each other. ‘Roxy’ follows them through the festival grounds as they make their way to their car, it’s parked off-site, around half a mile away from the festival venue in an old empty run-down car park. ‘Roxy’ observes Amelia and Jordan get into the car, getting hot and steamy as the pair have ditched their friend in order to have sex. Knowing she has some time, ‘Roxy’ runs to her car parked at the hotel and returns, pulling up a block away from the abandoned car-park. She exits her car with two plastic containers of gasoline.
Confidently walking back to the vehicle, knowing that the abandoned area was highly unlikely to attract much attention she pours gasoline around the vehicle while Amelia and Jordan continue having sex in the backseat. Showing zero remorse for Amelia and Jordan in comparison to Sophia, Roxy strikes a match and tosses it in the direction of the vehicle. Without looking back as the car goes up in flames, she walks away from the scene of the crime with no fear or emotion. Smiling as she makes her way down the street, back towards the festival grounds.

During the final act, ‘Roxy’ returns to the festival grounds, looking around for a while before she spots Marina drinking and enjoying the show. She makes her way to Marina, feigning to accidently bump into her. She talks about how she wasn’t planning on coming to the festival but how Marina inspired her to step out of her comfort zone and start to live a little. She talks to Marina who is a little worried about where Amelia and Jordan have gone, but Roxy convinces Marina that they’re probably somewhere in the crowd or stuck in a queue somewhere. Promising to party with Marina at least until her friends show up. The pair drink and have fun, enjoying the show as the festival comes towards the end. Marina plans on hanging around until she finds Amelia and Jordan, but Roxy convinces her to just text them and arrange to catch up the following day. Roxy lets Marina know that she has a hotel room nearby and convinces her to crash in her hotel room with her rather than waiting around for a cab home.
During their walk back to the hotel, Roxy puts on the charm and lets Marina know that although she was effectively Roxy’s bully, she was always crushing on Marina and they find themselves getting into deep meaningful conversations on the walk back to the hotel room. As they arrive at Roxy’s room, she opens the door, locking it behind her she pushes Marina down onto her bed as Marina see’s Sophia in distress, she lets out a scream but before she could make anymore noise Roxy was sat on top of her and already applying tape to Marina’s mouth. Sitting on top of Marina, holding her arms down as she initially tried to fight she knew it was no use. With Sophia cuffed to the side of the bed, she cuffed both of Marina’s arms to each thick wooden poster frame. She spoke to both of them about everything they had done to her in the past, what she had done to Amelia and Jordan and what she planned to do to Marina. Confirming that although she didn’t have it in her to harm Sophia, she would at least make Sophia watch as she caused pain to Marina.

She began by pointing out that what she was saying about crushing on Marina was true and how now was the perfect chance for her to satisfy her curiosity, initially playful, running her hands over Marina’s body. She eventually undressed her bully, taking advantage of her in this way was Roxy’s version of truly getting revenge for being take advantage of throughout her entire life. She took her time toying and fucking Marina until she was satisfied. Before taking out a knife and delivering slow and disturbingly clinical cuts to various parts of Marina’s body, making Sophia watch in the process. Eventually Roxy kills Marina, cutting her throat and in her mind finally seeing out her plan.
She turns to Sophia explaining that she doesn’t fear what happens next, promising that she won’t hurt Sophia. She gives Sophia the choice between calling the police and killing Roxy herself. She unties Sophia from the side of the bed, hands her the knife and takes off the tape from Sophia’s mouth. Allowing Sophia to make her own decision.
