It has been confirmed by Alicia Lena that she will be supported by newcomer O'Bryan Richmond on her tour later in the year.
O'Bryan Richmond is still relatively unknown, he is signed to the same label as Alicia Lena, Junction Records and plans to have an album out later in the year.
In a message on her website she said:
"I'am able to confirm that the tour support will be by O'Bryan Richmond, He's a fantastic musician and a really cool guy, I'm really looking forward to the tour and hopefully we can put on a good show for our fans, tickets go on sale sometime in July, I'll let you know when. In other news I have my new single More Than You'll Ever Know out on Saturday, so please be sure to pick up your copy at your local record store or you can download it on Itunes as of Saturday morning. Hey Alicia, good luck with the single. I've heard it on the radio a few times and it sound's great, i'm sure it'll chart well. And i'm gonna be taking my girlfriend to you're November 8 show in San Diego as a surprise because that's her birthday and you're her favourite artist. I'm sure you'll put on a great show. More Than You'll Ever Know Review
With her first single New York Love Affair selling over half a million copies and charting at a very respectable 26 in South America, She has fast become one of the most talked about R&B singers, she has already got a long list of famous friends including, Tisha Jackson, O’Bryan Richmond, Holly Zona, Cristina Lake and Ryan Ross Hernandez and she is currently dating fellow R&B musician Moquel. Her rise to fame has become almost gigantic and her second single will only continue the rise of fame for her.
The music industry is currently in need of an R&B princess and she seems to be the front runner for that title, She is far beyond any other female R&B singer right now and her future could be huge.
Her second single was released earlier today and More Than You’ll Ever Know, is a basic R&B which does have it’s moments, It’s a decent song with catchy lyrics which you’d expect but it has a much deeper meaning than her previous effort New York Love Affair. The song starts off with a piano intro and then rises throughout the song into the final minute, it slows down in the final minute and the song ends with Alicia breathing a sign of relief. It’s likely to be a top 40 hit and I predict it will go on to sell more than New York Love Affair, I’m tipping it to sell over seven hundred thousand copies but I wouldn’t be surprised if it sold closer to the one million mark, fans will enjoy it and it will only enhance her rising career, it’s not going to be the best song you’ve heard this year but it’s definitely one of the better one’s. *** 3/5 stars.
