English girls are easy... haha, it's why I'm glad to have been born in Britian. I'm looking forward to this album, though! It's terrific that you've overcome your writer's block.

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."

Yeah they sure are. Yeah I couldn't be happier about getting back in the flow of things, I must point out that this is only the album cover. I haven't recorded it or anything, but more details will follow soon.

Stacey: Thanks, I really hope they can live up to expectations. I'm gonna be recording it in London, so if you can get to London anytime in the next 4 weeks then we'll get things going in terms of recording and stuff, you'll be one of the first people to hear most of these songs.

Stacey: Oh thanks Danny, I loved Anti-Social, I thought it was one of the best songs of the year so far.

OOC: Thanks, I honestly didn't expect anyone to like this character because she was sort of more rebellious and stuff but I'm amazed at how people have taken to her, I thank you all.

OOC: She doesn't have a typical personality, which I think is what alot of people like. She's a rebel, which means she doesn't have an extremely boring and bland persona. I really like her so far, she's probably my favorite character of yours.

The Sun Always Rises

I got out of bed one morning, hung over and feeling kind of depressed because I had recently broken up with a guy. I opened my curtains and looked out of my window and the sun was shining, I was suddenly feeling good about things, I got dressed, had something to eat and went out for a walk, during that walk I met someone who I was destined to become great friends with. That’s essentially how I wrote that song, and that’s pretty much what it’s about. It’s about seeing the light and realising that the sun is always shining somewhere in the world.

Where Do You Go When Your On Your Own

It’s pretty self explanatory. What would happen if you never knew anybody, what if you had no friends or family, what would you do with yourself, would you go to the same places if you were alone or would you spend all your time at home doing nothing.
The title is pretty much saying it all, where do you go when your on your own, I think everybody has that special place which means so much to them, I know I do, but I don’t think it would have the same effect if I was all alone and had no one to go there with.

I’ll Give You A Good Time

I guess you could interpret it as a song about sex which I guess is understandable but if I’m honest it’s just about having fun, It doesn’t say anything to do with sex but it could be seen that way. You get these people who spend there time in front of a computer screen all the time and they don’t live you know, they don‘t go out and get wild or they don‘t do anything out there, whether that is something as high profile as sky diving or something as small as having a party with a couple of friends, I know people like that and I just wanna grab them and just say “fucking live a little“.

Don’t Be Gentle

Again this could be interpreted as being a song about sex, but that’s not what I particularly intended when I wrote it. It’s about those kind of people who think that all girls are small and vulnerable and incapable of taking care of themselves. Guys think it’s there job to look after us and it’s really not, not for me anyway, I can handle myself. It’s basically a song saying, “don’t think just because I’m a young girl, I need someone to look after me.”

Rip Up The Rulebook

I think at one of my first gig reviews I said this song is kind of about Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, it’s not specifically about him, It’s about that full on Rockstar type of thing, you know someone like Slash, Anthony Kiedis or Nikki Sixx, who should really be dead, when you read all the crazy things they’ve done, I love to read about Rockstars story’s and those three guys fascinate me, They should have died a long time ago but they’re still here. And the title is basically, they’ve ripped up the rulebook because the rulebook would have them dead by now but they‘re not. I hope that makes sense.

English Girls Are Easy (So You Think)

Right well this song isn’t necessarily saying that English girls are easy or that they’re not easy. It’s sort of an open opinion about it. It’s basically saying sometime you can go somewhere in London and you’ll find that English girls are indeed easy, some of them would fuck anything that offers, and then in other places you get these girls who are so uptight, they won’t fuck you unless you’ve got a promising sporting career or you have an expensive car. So what I’m saying in the song is that there’s really no in between, your either easy or your uptight. Obviously that’s not 100% true, but it makes for a decent song.

A Tender Kiss

It’s a sort of flip side of the English Girls Are Easy song, It’s more saying even though I love sex and stuff, there are times when all I want is to just have a tender kiss. There’s the lyrics, I know it’s hard to resist/I know you think I’m easy/But you can have a tender kiss. That pretty much sums up the whole song. Obviously the single blew up on the charts and I’m so grateful for that, it’s probably gonna be seen as the song I’m most famous for, for the next couple of years, which again I’m so grateful but it could get a bit old I don‘t want to be seen as a one trick pony, I do believe that there are at least 4 songs on this album which are better and hopefully people will go, oh she’s actually got a number of great songs but it‘s been incredible how well it has done.

A Whisper In The Wind

It’s a recurring theme, a song about loneliness. I guess it’s what most people are afraid of, I don’t really have any fears of heights, spiders, closed spaces or anything like that, but I guess my only fear would be being lonely. The song is about a girl living in the same town she grew up in and realising that she’s the only person from her youth who still lives there, it’s about realising that everyone has gone on to follow there dreams and this girl is just working at a boring old dinner or something and her life isn’t going anywhere.

Remember Winter

I’ve always preferred winter to summer, winter feels nice and cosy and if you’ve been in love over the winter months then you can relate to this, If you’ve ever just sort of stayed at home and watched a film with you boyfriend or girlfriend and you kind of feel really safe. It’s basically about wanting that cosy feeling again even thought it’s no longer possible.

Your Love (Leads A Girl To Drink)

It’s about the age old debate of girls just wanting to be with arsehole guys, it’s about being in a volatile relationship and it would hurt less if I’m drunk. When in all honesty it would be better to just end it, it‘s the simplest decisions that are the hardest to make.

An Unbreakable Bond

It’s about a friendship, a friendship bond which is pretty much impossible to break. A friendship can be the most special relationship you can have at times. If you have the right friends then everything can be fine, you don’t need anything else which I think is something that people don’t understand very much. Most 16-22 year old girls think that it’s so important to be dating when really there’s no rush, have fun when you can.

Lovers In A Cold Bed

The cold bed thing isn’t as literal as it sound, it’s meaning is the coldness between the people in the bed but they realise that they don’t want to be on there own even thought they’re relationship is non-existent. Lovers In A Cold Bed, means two people who were once perfect for each other and so in love have grown apart but neither of them wants to end the relationship.

Don’t Look Back

It’s about going for your dreams, the chorus is pretty simple, “Aim For The Stars/And Don’t Look Back.” it may come across as corny or whatever but it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time before I got signed. What benefits will you get from not going for your dreams, it’s better to try and fail than wonder what might have been.

The Young & The Restless

It’s sung by a fifteen year old and an eighteen year old. It’s a mix of my sort of rock sound and Michelle’s big voice, it fits pretty well. It’s a song about being young, pretty simple, it’s kind of similar to I’ll Give You A Good Time, in that it’s kind of me saying well why would you want to stay at home all day and not live life, when your young you want to be going out with friends and that’s the restless part of the song, hence the title. When I’m in London I barely spend time at my apartment, I use my apartment for sleeping basically, I’m always on the move, I’m young and I’m restless.

Whores In The Backstreets

Pretty self explanatory, it’s a song about whores in the backstreets. You walk down any busy town’s backstreets on a weekend and you’ll see a number of whores. It’s kind of like a story of a whores life, it‘s empty and it‘s a lonely existence, obviously I have no frame of reference but the story is about how I think a whores life is really like.

I Have Better Sex On My Own

Again the title says it all, I think it’s fair to say this one won’t be released as a single. It’s a pretty fun songs, it’s not deep or anything, it was just me with a guitar, a couple of drinks and a couple of friends singing a song about masturbation. It’s not hugely graphic but I don’t think parents will want their 8 year old daughters singing it. But like I say it’s a pretty care-free song. It’s not taken seriously and I think that’s a pretty good way to go into song writing.

OOC: Thanks, I'd probably say she's my favourite character of mine too, hence the large number of roleplays/interviews and stuff with her.

I can't wait to start producing this! Alot of these songs are very happy and positive, which I like, because there are so many depressing songs out there right now.... like Infinite's....

So Stacey what can you tell us about your debut album?
Well if you enjoyed the single and you’ve enjoyed my live shows then you’ll enjoy the album. I haven’t recorded it yet but I’ve done some demo’s in California. In terms of the songs, it’s pretty much what you’d expect, I think there’s a solid mix with the album and I’d like to think there’s a bit of something for everyone. Ranging from emotional ballads, rock anthems, scruffy fast paced punk, soft rock and there’s a couple of track which will maybe surprise some people, but I don’t think you could put just one genre on this album, I don’t think it could be called just a rock album, it’s pretty diverse, there‘s even a more dance/electronic track on it.

What’s your favourite songs on the album?
I’d probably say The Sun Always Rises, A Tender Kiss, English Girls Are Easy and Don’t Look Back. I’d like to think that each song has some sort of stand out quality to it and I‘m sure other people will have different favourites, but those four are probably the songs I respond more to, if I was a fan then those would be the songs I‘d like to see as singles, but there not the most commercial songs but that‘s not important.

How difficult was the writing process for this album?
It was tough at times. I think I found it quite easy early on in the process because my mind was fresh and the songs I was writing were coming out naturally and easily but I think after I finished writing A Tender Kiss, things started to slow down, I was kind of struggling for inspiration and the kind of songs I was writing had to be thrown out because it just wasn’t me, I was at a place where I was cooling down a bit in terms of the drinking and the party’s and stuff because I started dating Matt and we sort of became a more tame couple together, but in the last week I’ve been on a creative high, I’ve been writing almost constantly and they’ve been all high standard songs, so things have picked up and I have the songs finished and ready to be recorded.

Where will you be recording the album?
In London, I wanted to record the album somewhere I felt comfortable and London was the obvious choice. If I had of recorded it in California or New York then I’d have been out of my depth, I think other things would have gotten in the way of the recording process and I want to concentrate fully on making the best record I can possibly make. London is the place to do it.

And what about production, who will be producing the album?
I have three producers overall, Jason Smith who is of course the vocalist and guitarist of Mind but he’s also a really great producer, he co-produced Cristina Lake’s debut album and he did an incredible job, so he’s on board which is great. I’ve also got Danny Allen to produce the album along with Jason, He was the guy who got me over to the USA and helped me get some interest from record labels, I also worked on a track on his debut album and he’s one of the best young producers around, he produced Miss Vanity’s latest album Born This Way and is also working with Reckoner. And the final producer is Eric Quillington, I think it’s his first production role, he’s working on the bonus tracks so it’s good to see how he does with it, I’m also an Infinite obsessive and I’ve got a pretty good relationship with him so I’m pretty excited about getting down to work.

And when can we expect it to be released?
I think October is what we’re gonna be shooting for but we could possibly get it out by mid September, but like I say I haven’t begun the recording process just yet. I don’t want it to drag on into November and December so hopefully it won’t be too long before we can see the album hit the shelf’s but for now people will have to just sit tight.

Any collaborations on the album?
Just one, a song with Michelle Green is a bonus track on the album, but that’s the only collaboration. There’s so many people I’d love to work with but I’m not sure many people would be very interested in working with me, I can get a bit frustrated when I’m in the studio but that’s something you guys will all find out in the coming weeks.

And how will we find out?
I’m gonna be monitoring and keeping a diary sort of thing which will be put up on my website, each day I spend in the studio will be written down and put up on the website for people to read, It‘s gonna be no holds barred, any major things which happen in the studio will be written for the whole world to see, It‘s one of the things I‘m most looking forward to, I think it will give people an insight into how recording an album is like and it will also hopefully give people an insight my life which will hopefully be interesting.

So what did you want from this album when you set out to write it?
I want something that could stand the test of time, a lot of great people’s debut albums haven’t been very successful until like the 3rd or 4th album but I wanna sort of come out firing with my debut album. I want an album that in 50 years when I’m old and grey I can look back on and go, “I’m really proud of that.” I guess that’s all people want from an album. I think there’s an added pressure because support of this album has been crazy and obviously the success of A Tender Kiss has made it more high profile, I really wasn’t expecting support like I’ve had and that’s a definite positive but it does put more pressure on me to make the album a success, but I’m pretty sure I’m not going to let people down with it, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

So how do you think you’ll handle the pressure?
I think your always gonna have people who will criticize your every move, you can make the best album of your life and people will still try to find something bad about it, It’s just the way the world is, but for me as long as my fans are happy then I’m gonna be happy with it. I don’t think it will affect me if people say bad things about the album, I’ve got a pretty thick skin and I’ve dealt with quite a bit of criticism in the past so it’s not really something I’m gonna worry about.”

>>> Her album is available for pre-order from Monday 23rd 2010 via her official website. Her debut single A Tender Kiss is available for purchase on her official website and also on Itunes.

OOC: This is the final part of the crazy promotional period.

Everybody has their own critics who loathe their every move, so it's good to see that you aren't getting too upset over negative responses to your music. I'm looking forward to helping produce this album, it's going to be an unforgettable experience!

- Stephen King
