Wild Life, snakebite's debut album is now out in the USA!
we asked guitarist Danny Scarlet what he thinks about the songs: "this album is something i'm very proud of, ya know when we wrote the songs we wanted to catch the sound our favourites bands had in the 80s, bands like the crue, ratt, def leppard... and it's doin' very well, it's 33 in the us so i'm happy we'll start the tour soon.".
Snakebite ruled the clubs circuit the since they formed 2 years ago and here's a short biography of the band's members by Danny:
"Nick Savage: Nick (born Nicholas johnson), started singing when he was 16 in a Motley Crue cover band, it's the main writer for the songs lyrics and a fantastic frontman;
James Raffaello: James is an awesome musician and a fantastic guy...ya know it's the kind of guy u'd say ur lucky to be friend with;
Danny Scarlet:I think i'm a good guitarist (laugh) and i hope you'll like my way of playin', and i write or cowrite all the songs too;
Tommy Sneider:Tommy's the best drummer i've ever heard, he's a monster behind the skins...ya know he's fuckin' insane!;"
So we wish Snakebite every luck with theyr record and theyr carreer, Danny left saying:"Hey we'll se ya on tour, and buy our record!"

INTERVIEW WITH NICK SAVAGE FROM SNAKEBITE!
UserPostedImage

Nick Savage is the singer for the hair-metal band Snakebite and we had the opportunity to ask him about the debut album Wild Life.
Q:hi Nick good to see a rock band finally climbing again to the top of the charts...
A:hi, thanks we're very proud of the record it's a kick-ass album...
Q:what about the critics and the rieviews?
A:I don't give a shit, critics talked shit of bands like Van Halen, KISS, and AC\DC in the beginning so we're in very good company.
Q:Why you guys decided to reales "wild life" on your own?
A:Simply because no label was intrested in us, but i think that now that the album is selling so well, some motherfucker will be intrested in us...
Q:yeah now that they know that they can do some money...
A:yeah, but i'm not pissed of for it...it's called the music buisness, not music...i think that when nirvana, and all those bands came out, and all the hard rock or the metal bands were dropped by theyr labels the scene was refreshed but we finally need some good metal bands out there to show people how to rock."
Q:but you have to understand that people liked that kind of music at the time...
A:No i can't understand why someone should listen to that shit...bands that can't play theyr instruments and are all about boredom and how shitty theyr rockstar's lifes were
we're about girls, we're about having fun and gettin' laid, we're about fuckin' rock 'n'roll man!
Q:So you don't think music should have a more introspective side?
A: i'm not saying it, what i'm trying to say is that since fuckin elvis presley came out, rock 'n roll it's always been about girls and fun, what they did in the 90s was trying to resurrect punk attitude, but to me guns 'n roses or motley crue were more punk than fuckin nirvana and pearl jam.
Q:Ok let's return to snakebite, what will the tour be like?
A:To say the truth i don't know, because we spent lots of money to release the album on our own so we don't know how to do about the tour, i think that the only way to tour would be supporting a major act...
Q:So i wish u every luck Nick...thank for your time.
A:thank you man, bye!

Stacey: Holy fuck it's 1987 again, I once fucked a guy a year ago who still thought he was living in the 80's and man that hair gets in the way ;)
I like songs about sex and I think I'm gonna enjoy following your music, you've got some pretty decent influences as well, one thing, I think there's a distinct difference between Punk and Grunge, Nirvana weren't a punk band in the same sense as like The Clash, they were more of a grunge band, I think The Replacements for example would be considered more of a punk band.

Nick Savage: thanks everyone, but hey stacey, i did not say that nirvana sounded like the punk bands, i was talking about attitude.
And Nick we're not goin' to have a tour until some label will sign us... But we would be pleased to support anyone who wants to take us on!
So we're searching for a label...

Stacey: Alright then, I understand what you mean, although you can't really say that Guns N Roses are very credible these days but yeah in their day they had more attitude than Nirvana and Pearl Jam of course they did, they were fucking crazy.
