Ryan Ross Hernandez — what a curious case. As a pop personality, the guy's abarrel of laughs. He's a tabloid fixture who wears his celebrity with a wink and his equally famous girlfriends with a smile. But then Hernandez steps into a studio, and the fun spigot claps shut. This year, singer/songwriter/guitarist Ryan Ross Hernandez has spent most of the new decade incognito, but has been widely reported that the 25-year old bluesman has kept himself busy by trying to perfect all his aspect of composing, songwriting, and guitar playing craftsmanship. Rumored to have taken the disappearing route after giving a blasphemous interview to Rolling Stone in February of this year, set off accusations in the media and online of his being a misogynist, kiss-and-tell ex-boyfriend, and homophobic.

As of late though, Hernandez seems to have learned to keep his mouth shut, which was good news for everyone who only wanted to hear music from the talented musician. While he released "Hollywood Hills Assassin," in July, and was said to be the first single off his forthcoming third studio album, the single was only able to receive moderate success on both Top 20 radio and the Hot 100 charts. The song however was praised by critics, most of them complimenting the hint of 'swag,' Ryan added to his vocals and mentioned that Hernandez is still untouched when it comes to guitarists in mainstream music. "Assassin," was still believed to be one of those songs from Ryan's discography that critics and fans couldn't see eye to eye with. In the last 8 months though, we have also heard Hernandez's singing and guitar ninja-dom talents on Alicia Lena's "Rooftops," collaboration and producer Danny Allen's album.

But now that the Summer is over, and we head to the cold, gloomy months of Autumn, Hernandez seems to be ready to come out of his musical hiatus. And the first step is, no not to start dating the most well-known member of GirlSpice, Nadia Berry, although Hernandez the public character is doing just that. The first step for the bluesman to return to the music world is to find a record label. Between the release of his 6x platinum selling "Dark Secret Love," album and present day, his recording label Spice Records defunct, causing Hernandez to search for a new label to allow him to distribute his music. On Thursday morning, a short press statement quoted from Hernandez was released and can be read below.

"With my third-album-to-be, recorded, mixed, and mastered, all that's left is a release date. As much as I'm a studied musician, that is exactly it. I'm a studied musician. Not a studied behind-the-scenes promoter or distributor. I tested those seas, but found out that I am much better when I'm just playing guitar and singing in front of a microphone. That's why for me to continue doing what I am best at, I need people to handle all those things I'm not studied in. I need a major record label to be able and reach as many people as possible with all my music. I'm in no way exaggerating one bit when I say the next piece of full-length music you will hear from me, is the most well-executed, best performed and an eloquent written record, I have ever produced, performed, written and recorded. To have my forthcoming album reach its full potential of becoming a music standard, we both need a full supporting record label behind it. As I mentioned in a recent interview overseas, I want this record to be released sometime in November, and that plan hasn't changed nor will it change. I have spoken with a few record labels already but I want to give every label out there interested in signing me, an opportunity to reach out with their offers to me. I want this matter to be behind me as soon as possible, so I can get out there on the road and start playing all these new songs I have written for you all to hear. Once I sign my name in ink on a record contract, I will begin my next step to getting my life back in place and reintroducing my musical talents."

(OOC: PM me if you want Ryan Ross Hernandez signed to your label.)

Greg Walls (Junction Records): If it was up to me you'd be signed to Junction Records in a shot but of course the label is run by Max and sadly "The dream signing." won't happen, I wish you great luck in finding a label that suits you perfectly because your one of the best around.
