OOC: I'll admit I was pretty pleased with the hosts opening speech, the whole boob joke :)
Please let me know how you thought it went and what I could do to improve the next awards show, obviously more awards are possible, I wanted to ease my way into it, hence only the 4 awards.

OOC: I think it's respectable to start off small, and you can definitely expand the categories for next time. If you need help as well, I'll be more than happy to help.

OOC: I want to apologize for not being around for this as it was happening, but I want to give a huge congratulations as this was something that the entire forum has been talking about for about 6 years now and to see someone come along and do it basically alone goes to show how much he deserves an award himself. To sum it up, dude, you rock.




Johnny Johnson looks at Stephanie and a single tear streams down his face. In disbelief he looks around at all the other artists in the crowd. People he looked up too long before he became a musician, people he looked up to after he became a musician. All these people he head expected to win and yet they called his bands name. Trembling he walked to the stage. Heart fluttering, hands shaking, and mind racing he looked up from the mic.



Johnny:

I aint much for speech making. (he laughs) Hell, I didn't even think to write one up...This is an honor like no other, to be the first band to receive this award is something to behold really. It makes it feel worth it, but not because of the award, but because the music touched enough people to enable us winning the award. If I did anything worthwhile in our music I hope that it was that it taught people something, or made them feel something. This award isn't mine, but its a symbol of why we all do what we do, though sometime it becomes superficial, we are all in it for the music. We start that way and eventually we end that way. I want to dedicate this to all the artists we lost these past couple months and years. They were talented, and some were my dear freinds...I guess that's all I got to say. Thank you.

OOC: Maybe next time kind of have a traditional Hall of Fame sort of thing where you actually induct people into a list of Hall of Famers, or have the legendary Artist award kind of transfer to that sort of thing (if thats not already what you had in mind). That would be about the only thing I would expand on, its a pretty nice formula, small enough to keep it going without stressing you out too much and big enough to pick the forum up off its knees.

Sally: It was too bad that I didn't make it to the show, but luckily I PVR'd the whole thing. Congratulations to all the winners!
