This morning reports came in to Sky News that there had been a car accident in New Jersey involving the well known American Rockstar Max Armstrong and his close friend and 4th Street Band member Lucy Tyrell. We can now confirm that these reports are accurate and we can break some terrible news.
Max Armstrong and Lucy Tyrell were driving to Max’s family home in New Jersey to take his wife Juliette to the hospital, Max and Lucy were in a nearby town reportedly looking to book a surprise trip to Hawaii for Max and Juliette to finally get married.

Max received a phone call from his sister Katie saying that his pregnant fiancée Juliette was in a little bit of pain and needed to be taken to hospital, Max and Lucy then headed into the car and made their way to his Jersey home.
It was 4 miles from his home when the crash happened as a van importing alcohol ran a red light and ploughed straight into the car.

Paramedics arrived on the scene pretty swiftly but it was confirmed that both Max and Lucy were killed on impact. Juliette on the other hand was rushed to hospital and is currently in labour and is expected to give birth to their first child, as we are currently aware she has been told about the accident, we will be the first to give you a full statement when we get it.

I know these words won't be able to bring back these two brilliant people, but I send my best thoughts out to the families. They will go down as legends.

MORE BREAKING NEWS
We have confirmation that Juliette has given birth to a baby boy and is still currently recouperating in hospital, a statement is expected later tonight or tommorow morning.

Fuckin' hell, this has ruined my day. Max Armstrong has long been a big inspiration for me, so hearing that he's gone is absolutely terrible. My thoughts go out to all who knew these two incredible people.

BREAKING NEWS: JULIETTE'S STATEMENT

[The Statement is read out by Juliette's father]
Juliette isn't ready to speak about recent events in public so I'm sure you'll all understand why I'm here reading out this brief statement:

This has been the weirdest day of my life, half of it is filled with pain and sadness and the other half is filled with happiness at becoming a parent for the first time, then I realise that our son will be without a father and I remember how much Max was looking forward to becoming a parent. He was an incredible man and I can’t begin to explain how my life will continue on, I have my family and friends to help me through it but it’s going to be so tough.
On the issue of Junction Records I can say that no decisions have been made over what will happen, once I have time to think about it I will let you all know what is happening but for now I have no idea. Also I have no idea of whether Max’s debut solo album will continue to go ahead, it has been recorded and only the mixing was left to do so we will look at what is best to commemorate a great guy.
I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and ask that the press respect the family of Max and Lucy at this time.

John Johnson: I want to give my condolences, they were both great musicians and I awaited every new release with anticipation. One of a few great bands around. I hope their families are doing okay.

Both Max and Lucy were hugely inspirational to me and the rest of the boys, and we just want to thank them for everything they did for us, and also for everything they did for the world. They will be hugely missed.

BREAKING NEWS:
A joint private funeral will be held in New Jersey for Max Armstrong and Lucy Tyrell on Friday 15th October, family members and friends will be present.
A public memorial will be held for both Max and Lucy in New Jersey, half a mile from his family home, all fans and friends will be welcome to take part and celebrate the lives of both Max and Lucy and remember their legacy.

NEWS UPDATE: Juliette returned to the family home for the first time since Max's death, she was accompanied by her newborn baby boy James Armstrong, Max's sisters Katie and Jennifer and his brother Michael.
