Get the latest information on new music, tour dates, tickets, and the dirt on her private life.BiographyAngelina Marie Arielle Giancana (born December 27, 1988), better known by her stage name of Angelina Arielle a combination of her first name & one of her middle names, is a American recording artist and songwriter. Giancana made her start in the music industry performing in local small clubs throughout the boroughs of New York City. After a failed record deal with Jive Records who dropped her from the label for failed record sales for her debut single “Death On The Dance Floor”, she continued her career as a independent artist touring around the world to spend the word about her music.
Her musical influences are Micheal Jackson, Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Mariah Carey as well as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Christina Aguilera. Her vocals are compare to Gwen Stefani and Kylie Minogue with a dash of R&B flavor. She been writing her own music since the age of 12 drawing from life experiences and her surroundings. Her music is a combination of R&B and Urban Pop with a blend of glam rock which she credits her producer Danny Viscari for helping her gain her sound.Early Life.Angelina Giancana was born on December 27, 1988 to her strict Italian-American family the only child of Alexandra DiLucci and Micheal Giancana, her parents was never married which was looked down upon in their closet knit Staten Island Neighborhood. At the age of 9, Giancana attended Holy Angels Catholic Academy in Brooklyn where her mother was a exotic dancer attempting to make ends meat while her father had abandon the family. Her father went on a marry a wealthy woman in the Upper East Side section of Manhattan and had two more children, leaving Angelina and her mother out in the cold. Her love for music began when she was six years old listening to Mariah Carey's “Vision Of Love”. Giancana began taking parts in school musicals and plays as well as taking dance classes after school. Her teachers said that Giancana wasn't the most well behaved student but she very smart, often getting in trouble for not following the most simple of rules.
At age 15, Giancana began performing at all types of small clubs throughout New York City as a way to make extra cash. Giancana also had regular gigs at her mother's former strip club which was infuriating to her mother who fear her daughter was wasting her talents. Giancana was performing under the name Angie Marie and often used a fake ID to get into over 21 clubs. Giancana was a normal teenager who had a interest in boys and heavy partying but according to her friends her music always had first priority. Giancana turned down a full scholarship at Columbia University to pursue her music career full time.Career.Giancana moved out of her mother's Staten Island home to move in with three friends in a small apartment in Manhattan. She would began booking her own club gigs through her myspace profile, taking gigs all throughout New England. Around this time Giancana caught the eye of a music producer by the name Danny Viscari, who thought Angelina could bring something different to the industry. Viscari offered to help Giancana get a record deal before her 21th birthday which she agreed. They first decided to change Giancana stage name from Angie Marie to Angelina Arielle, a combination of her real first and one of her middle names. Viscari rented out a small studio in The Bronx to began the first stages of Angelina's demo. Viscari also began setting up nationwide tours to promote his new singer hoping that he can gain a fan base before talking to labels. Upon completing her demo, Angelina was ready to shop her demo around to labels. Angelina was turned down from several labels for being “too slutty” and thought her voice was too raspy. Jive Records signed the then-19 year old Angelina to a record deal where she record several songs as well as wrote some songs for their artists. Jive released “Death On The Dance Floor” by Angelina with failed success. Jive then released her from her record deal. New Blog---November 1,2010 Hey Guys, it's time to give you a quick blog on what I've been up too. First of all I will like to thank you guys for supporting "Nobody's Angel" which sold 1.5 million copes worldwide. I'm almost done with the album which I renamed "The Last Girl On Earth" due to the fact the album took a new direction. I'm so proud of the album that my team & I have put together. I'm also heading out west for the next couple of weeks doing gigs in Cali and also I've been offer to do a show at the Pussycat Dolls Lounge in Vegas. I love New York it's my home but something Vegas always appeal to me.
