‘Enigma’ is the debut studio album from American post-hardcore/pop-punk musician ‘Alex Simms’. The album was written entirely by the still relatively unknown musician with additional instrumental help from a couple of session musicians as well as a helping hand with production coming from ‘Riot! In The Boulevard’ lead singer and label owner ‘Amy Meyer’. The album features nine songs that were recorded between April and June 2013 in a recording studio in the musicians hometown of Orlando, Florida and also features the two singles ‘Golden Hearts Shine Forever’ and ‘Dirty Little Heart’ which both achieved relatively quiet and unexpected chart success, both peaking within a top five position as well as becoming a dance-floor staple in various rock clubs around the U.S, noted for their anthemic choruses and rousing guitars.

Early reviews for the album have come from NME and Kerrang, with NME describing the album as "A surprising blend of pop-rock tunes with meaty choruses and unforgettable hooks" and Kerrang stating, "It's a solid debut which will no doubt add to the promising musicians fanbase, it features a host of perfect soundbite lyrics throughout as well as the occasional scream thrown in for good measure! A short but sweet debut in many ways".

The album features nine tracks and includes a collaboration with fellow rock musician ‘Julia Volkova’ on the track ‘We Are Like Vultures’, the collection comes in at just under forty minutes in length and will be released under ‘Songs to Love and Die By’ records on June 16, 2013.

Amy-Jayne - this album sounds great my favorite track is dirty little hearts

Emerald Black - this is genius it's got kinda the same sound that my debut album is going to be like this album is in my must buy like ARRRRRRRR!!!!

Julia: I have to say, work with Alex is like drinking absinth and falling asleep on the backyard without clothes and money, he kind of steals you everything and didn't give you back what you once had so you have no other choice but going after him over and over till you get your stuffs back. LOL. I had a blast doing this!

OOC: haha thanks! It's really not much but I'm glad you're looking forward to reading the words that I typed with my fingers! :P

Alex: Thank you, I didn't know that there was such an expectant fanbase! You should have really prepared yourself better Jennifer, it's like running without stretching first, it's just gonna cause some sort of injury! You should probably have a doctor beside you when you listen to it ... or just listen to it in a hospital, there's always loads of em' wandering around looking busy! Good luck though! :)
