Dominic Brown Live @ Fall Festival 2014
Los Angeles, CA, Hollywood Bowl Amphitheater - October 26, 2014

Moments from going on stage next to perform, Dominic waits backstage for the stage to finish being setup. He was looking over the setlist for the night, not wanting to mess anything up. Tonight's performance would be his biggest performance ever as he was second before the main headliner. He was offered to be the headliner for today but decided that he didn't deserve it as much since he had only one album out. Though he had taken some time off from music, he still had a lot of hype around him which is why he was far from being a rookie in the industry. He wished, however, that he could have stayed around and accomplished so many things since the time he first arrived on the scene but with all that happened he couldn't change that now. In the next couple of months though all that would change as he would be releasing his sophomore album soon to make up for lost time. There was even talk from his management that he could put out two albums in one year but that was just an idea for now. One that he would consider but in the meantime he was more concerned with promoting his upcoming extended play. Tonight he would be performing all the songs from it for the first time and would be able to see the fan's reactions to the new music right there and then. He was a little nervous about that and excited at the same time since he couldn't wait to let them hear it. He hears someone call his name that it's time to go on and comes back to reality, putting his thoughts aside. He starts walking towards where he's suppose to come out and can hear the crowd screaming for him.

The lights dim down and Dominic's DJ begins playing the music for 'Black Heart' over the speakers as Dominic takes the stage. He walks over to the microphone stand and immediately begins singing into the microphone the first verse of the song. His dancers enter from the back just in time as he starts singing the chorus. He lets the crowd take over to sing the words as he leaves the microphone stand and joins his dancers to dance to the choreography. After the chorus is over, Mandy walks out on stage, making a surprise appearance, and begins singing the second verse. Dominic continues dancing along with his dancers as Mandy continues singing. The song comes around to the chorus again and Dominic comes back to the center of the stage and begins singing it. He looks at Mandy, as if he were singing it to her, and he continues on into the bridge. His continue dancing behind him and the crowd cheers as he finishes up the song. Once he's done, the crowd screams real loud for him and Mandy. He smiles and gives her a hug before talking into his mic. "LA, make some noise for Mandy Williams!" The crowd screams louder for her as she waves and makes her way back stage. Dominic goes to speak into the mic again. "Yall ready to turn up?" The crowd screams louder indicating that they were ready to see what he has in store for them next. He smiles and goes to speak again. "Iight DJ drop that beat!"

The DJ begins playing the beat to 'Don't Wait Up' over the speakers and the crowd screams loud, showing how much they love this song. The green and white lights continues to light up the stage. Dominic smiles and begins shaking his head to the beat. He then begins singing the first verse to the song as his dancers stay behind him dancing. Before he goes into the hook, he looks out at the crowd and goes to speak into his microphone. "Let me hear ya sing! Lets go!" Dominic begins singing the chorus into the mic before holding it out to the crowd to indicate to them that he wants to hear them sing it. He continues holding the mic out before bringing it back to his lips to finish out the chorus. He then begins to speak to the audience again. "Kato where you at bro?" The crowd screams louder than they had before, making it clear how much they were happy that Kato was here, as he makes his way out onto the stage. He begins singing the second verse as Dominic stands off to his side dancing and hyping up the crowd. The crowd keeps screaming while Dominic begins singing the hook again with Kato joining him this time. Some of the people in the crowd hold out their phones to take pictures and record videos of the two of them while they keep performing.

The song goes on into the third verse now and Kato begins talking/rapping it. The camera zooms in on some of the girls in the crowd of them saying the words along with him. He finishes out the verse and joins Dominic again in singing the hook. Both of them join the dancers to dance to the choreography as they finish the last of the song together. Dominic speaks into his microphone as he puts his arm around his shoulder and leans on him. "Make some noise for my bro Kato!" The crowd screams really loud all around the amphitheater. Dominic goes to speak again as Kato leaves the stage. "This next song I'm about to do is off my EP that's coming out next month. It's called 'R.U.S.H' and it features my boy Drew Westbrook. I'm only going to sing a snippet of it so you'll have to check out the EP next month to hear Drew's verse. Yall ready though?" The audience screams for him to play the song and the DJ immediately begins to play the beat to 'R.U.S.H' over the speakers. Dominic's dancers leave off the stage, as they aren't needed for this set.

Dominic takes his place in front of the microphone stand again and takes off his jacket, revealing his black wife beater that he was wearing underneath it. He throws the jacket out into the crowd. A couple of girls wrestle over it until one ends up with it in her hand. Dominic smiles as he watches on before he begins to sing the first verse of the song. The crowd hasn't heard this song before and so they just stand there swaying to the beat as they listen to him sing. He belts out each note soulfully as he begins to sing the pre-chorus next. Hearing some of the same words in the pre-chorus from the first verse, some of the girls in the crowd sing along a little. Dominic finishes the last note and goes to sing the chorus now.

He grabs hold of the mic and continues singing the notes, putting his all into them. Once he's done, the beat continues playing and Dominic shakes his head to it. When it ends the crowd cheers and Dominic goes to say something into his mic. "What yall think? You love that?" The crowd cheers indicating that they did and he smiles happy with their positive reaction. He had been nervous about how they would react to the new material but felt relieved now that he got the answer that he was looking for. "Iight now I know yall didn't no the words to this but I bet yall will know this next one." The crowd looks on in excitement, trying to see what song he meant. The beat to 'MEMO' begins playing and the crowd goes crazy.

Dominic grabs the microphone off the stand and walks over to the edge of the stage, looking out at the crowd. He begins singing the first verse of the song. The camera zooms in on people in the crowd, capturing people dancing along to the beat and singing the words of the song with him. Dominic finishes out the first verse and goes into the hook now. Three girl dancers join him on stage now and dance behind him as he continues singing. Dominic smiles and joins the dancers as he sings the chorus. He loved performing this song cause not only was it a fan favorite but it was also one of his favorite songs of his as well, simply cause of the fact that it was for his girl. It always made him feel good whenever he sung it and tonight was no different. He finishes out the chorus and comes back closer to the edge of stage again. One of the girls dancers joins him as well and dances by his side.

Dominic turns to her to sing the second verse before she joins the others again. He now sings the hook and continues off into the chorus yet again. Once he's done, he sings the bridge, putting his all into it as he had before with each song that he performed. As he finishes up, he joins the dancers to dance along with them as he sings. "Let me hear you sing!" he says to the crowd and they begin to sing along with him. Dominic finishes out the song, hitting each and every note before the song comes to an end. The crowd screams really loud, really happy about what he had just sung. He then begins to speak into the microphone again. "LA, let's take it back!" Dominic says to the crowd. Suddenly the beat to 'Dance With You' begins to play over the speakers and the crowd screams. It had been a long time since they heard him sing this song and was excited that he was about to just for them.

Dominic stays at the edge of the stage as one of his dancers bring over the microphone stand over to him, setting it up in front of him, before leaving the stage. He begins to sing the first verse to the song and the crowd sings along with him. A new group of dancers take their place on the stage behind him and begin to dance as Dominic now sings the chorus. He holds the microphone out to the crowd to indicate to them to sing the words. Once the chorus is finish, he holds the microphone up to his mouth to speak. "Make some noise for my girl Izzy!" Izzy walks out on the stage, wearing a sexy all white outfit, with a microphone already in her hand and immediately begins singing verse two. She had performed last night as the headliner but agreed to stick around another night to perform with Dominic on their song together, when he asked a while back if she would be one of his special guest.

She continues singing and the crowd cheers for her, loving that two of their favorites were on stage together right now. Izzy finishes out the rest of the verse before Dominic joins back in to sing the chorus. Izzy joins him and they dance by each other as well, finishing out the song. When the song is over, the beat ends and the crowd starts screaming for them. Dominic holds up the microphone to speak into it. "Izzy was great right?" Izzy takes a bow and waves before walking off the stage, heading backstage, as they scream for her still. Dominic brings the microphone to his lips to speak again. "Iight now that I played something old, lets play something new now. This next song will be my next single and it's called 'Gone.' It features my girl, Liyah. The new single will be dropping soon so look out for that. Hope yall like it. Okay DJ drop the beat!" The beat to 'Gone' begins to play right away.

Dominic stands in front of the microphone stand at the edge of the stage looking out into the crowd. He holds on to the mic as he begins singing the first part to the song. Black and red lights shine down onto the stage as his dancers come out to the center of the stage behind him to do some choreography to the song. The crowd throw their hands into the air, some jumping up and down, as they jam out to the beat, loving how awesome it was. Dominic finishes out the verse before singing the next part of the song. He continues looking around at the crowd as he sings the rest of the song before going into the chorus. He loved this song and couldn't wait to release it as his next single. He continues singing, going into the second verse now. The crowd cheers, loving his voice and the new song. As he goes into the next part, the crowd sings along with him, after learning the words.

He holds the mic out to them to hear them sing the words. He always loved that part about performing cause hearing them sings the words that he wrote to his songs back to him was the best and always made his day. Dominic finishes up the chorus and goes to join his dancers to dance as Liyah walks out on stage to rap her verse. She makes her way to the edge of the stage and continues rapping, getting the crowd pumped up. Just before she finishes, Dominic walks back over to the microphone stand just in time as she finishes her verse. He then begins to sing the chorus again. Liyah stands beside him doing her own thing as he finishes up the song. Once he's done, he hugs Liyah and thanks her for coming out. The crowd cheers and Liyah walks off the stage to head towards the back. Dominic goes to speak into his mic. "What yall think about that song? You like it or nah?" The crowd screams and he smiles. "I'll take that as a yes. Let's keep this thing moving before I run out of time. DJ you know what to do." The DJ begins playing the beat to 'Offer My Pain' over the speakers.

The crowd screams out as they are excited to hear Dominic perform the song as they hadn't heard him perform it since the last time he did with mISTER_b. His dancers leave the stage as this was another one of the sets that they weren't needed for. Black and red lights continue to light up the stage and shine down on him. Dominic stands in front of the microphone stand again and begins to sing the words to the song. It was a very short song but he loved performing it all the same. He continues singing the song as the crowd sings along with him. "LA let me see just how loud yall can get. Throw your hands in the air and let me hear you scream!" He looks out at the crowd, waiting for them to do it. The crowd does as he says and throw their hands up in the air to the beat and scream really loud for him. So loud that he covers his ears a little to protect them from all the loud screams.

Dominic smiles and continues on singing the next part of the song. He then finishes out the song, putting his hands in the air, moving them to the beat as the crowd does. When he's done with the song, the beat plays on until it ends. He then grabs the microphone off the stand and walks over to the center edge of the stage, taking the stand with him. He puts it down to the side of him and looks out at the crowd before speaking into the microphone. "I'm about to perform another song from my EP. It's called '20/20' and I was planning on releasing this one as a single but finally went with 'Gone' instead. Anyway hope yall like this one too. Tell me what you think iight?" Dominic continues looking out at them waiting for them to respond. The crowd screams, ready and excited to hear another song from the EP. They were happy that he was letting them be the first ones to listen to his new EP first.

The DJ starts playing the beat to '20/20' and from the way that it starts off, the crowd can tell that it's going to be another upbeat song that they can dance to. They scream even louder as they wait for Dominic to begin singing. Before he does though, Dominic begins dancing to the beat and brings his hands to the top of his black wife beater, ripping it off. The girls in the crowd scream even louder now as his bare chest is exposed in front of them, showing them his chest tattoos. His dancers make their way back out to begin dancing behind him on the stage. Blue lights light up the stage with white fog falling down on the stage as well. Dominic smiles and grabs the microphone as he begins singing the first verse to the song. The camera zooms in on the crowd again to get their reactions and captures them screaming when the camera lands on them. Dominic can see that his fans were liking this song and smiles as he continues singing the next part of the song. He then joins his dancers to do some choreography with them while he continues singing.

He makes sure to hit each note just perfectly, not wanting to miss a single note and get a bad review for his performance tonight. Doing his best and getting things right, was always on his mind and it got to him whenever he doesn't do as great as he would have liked to. He continues signing the next part now, joining his dancers to do some choreography with them as he loved to showcase his moves since he loved dancing. The crowd begins to pick up on some of the words now and attempt to sing with him now, still missing some words here and there. Dominic finishes out the song until the beat ends. His dancers leave the stage once again and he goes to speak into his microphone. "You ready to here 'Work It Out' now?" he says to the crowd. They scream really loud indicating that they wanted to hear him perform the song. Dominic smiles and goes to say something into the microphone again. "Okay, lets go!" Immediately after the DJ begins playing the beat to 'Work It Out' over the speakers. The crowd screams even louder now, loving this song in particular of his.

Dominic takes his place at the edge of the stage again, as a new set of his dancers make their way out onto the stage now. The blue lights and white fog from before continue to fall onto the stage and Dominic. He continues to hold the microphone in his hand as the beat goes on. Glow sticks had begun to be passed around and the crowd jumps up and down waving them in the air to the beat. Dominic smiles, loving the sight, as he holds the microphone up to his lips and begins signing the first verse. Once he's done and the hook then the beat break comes around he joins his dancers to dance to the choreography. The crowd continues to wave their glow sticks up into the air and jump up and down to the beat. As the beat break finishes out, Dominic comes back to the front to sing the next verse. The camera zooms in on the crowd to capture them singing the words perfectly along with Dominic and having fun dancing beside one another. It was the greatest sight ever and just seeing this really pumped Dominic up more as he kept on performing the verse.

The song now goes into the beat break yet again and he joins his dancers yet again. The crowd continues doing what they had been doing before with the glow sticks. The beat break then ends and Dominic sings the next part of the song before going into the hook yet again. He could tell that the crowd was having the time of their lives right now and that made him happy that his music could do that. It was one of the best parts of singing in front of thousands of fans who adored you. He finishes up the hook and the song goes into the beat break once last time. This time he walks out onto the stage that is connected with the fans and grabs some of their hands. The crowd is excited about this and try to reach for him but security keeps some of them away, trying to protect Dominic. He continues grabbing some of their hands before standing straight up to finish out the song. When he's done, the crowd cheers and Dominic smiles, taking it all in. He holds the microphone up to his lips to speak. "Got another new song for you from the EP. It's called 'Paralyzed' and it's about something that I think yall will understand will well. It's a R&B banger so get ready to turn up iight?" The crowd cheers as the beat to 'Paralyzed' begins to play loudly over the speakers.

Blue lights continue to light up the stage as more white fog comes over the stage behind Dominic. His dancers disappear again and Dominic stands towards the edge of the stage. He begins to sing the first verse to the song as the crowd sways their hands to the beat. He continues singing really giving the song his all as he wanted it to be perfect. This would be his first time ever performing this song live and the first time the crowd heard it. He needed things to go well cause this song meant a lot to him as it came from personal experience. It was a relationship that he had a couple of years ago and at the time when it ended he wanted to put his feelings all out on paper. So he wrote a song describing everything that he felt and he got this song after weeks or writing and recording it. He continues singing the next part of the song, really putting in more feeling into the words that he was saying.

As he sung, he could recall the person that he had experienced this with and how he had let her down in their relationship. He always felt bad about that and for the things that she did to him as well. The crowd cheers louder, breaking him out of his thoughts and back to reality, loving how well he was singing. He smiles and continues out the song before it comes to an end. Once he's done, the crowd screams really loud for him, making him smile yet again. Dominic holds the microphone up to his mouth to speak, as he always did after he finished each song. "Thank you. I got two more songs for yall. This next one you know really well. Mind if I slow it down a little?" He smiles as they scream indicating that they don't mind at all as long as he keeps singing. "Iight here we go. Lets go!" The beat to 'While It Lasted (Last Kiss)' begins to play over the speakers and the crowd screams.

UserPostedImage

The crowd continues screaming as red lights light up the stage with white fog coming down onto the stage. Dominic goes back over to the microphone stand and puts the microphone back into it. He then begins to sing the first verse to the song. The crowd helps him sing as he finishes out the verse and goes into the chorus. The camera zooms in closer on him and sings into it, pretending like he's singing to someone in particular. The ladies go crazy over it, wishing that he was singing to one of them instead. He then goes into the next verse, leaning the microphone stand over as he does. He then takes the mic off the stand and goes to speak into it. "Let me hear you!" He points the mic to the audience to let them sing the words into it together. All around the amphitheater, the words of the song can be heard as they sing together. Dominic brings it back to his lips moments later and continues singing it with them. Once he's done, he sings the bridge now, looking out into the audience as he does. He keeps singing until he goes back to the chorus and finishes out the song.

When he's done, the crowd screams yet again, enjoying the performance from him. He holds the microphone up to his lips to say something. "Okay so this last song is new and comes from my EP. It's called 'Main Attraction' so I'mma need some help from one the ladies. Who wants to come up here and help me out?" The girls in the crowd immediately scream and put their hands up in the air, wanting him to pick them. Dominic smiles as he scans the audience for a girl to bring up on the stage. He continues scanning the crowd for the right one until he finally finds a girl, who was there with her friends, and acts security to bring her up on stage. They help her up and Dominic takes her hand and takes her back with him to the center of the stage. One of his dancers had come out to set down a chair, before leaving the stage again, and Dominic lets her sit down in it. He then holds the microphone up to his mouth to say something again. "Okay, yall ready!" The crowd screams, wanting to hear the new song, as the DJ begins playing the beat to 'Main Attraction' over the speakers.

UserPostedImage

Dominic walks back over to the microphone stand, standing beside it as he looks out into the crowd. He then begins singing the first verse of the song. The crowd sways from side to side to the beat as they look on in excitement of him singing. As the song is about to go into the chorus next, Dominic walks back over to the girl and stands off to the side of her. He begins singing the chorus, looking at only her as he does. The girl looks at him and smiles, putting her hand over her mouth, freaking just a little, as she can't believe that she gets to be on stage with him right now, let along having him sing to her. She takes it all in as he keeps singing to her. Dominic then finishes out the chorus and begins singing the second verse now to only her. Once he's done, he sing the chorus yet again and comes closer to grab her hand. He holds it up and kisses it, making her smile once more. The crowd screams, freaking over what he had just did and wishing it could be them on stage next to him. Their screams get louder and louder as he sings the next part of the song now.

He looks into her eyes as he continues to sing the song. He then lets go of her hand and goes to stand in front of her, leaning over a little until he's real close to her face. The girl smiles and Dominic continues to sing to her as he finishes out the song. Her friends look on in amazement, excited for their friend. He finishes up the last note and as the beat comes to an end he comes closer to kiss her on the cheek. He pulls back moments later as the crowd screams and he pulls her up out of the chair and wraps an arm around her shoulder. He holds his microphone up to say something into it. "I appreciate the love LA! Thank you, hope yall had fun! See ya next time!" He then hugs the girl, takes a picture with her and thanks her for coming up on stage with him before letting security walk her back to the crowd. He waves to the crowd and then walks off the stage heading towards the back.

How would you describe your set for the Fall Festival?
I’m headlining the third day, so there’s a lot of responsibility for me to put on a great show, even though I’m just a DJ. Fans can expect the hits and a lot of progressive house, I’m gonna tear the festival apart with loud beats, good vibes and can’t forget “the energy”.

Are there any other artists you're looking forward to seeing perform?
I’m always in touch with so many artists, because I’m producing and making music for them. I feel like I spend more time in a studio than at home, so I want to watch the friends and new people too. I’m gonna be there at the backstage trying to get a selfie with everyone, no doubt.

What are some of your pre-show rituals and do they change for specific performances?
I don’t have any pre-show rituals, in fact I’m always checking the set list in the computer before I hit the stage. I just performed again in the USA Tomorrowland festival and few minutes before I hit the stage my computer broke, can you imagine my reaction, we managed to find a second computer but I had to re-organize the set during the performance, it was one of the craziest thing to happen with a DJ, don’t let technology dominates you, If I had the song on jockeys, I would not need the computer at all, but whatever.

Can we expect any upcoming music from you before the year is over?
You can expect some new music, but not as mISTER_b. After having talked a lot about a date to release this project we thought that now would be perfect to release it. I told some time ago I was working on a side project of my DJ career with Nate Alexander and a lot of other cool people and guess what? It’s ready to be released, I ‘m so excited about it, It’s an urban conceptual album with a visual elements, so it’s going to be more than a simple album. The first music you’ll hear from this project comes out next month. Don’t expect mISTER_b album until next year, but if you wanna see mISTER_b, then I can say that there’s another world club tour on the way.

Is there a certain song on your set list that you are most looking forward to performing? If so, what and why?
Cannot leave the stage without performing “Recovery”, like really? Will I be able stop performing it?

Do you have any special surprises or guests that we, the audience, can look out for?
I don’t know, well I can’t confirm, but I send some invitations to have some vocal live performances like I did in my last tour, hopefully someone will show up!

It's been an amazing year for you, do you ever just sit back and reflect on everything that's happened?
Don’t think about, just work and work and work and most recently, love. You know I’m dating and so happy for that, Evangeline Wolfe is my lucky charm!

Can you give us any hints as to what your next album will be like or who will be on it?
Like I said, for the next project coming out this November, there’s Nate Alexander, Liyah and Kidd Amazed, all contributed to this project, for next year there’s a lot of people I’m looking forward to work with but then it will be a surprise.

What really made you say, "Okay, I want to be a DJ?"
I found on music a way to overcome the situation I’ve gone through in life. I spend a lot of time suffering with losses and fears and rejection and heartbreaking and music was always a therapy I could use for to not be depressive as mostly people would be if they’ll pass through what I’ve gone through. Electronic music more specifically, is a passion of mine ever since I used to listen to Chemical Brothers, Fat Boy Slim and Depeche Mode after that I started to buy software to program and produce my own music.

And last but not least, do you have any advice to any up and coming DJ's who are at home and watching this festival?
Find an identity, don’t try to incorporate too many genres in your music, you’ll struggle on that, after you found your identity, improve the visual aspects of your music and start playing in whatever club you find it, the most underground to the most luxurious one.

mISTER_b Fall Festival Performance

Drake takes the stage to perform his set as the headliner of the Fall Festival last day, he brought his cabin which looks like a box build of led screen for video projection, laser canons and lots of cannon lights disposed in the stage just to give a very impressive visual aspect to his performance. There’s a big clock projecting through the led screens while the whole stage is dark, suddenly a tick tock melody breaks in and Drake’s silhouette appears, the crowd gets crazy towards the vision, all the lights are lighted and the vocals of “Involuntary Memories” break the tick tock sound, Drake finally can be seen. He’s smiling waving his hand above his head while the other hand controls the turntables, he has headphones in his shoulders. When the beats break in smoke of dry ice covers the crowd, everyone starts to jump as the beats are fast and loud, Drake jump as well, waving his hand proroguing the crowd to do the same, a sea of mobiles are up in the air to film his performance. The clock in the projection turns to random images with psychedelic colors. The sogng is quite short but the beats are loud and fast and it gets fast till the song is slowed down, so the crowd could catch the breathe, right away Drake starts to play with the programmer, releasing low electronic beats and so he starts to increase the volume and the tempo of the track again. Other elements are join in the section and the whole song culminates to the next track “Atlas”, right away Cinzia Ricci’s vocals are heard and the projection changes to the outer space and stars dancing in the vacuum. The whole song gets faster and faster and so the beats resumed and the whole crowd starts to jump again, the two first tracks almost sound as if they were one themselves. The beats are look alike, but drake mixes them with complextro beats, often flirting with dubstep and coming back to progressive house, there is piano setting a melodic feeling on the background of the track. Smoke is thrown away above the crowd’s head; Drake seems really excited and happy to be playing his set for the crazy people who were there to watch him. The beats are unstoppable, after “Atlas” he meds the dubstep hit single of ElectroDeath final album “Don’t Give a Fuck!” the crowd immediately recognized the track and so the excitement is wider than before. The sound is loud but clean as well, there’s no distortion, Drake is known for keeping the BPM of the song really fast but he also keeps under control the distortion of the sound. Well he’s a producer the Projection for this track are a lot of atomic bombs exploding in different colors it has a 3D effect, as the bombs explode, clocks are thrown away to everywhere. After sometime keeping the beats at high levels, he lowers the volume and slow down the BPM of the track to have a small chat with the insane crowd.

“How are you guys doing outthere” For a DJ set Drake has some cool catch breathe moment during his set, but the beats are nonstop he talks again “I’m so glad to be here, let’s fuck this thing up!”

Coming right quickly comes another complextro track “The Reason Why”; it starts slow and melodic, but suddenly as Kourney’s vocals gets louder the beats get faster and it explodes into a fast disturbing breakdown, the crowd is amazed by the powerful performance of the DJ. A kit of canon lasers adds an extra visual element to the moment, they form a square above the crowd heads it goes down to their body and it raises again. Drake eaves his hand, jumps and interacts all the time with the jumping crowd. The sight of his cabin is insanely exciting, people jump as if they were only one body, they’re so tight next to each other, a sold out arena. The track abruptly ends but only two seconds are left without beats and another ElectroDeath old track “It’s Insanity” breaks in, this is one of Drake’s signature track, he always plays it on his sets and his fans knows that, they raise posters with phrases like “You drive me INSANE mISTER_b”. Drake notices some of the posters, he is amused by the energy of the audience, it’s really incredible. He drinks some beer as he plays his set, at some point the track progressively grows as it was slowdown, Drake keeps the progressive beats keeping the anticipation of the crowd who was waiting the turn of the track to its breakdown, when he releases the breakdown, it’s another insane moment, smoke is thrown away again. Fireworks increase the stunning visual of the projection, lasers lights everywhere of the arena. Drake keeps the base drum sequence of the track as he beings to incorporate elements of the next song; people start to notice the elements he adds subtle. When it finally resumes to another catch breathe moment of ambient sound and Magie’s vocals is heard, the track “Anything but me” is played. This is a more melodic track, there are some long catch breathe moments, with ambient sounds and house oriented beats. However, the heat of the performance is still boiling, Drake doesn’t let the vibe slows down. The visual elements, images of different places interchanging in the led panels keep the crowd hypnotized by the intensity of the track, as he switches the beats of the track with another vocal performance, this time by Serenity Scott, the crowd cheers, they know it’s the spiritual “Sunglasses”. There’s a moment of pure connection between the crowd singing along the pre-recorded vocals while Drake induces them to raise their hands and feel the air above their head, which certainly is colder than the air in middle of them.

The full sound of “Sunglasses” give space to a brand new track Drake did with Isabel and when the crowd hear the undeniable timber of the superstar, they think at first that the track is Recovery, but in fact is “One More Time” featured on her newly released album. Drake remixed this track adding other elements than the progressive house of its original version, he mixed it with excerpts of David’s Guetta re-edition of “Shot me Down”, it’s another signature in his set list, remix songs with other DJs tracks. The visual shows the clocks again, this time their hands are being accelerate as other scenes of cities in fast tempo are showed, blue lights sets a relaxing sensation during the moment, at the end of the track Drake gets his microphone and sing the final verse of the track with distortion on his voice. Right after the track, he keeps a basic progressive house melody playing for a few seconds as he goes increasing it slowly keeping the crowd in questioning of what song he would put in his set this time. Some aid fans noticed it’s the smash hot “The Energy”, the lights are all turned to red, the exciting is increasing as he goes adding elements of the original track to his base sound, before he releases the vocals of the track, he grabs his microphone to say a few words.

“Are you feeling?” the crowd insanely screams “I SAID ARE YOU GUYS FUCKING FEELING IT!” the crowd scream louder “That’s better, we have a special guest to sing this song live for us! Give it up for Billy Khan!”

Billy enters the cabin next to Drake singing the first verse of the track, the excitement is no doubt, vibrating, exciting, insane and disturbing, as Billy sings the number one hit, Drake holds the breakdown and when he releases it, everyone jumps. Both Billy and Drake jump as well, wave their hands, silver paper falls above the crowd head, smoke is also another element used in the moment, the cannon lasers form a triangle this time, the imagery in the projection is a vortex. Billy sings two verses of the track when he finishes the second one; he greets Drake for the moment and leaves the cabin. Drake has the crowd insanely jumping to the loud beats of the track, but the next song will bring everyone together. As he cleans the base house beats off “The energy” he keeps on adding some very familiar melodies to the sequence, he then slows down the sound, holds the silence for 3 seconds and releases the piano riff of “Recovery”. The signature music video is showed in the led screen, but it is distorted, Isabel’s vocals are heard right away and a choir can be heard in the arena. The lights are blue once again, Isabel keeps appearing on the screens and the crowd gets excited as Drake takes the track o its breakdown. Drake remixed the track with excerpts of another DJ’s song, this time the track “How we do” from Hardwell, it keeps the vibe up and the tempo faster than the original version of the track. Drake is all smiles when the crowd sing along the lines of the track, everyone seems to know the hit track.

It was time for drake slow down things before his fans had a heart attack, he slows down the tempo of the beats and it gets to another piano melody, this time the heartbreaking track “Offer my pain”, Drake remixes this track as well, but the first half of it its exactly the same of the record. Until it gets to the breakdown and he switch the beats to another DJ’s track, this time “Wizard” from Martin Garrix, the match is perfect, the pitch is on time. “Offer my pain” increases its tempo so fast before the breakdown that it could match to any other breakdown melody. Drake doesn’t resume the track to its original version, yet he keeps Martin Garrix exciting “Wizard” fully playing. The lights are white and yellow, paper falls down and geometric form transformed of clocks are showed on the led screens, the lasers this time projects a sphere in front of the stage, the visual is very impressive. Now comes the time to Drake takes his set to a nonstop house sequence, he connects “Wizard” to one of his free style track entitled “lapse of time” during this performance he controls the turntable as he feels to do it. It sounds a lot industrial and progressive, but it has not a regular structure, Drake uses different elements on it, such as real drums, keyboard riffs and electro beats, it keeps the crowd in ecstasy. Visually geometric forms are projected in front of the stage, taking the mood to frenetically ecstasy, Drakes interacts a lot with the crowd from his cabin, by sometimes holding the melodies for seconds, waiting them to ask him more, he is literally taking all of the poor people dancing to his non-stop free style. After almost 8 minutes without vocals, he seems to switch the kit of elements he was using, but yet he keeps his free style, this time with the name of “Pulsing”, this elements he is mixing are more groove oriented and there’s wobbler effects also, so it has a more progressive house orientation. It’s another five minutes of pure electronic music, no vocals but pulsating beats and disturbing wobbler effects. Drake takes his audience to the limit of their physical state, when he realizes that they are hypnotized by the progressive beats, he switches the sound, and he slows down the beats and introduces a short version of “Whatever the time”. With that being done, the set list receives amore ambient treat, it’s more relaxing and easy than he exhausting loud beats he was playing before. Smart of the DJ, he manages to keep his audience interested and also his set fresh and rejuvenated, right after the short version of “Whatever the Time” he low the volume to talk with his fans again.

“Are you guys alive?” the crowd responds with screams and claps “Fine, give a warm welcome to Kato!”

Kato joins Drake in his cabin just as Billy did, he’s warm welcomed by the crowd, Drake is playing the introduction melody of the track “Rising Tide” when he releases the melodies so Kato could sing the verses of the track. Visually there’s an ocean on the led screen and the crowd it’s so amused by the superstar visit and live vocals, the mood is incredibly relaxing and sweet, both Drake and Kato step over the turntable, the crowd goes insane with that move, they’re held by two bodyguards and Kato finishes his vocals over the turntable. When he is done singing, he greet Drake and leaves waving to the crowd, Drake already adds elements for the next track in the set, this time the recently released number one hit “Forever the Same”. He once again remixes Nova’s vocals to Kaskades’ move for me, to keep the sweet sound he introduced after his non-top free styling. The track is well received, the crowd sing along and enjoys the calmly sensation that the melodies of this track transmits. In that sweet vibe, after Nova’s vocals, Drake lower the volume once again to call another very special guest.

“Are you guys with your lovers out there?” the crowd answers back with a big yes “I wanna invite my girl to the stage now!” Evangeline join the cabin with him, first they share a kiss the crowd cheers to the kiss, Evangeline is shy but she seem to like Drake as much as he likes her. He grabs the microphone once again “I’m so happy to be with you tonight and even happier to have Evageline by my side, the next track is also the last one of my set. Thank you so much for coming to watch me, I’ll see you really soon, the track is called “Livin’ da life and it belongs to a side project I’m releasing next month, so if you enjoy it support it! PEACE!”

Evangeline doesn’t sing the track, in fact the voice of the track belong to Nate Alexander, but Evangeline keeps next to Drake the rest of his performance. They look so happy together, he holds her and shakes her shoulders to the rhythm of the song being players, she laughs and kisses him on his cheeks, the chemistry is beautiful. The last track is a deep house track, the BPM is low and the melodies are slower than the progressive house tracks that dominates the set. The sound is very groove and danceable, just as deep house is, Nate Alexander has a relaxing timber, some effects of pitch is added to his voice, making him sound lower than usual at some points, the track also has elements that are being added to its base melody as it grows progressively. Drake resumes the regular beat of the track when it might’ve sound repetitive, it’s quite long and also served to slow down the vibe of the vibrating set. The crowd could relax and decelerate. Four minutes inside the track it seems to be slowed down to an end, but Drake resumes it back to its danceable beats, Nate Alexander keeps repeating five phrases throughout it, but they change according to certain times when some elements of are being added, it talks about living a very good life. Drake ends the performance with an ambient sound putting an end of his massively loud beats, he kisses Evangeline once again and waves goodbye to the crowd.

Thanks to everyone who participated, I mean wrote a RP or setlist and interviews. I really worked hard to put this together and it was great to see other people working hard as well :) It turned out great for my first festival and maybe I'll continue it next year.

Special s/o to Scott for helping with interviews. I didn't think that many people would want one lol but thanks for helping me even when you were on your break :)
