This collection of songs serves as a tie-over while her fans wait for her sophomore album which she is currently in the process of writing and recording. This E.P features mostly songs recorded when she first debuted in the industry with “Raising Hell”, “Brooklyn Tonight” and “Raising Hell and Amazing Grace” all planned for her debut album back in 2012. That record never saw the light of day and those three songs were scrapped. She has also included tracks “Amelie” and “My Poison Ivy Lips” in the collection, those two songs were written during that same period in 2012 but were actually included on her debut album but were also included in this collection due to the fact that she wanted to keep those songs together as they were meant to be. One final inclusion in this collection is her latest single, “Bulletproof Barbie” which is completely separate from the other songs in this collection in as much as it was written five years later for this new era of her career and that track will be included in her sophomore album and is included on this one in order to showcase the artist we have now, compared to the artist we would have had if she hadn't disappeared from the industry for so long. Kara had the following to say about this collection, “I always wanted to put out these songs together because people always ask me why I suddenly vanished from the business and I've always said that it was the best thing. Back then, I had no idea who I was. My aim was to make catchy pop songs with RnB vibes which was alright but it just never fully connected with me. I had so much aggression from over the years and this soft soulful vibe just was never gonna connect with me. I needed to write about my experiences and I felt like the tone of what I wanted to say fit better with that aggressive rap style. Growing up, I was not a pop kid, I was not a top forty kid. I grew up on Classic Rock and then into my teens a lot of underground rap and hip-hop music and I think the time away helped me figure things out in a way that was vital to me really kicking my career into full gear..” This E.P is released on April 30, 2017 and was produced by Kara Romero, TJ Cousins and Nevaeh Martinez at Basement Studios in Brooklyn, New York and will be distributed through 'Just Record'.
