Prior to release of "Goodbye" New Zealand singer Aubrey release her debut single "Indian Summer" & manages to peak at number 9 at Top 20 charts making her as the rising star, she also had her song from her upcoming album used for High Roller movie. She release her next single "Make You Move" & peaked to number 4 on the charts & it became her highest single to date. She wanted Goodbye to be her next single after discuss about her next move. She secretly quiet from social media after she made a deal that she is not finna be on social media until she got her new single. Soon after that she got back on social media after she found the song for her next single. The song was written by MNEK & produced by Cutfather. Goodbye is about after two argue it went from work it out to breakup after he dump her over some important stuff, she try to move but it kinda like she denies on some stuff that she say so she doesn't want him to leave without saying goodbye but in secretly she doesn't want to say goodbye.
