We have all been through a lot during the last two years. I wanted to create an album that is about reaching a breakthrough. I want us all to dance and rejoice. This album is a celebration of a woman overcoming her hardships. I have battled anxiety and depression for years and this album reflects my journey in battling it and overcoming it. It is a battle that I will always deal with. However, people ask me all the time “Tisha where’s the album?” “Why such a big gap between albums?” The answer is, I’ve given my fans and the world my all since I was sixteen. I never took time to take care of my mental health and I vowed after my last record that I would and it was a five year process. This is my first album where I can honestly say it is all about me. This is the true essence of Tisha. Nevermind the fancy outfits, the glamor, the drama, the toxic relationships, all that is out the window. That chapter is done. I have finally entered a new era in my life where I am choosing my peace and my happiness. I am owning all of my faults and holding myself accountable. This album is about a girl who is on fire. Great to see another album from you. It had been a while! The fact that you wrote and pieced all this together in like the span of 3 days is insane! Envious of that work rate! Just want to say that you've done fantastic work on this album. Between the well-crafted lyrics and specially selected sounds attached, it seems like a very tight and cohesive project despite it being a fictional album. Can really imagine the sonics. A lot of soul, attitude and character running throughout the body of work. Another quintessential 'Tisha' record. Excellent work!
