Kara finishes up the latest rehearsals ahead of the opening night of her first ever headlining world tour on Saturday. The entire crew for the tour and the supporting acts have all spent this final week at rehearsals in a huge warehouse in New York City in order to get the final details of their show fine tuned and ready for the opening night. Kara is joined on the North American leg of the tour by Faustus De León, Keshia Love and Marina Balan as her special guest opening acts. Kara’s touring party includes her tour manager ‘Ignacio Santos’, backing vocalists and onstage DJ ‘Augustine Francis’ who will essentially provide the role as backing band from behind his electronic booth in order to provide the music and beats for her own set, these are all close personal friends of Kara’s.

Kara: Babe, you can fuck around with the music as much as you want. As long as the tempo is the same as on the records then I can go with it.

Augustine: I’m with you on that, just need to find the gaps to stretch the tracks out a little for you to add your off-script shit in. You know this would be a whole lot easier if you’d just keep it the same each night. Fuckin’ artists.

As Augustine jokingly muttered the phrase ‘Fuckin’ artists’ under his breath, Kara winked at him playfully and stuck both her fingers up at him before walking away from the staging area towards the exit doors at the back of the warehouse. She was someone that could be described as fiery and confrontational when she needed to be, but for the most part she was generally pretty easy-going and placid. However, this final week of getting everything in place for the tour was starting to become slightly tedious and a little stressful to her. She pushed open the exit doors to the parking lot and stood outside, leaning against the wall she took a deep breath and exhaled slowly in order to bring her stress levels down slightly. She fumbled around in her jacket pocket for a couple of seconds and pulled out a packet of cigarettes, placing one between her lips before lighting it and taking a few quiet moments for herself.
