I really like Rock Band 3. If you discount the keyboard (which is really plays just like guitar on regular mode) and the pro mode settings the core gameplay is exactly the same. What has changed is subtle interface stuff that I love. They have fused career mode into the entire game, stuff you do in quick play can achieve career goals, which is nice. They have also (mostly out of necessity because of the massive setlist) made huge improvements to the song selection and sorting system. Instead of general filters like decade, artist name, song name, genre and so forth you can now mix and match a bunch of filters. If you want to find all the songs that are from the '60s and '90s, with artists whose name begins with D and that are of moderate difficulty you can.

Back again!

Currently playing:

TEW -
Total Extreme Wrestling, you work as a booker for a Wrestling company and I have this really nice MOD called i-Domination where the WWF/WWE never took off, instead the NWA kept control and spread all over the world, meaning for example that the ECW is a much more respectable (although not as fun) organization as it is/was RL.

It's PC exclusive. Actually, it may work on Mac OS, I have no idea.

BF1942 was brilliant! Had some good times on there. And i also agree, Fallout is one of the greatest franchises. The last 2 we're brilliant, actually preferred New Vegas to the 3rd one.

I kinda got bored of video games. I played them a lot when i was 15-16 avidly, was in a clan for CoD4 etc. Kinda moved on then, discovered alcohol. But at the minute im playing Metro 2033 on the PC. Just bought it and its proper good.

Also looking to buy Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Supposedly the scariest game on the century..

cant say i have ever played any cod games.my dad loves them. he is actually who got me into battlefield back when 42 was still sort of current. im terrible at it,and rarely have a positive kdr. but its a hoot.

i agree with new vegas being the better one.fallout 3 is super lame without broken steel. but one thing 3 has that i love is the wow factor. i love how everything is just blown to hell and back.

Yeah thats awesome. The sandbox factor and non-linear storyline is the real plus for Fallout. I love the wasteland, just far more to do and stuff in New Vegas. Hopefully there will be a new one now that this Skyrim wank is finally out.

Pretty sure TEW is PC-Exclusive, but the kicker is TEW 05 is completely free.

The Skyrim wank isn't over yet McKenzie_. I used to feel impartial to it but then I took an arrow to the knee.

CoD vs. BF3 -

I'm moreso for CoD but I'm a single-player gamer 9 times out of 10 and Battlefield 3's Campaign was so awful I can't think of an analogy. CoD had more build-up though, and for as long as I can remember their campaigns have delivered.

On an unrelated note, I pre-ordered a game a few days ago that comes out on my birthday. I used to play it's older versions a lot as a child with my dad, and so I'm quite looking forward too it. I'm scared it won't be all that great though...what do you think about the new Twisted Metal?

Im an FM addict lol. In FM 2010, on the same game, I won the Champs League six times as Celtic with legendary uber defensive tactics and fast wingers, and the world cup as Ivory Coast and England.

That is pretty impressive haha, on FM08 I got as far as 2028-29 season, none of the players were real anymore haha, I won the champions league with Middlesbrough twice, and one of them seasons I won every single game, I won it with a manhester united side that I had to get promoted into the premier league, and I got Bolton to finish 2nd in the prem.

Such a good game :')

I took Invergordon in a custom database from the 7th (I think) tier of the Scottish league all the way to the QFs of the Champions League by 2024 in FM11. That was the best game I'd ever had in FM. Stelios Stratis, Mauricio Theiler, so many top, top quality players we had.

Sadly this year I'm not feeling it at all though.

Ive gotten the FM games for probably the past 4 or 5 years. Love the series.

This years is a little, well, meh. It's just basically the same as last year, not too much updates. But still, I love the games! Had some interesting saves too, I lvoe playing with Dortmund, Stade Rennais, Napoli or Brighten. Really fun teams to manage.

Although, I still pledge allegiance to my beloved Everton. Although their financial restriction is tough to overcome.
