BIOGRAPHY
Jenny Hudson was born on 17th June 1991 in Mountain View, Arkansas which is a small town with around 3,000 population. Her mother was an events organizer and her father was a farmer, which led to Jenny’s love of animals. Jenny wasn’t hugely popular at school which led to her learning to play an instrument, initially she learned to play the Piano and Keyboards but she soon started learning guitar. She spent most of her free time walking around the quiet streets and she spent a lot of her teen years down at the river bank. She is also a singer-songwriter and plans to become a solo artist in the future.
She moved to New York in October 2009 and struggled to find work and keep her apartment, She auditioned for Lucy Tyrell and Greg Walls at Junction Records but wasn’t signed. Lucy Tyrell kept in touch with Jenny because she thought she was still quite talented, she then offered Jenny the chance to stay with her until she could afford her own place and helped Jenny develop which led to her being offered the chance to tour with 4th Street Band.

Jenny Hudson is an American Singer-Songwriter, Guitarist and Piano player. She’s set to tour with one of the top rock bands in the country in 4th Street Band and she lives in Manhattan with Lucy Tyrell a fellow musician. She grew up in a small town called Mountain View and she lived a pretty sheltered life there. “It wasn’t a party town like LA, It’s a very simple place to live, you know the kind, front porches and quiet streets.” She’s never seemed like she would become a member of a touring rock band, “I spent most of my youth in my room or down by the river bank reading a book or playing guitar, I was kind of a loner, I had friends but I was never hugely popular, I never went to parties or drank alcohol when I was in my teens, I just did what made me happy, I wrote songs, that’s what kept me sane, and as soon as I realised that I was never going to become famous living in Mountain View, I planned to move to a big city and New York was the first on my mind, I come from a pretty privileged family so that helped me finance a move to New York but I struggled initially.”

She’s recently been announced as a member of rock act 4th Street Band but she doesn’t posses any rock credentials, “It was a risk for Max to offer me a place in the band because their fans are very passionate and he knew they wouldn’t like a new member, they would have wanted it to stay the way it was but I’m in and the fans seem cool with that. I know I don’t have anything to do with rock music generally, I can play electric guitar but I’m not going to be busting out solo’s like Slash. I’ll be mainly playing Piano or Keyboards on tour because I’m more comfortable with that.” She has a few future plans, “I want to be seen as a solo singer-songwriter in the future and I want to release a solo album in the next two years, It won’t be rock music, it’s going to be pop music. I know pop music gets a bad reputation quite a bit but it’s not going to be all dance routines and auto tune, I won’t be having anything to do with those elements, It’s going to be me playing the guitar or the piano, singing, that’s basically it, I’m not a performing seal, I won’t do anything I’m uncomfortable with.”.

She recently went on holiday to Spain which was an experience, “I can’t begin to explain how amazing my time in Spain was, I just love their lifestyle, I’ll definitely be going back, I’d even consider moving there at some point in the future, It’s a really beautiful country.” She’s still currently single but she has had a bit of interest recently, “It’s like you join a rock band and you get offers straight away, Last year I was struggling to get known and I was single for most of the year, but now since I joined the 4th Street Band, I’ve had more offers in a couple of months than I’ve had in my life, I’m not going to jump into a relationship just because some people are interested, I’m like most young girls living in New York, I’m just trying to find my way, find a great guy, a cool apartment and have an awesome career, I’ve got my friends to see me through the lonely periods of my life and things are going really well for me right now.”

"I returned to New York on Friday after visiting various cities wih my new band members in 4th Street Band, on Monday and Tuesday we were in LA which was a very scary city for me, I got to meet up with my friend Rachel which was good but the city was far too sleazy for me, I was at a club with the 4th Street Band members on Monday and I was propositioned three times to go to the bathroom to do drugs and have sex with these guys which freaked me out a bit, needless to say I didn't join them, I'm still new to the rock lifestyle. On Tuesday I got the chance to perform my first solo performance since being signed by Junction Records, I was accompanied by an acoutic guitar player called James who was really funny, and I may be performing more in the next couple of weeks with James in New York which is something I'm looking forward to. I'm also going to release a single sometime in July called Won't Back Down. so I'm also looking forward to that. When I get more information I'll let you know, goodbye for now x"
