BIOGRAPHYStacey Walton is a London Born singer-songwriter/guitarist. She was born on 21st January 1992. She’s a 19 year old rock chick who started out touring small clubs in the UK and April 2010 she caught the interest of producer/guitarist Danny Allen. She had only been active for 11 months and her first gig was with an all girl punk band called Red Rose, they toured the UK in support of a pretty small band in early 2009 and gained a very small following. She decided to leave Red Rose and try going solo in early 2010. She auditioned for Junction Records but made a mess of her audition and remained unsigned until the Indie record label GrungeScornRecords signed her. She started touring as a support act in Mid 2010 and gained a following and heavy praise for her live performances. In August 2010 she completed recording of her debut album The Sun Always Rises and she released her debut single A Tender Kiss which initially peaked at #34 in the UK. Two weeks after the release of A Tender Kiss it suddenly started to gain interest and re-charted at #2 on the Top20 chart and became on of the most popular songs of 2010. She then released follow up single English Girls Are Easy 11 days before the release of her debut album and it peaked at #4 on the Top20 chart and proved that her debut effort was not a one-off. The success of both single generated interest in her debut album which was released on September 25, 2010 and entered the UK album charts at #7 and stayed there for almost 3 months. She continued to tour heavily in 2010 and continued to be praised heavily for her live performances. In October she released her 3rd single, a promo single from her Download only E.P which featured Jason Smith of Mind on Guitar, the song was called Sex Kitten (Make Me Purr) and it peaked at #2 creating yet another hit single from the newcomer. She continued to tour throughout November and December 2010 and decided to take some time off in the new year. In 2010 she was considered by many critics as the best newcomer and one of the best female solo artists. On January 20, 2011 her debut album The Sun Always Rises re-charted and went straight to number 1 on the Chart Heat album charts a day before her 19th birthday, what a perfect birthday present. On February 6, 2011 she released her 4th single, Don't Look Back.PERSONAL LIFEThis is what she had to say about herself, “I’m a pretty basic London girl really, I was brought up on punk music and it’s sort of stuck with me, The Pretenders and The Clash were fucking huge in our house growing up. Then when I got older I started getting into mainstream rock music and became a huge fan of the likes of Guns N Roses and Aerosmith. I’m sort of obsessed with Steven Tyler, his stage presence is crazy, I sort of model myself of that kind of frontman, I’d say my main influences in my live performances are Steven Tyler and Blondie. I’m pretty in your face to be honest, I have huge respect for people in the business, I admire musicians from all genre‘s, I‘m pretty open minded but my preference is Rock music. I don’t mind speaking my mind, If I feel something needs to be said I’ll say it. I’m never gonna be a Miss Vanity or a Stephanie Fierce type of giant in music. I know my limitations and I could never achieve what they’ve achieved and continue to achieve in their careers, I’ll stick to my 3-chord punk rock and I’ll be happy with a top 100 album. Like I say I respect musicians from all genre’s and there’s people who I dream of meeting, people who I think are a credit to the industry, people like, Reckoner, The Voyd, Quarantine, The Bards, Infinite, Miss Vanity, PANIC!, Stephanie Fierce, Failed Youth, Live Youth and so many more amazing acts. All in all I’m just a big music fan who has the greatest job in the world and I’m grateful. I might go crazy and totally fuck up my career but that would be down to me, I hope I don‘t but I have a habit of ruining a good thing.” DiscographyStudio AlbumsThe Sun Always Rises (September 25, 2010) [#7, UK] [#1, Chart Heat]EP'sMe And My Friends (Make Sweet Music) (Download Only - January 2011)SinglesA Tender Kiss (August 8, 2010) [#2, Top20] English Girls Are Easy (September 14, 2010) [#4, Top20] Sex Kitten (Make Me Purrr) [Feat.
