Under The August MoonSometimes Love can be a dangerous thingGenre: Drama/Romance Rating: PG:13 RELEASE DATE: 9/17/10 John Gray is a reclusive rock star who decides to move back to his small home town in Nebraska to get away from the wildfire of fame. When he arrives home, he is greeted by his old friends, who all but one, are jealous and hostile against Gray for leaving them behind. When things looks grim for Gray, he finds solace in his old friend, Sarah Young. Together Sarah and Gray develop a strong relationship together under the August moon. But things don't stay good for long. Gray finds himself a target for his angry young friends who try to make his life a living hell. Together John Gray & Sarah Young try to keep love alive as Gray is tested and pressured by his old friends who eventually start a drunken brawl at a bar and severely hurt Sarah Young. In a fit of rage, Gray almost kills his old friend. In the end John Gray decides to leave town and return to the big city lights, without telling Sarah Young goodbye. Listen, being a coke addict and an alcoholic isn't the greatest thing when you are trying to direct a movie. But I have gotten undeway with the final steps of pre production. Last night Cristian Lake and Joey Young and I rehearsed the final confrontation scene in the movie. Let me tell you we have this awesome bar room fight that is simply brutal. It almost grosses the dramatic genre into the action but we level it out so it mixes the two.
It's no secret that this film was inspired by the my sweet love Ms. Lake. And it was no surprise that she is gonna nail this role. I been hearing alot of bs from film critics saying that musicans need to stop making movies....well assholes she's an actress before she was a musician, so suck on that.
Anyways we got a solid 20 days of shooting to do and I mapped out all the shots so that we can cut that in have. This is a Indie film with a budget from my pocket that ranges from the 4-5 million dollar mark. Can't wait to start rolling film!
Before I go and battle my coke nose, I must say that my retirement appears to be shorter then expected because it looks like I will be fronting The 4th Street Band in October. Greatest news since I learned about Sex. |

Filming starts today! We will be shooting all the principle actors today.
We will be shooting scenes 10A through 21B. Which is the MC coming home! Good luck and lets kill it out their folks!

Well tomorrow is the lat day of filming! We finished this film in just 8 days! I am blessed to have such a great crew and amazing talent! Tomorrow we will be shooting 6 second unit shots and we will be shooting the BIG scene where Cristina's character tries to intervene when her ex boyfriend tries to kick the shit out of me! shall be awesome!
Oh and we have already been constructing a trailer! |
