As I write this I look back on how my life has changed in the past few years. I've helped write 3 albums and just finished recording a solo album. When I recorded my solo album I kept most of it with just me and a guitar. The reason for that is that the only group of musicians I could think of making an all out rock album with is the group I already had with Reported Failure. With recording complete and the release of my album just around the corner I still feel a drive to create a great album with Reported Failure. So I think it only fair to talk straight and tell you that at this moment I'm sitting in a starbucks in the bay area as I take a break from my drive back home to begin working on the new Reported Failure album.

I want to search for that next level of creativity and innovation on this album. It will be absolutely fantastic to work with Vin, Matt, and Adam again. We've been throwing some bleak ideas around by phone, email, skype, and all that stuff. One think we are all in agreement on is that we want to make an album that will break all assumptions about our band. We want to make an album that will not only be our best but we want people to remember it.

As a band we've always ignored anyone who's attitude was to put us down put us down.In this business most people wont like your music. I think we've always stayed true to our ideas and pulled through even when we've taken heat for it. We make statements with our albums. I like to think that when we do something we try to go big with it. We have a few big ideas. One in particular that I think we are leaning towards. It is a more literal, non metaphoric statement compared to our previous albums.

I can't judge on what the album might sound like until we really get into writing. Once we finish writing an album, though, we usually get everything else done within a few weeks. Once we have something finished we see no need to stall the release, and we usually finish recording rather quickly. We're going to put as much time into this album as we need to to make it what we want.

The hiatus is over. Reported Failure is back. Bring on the music!

Stacey: I only recently discovered Reported Failure's music and I've been devouring your back catalogue, I'd love to catch a Reported Failure show and I can't wait to hear the new album from you guys.
