Message from Alex Leuiso’s tumblr account:

“I’m proud to announce that my latest musical project is to be officially announced under the name of Lights Go Red. I’ll be working with close friend Kieran Marks. The music which we are going to be writing is… different from what you would normally expect from me. It’s going to be the start of something which we each hope you’ll enjoy. I’m not giving many details away now, other than it’s a very experimental.

You’ll be hearing some sound clips soon, stay tuned for updates.
- Alex”

Warped Tour dates announced:

We have been informed that Warped Tour will be from the 1st December 2010 till 25th January 2011, across the US. Details on where each date is being played are listed here on the Warped Tour website. We are not aware of which stage we will be playing on yet, but you will be informed when we find out ourselves. We are looking forward to playing songs that no-one will have heard till these dates, but we are still going to be releasing an EP which is in production before leaving for this amazing tour.

Warped tour stage announced, Record label:

We have been conformed as playing on the Main Stage for everyday on the Warped Tour! This means that we will be playing with bands such as Chimera and Infinite who are both amazing bands. We are still unsure of what time we will be playing each day, but we assure you that you will be told before the tour begins. In other news we have been signed to the amazing Shooting Star Records, and are glad that they showed an interest in us. This means that tracks will be released sooner than we expected, so keep watch on the site for any news

We're glad to have some sort of fan base before officially releasing any of our music! It's not hard to be in a band like this, you just experiment between two genres and hope for the best. That's what we're doing with Rising Under The Sun. I'll be sure to send you the demo tracks!

General Update

We released Rising Under The Sun yesterday and already a fair few people have bought it. We hope you like what we are doing musically, and continue to see us. US fans, you'll be the first people to see us play live on the Warped Tour 2010. The setlist has almost be finished, and we think you'll love it. There are going to be songs that we'll be added to our debut album, as well as a few covers of some of our biggest influences. Recording for the album has been occouring since we started recording for the EP, and could be finished before we leave for Warped Tour at the end of this week.

Producer wanted

We are looking for someone to help us with the prouduction of our debut album. Although we have already recorded material, the majority of it is being scraped because after re-listening to it, we have found that it will not suit how the direction in which we are planning on going. Our new material is going to be far different from the Rising Under The Sun EP, and we would like a producer to work alongside us to achieve this. If anyone is interested please tell us, and we'll take you into consideration.

I've been working as a producer for a while now, so there's quite a bit of experience under my belt. I'd be honored to work with you guys as a producer, if you're interested!

-Eric Quillington
Kid Anything- Indie/Britpop/Shoegaze; influenced by Sigur Ros, XXYYXX, Kanye West, Blur, Oasis

(Bringing together an eclectic group of influences, Ulysses' songs are sung with carefree abandon by Nick Junk)

Kurt Ulysses - Songwriter, Guitarist, Backup Vocalist
Nick Junk - Vocals, Mojo

Infinite- Alternative/Experimental Rock; influenced by Muse, Radiohead, and The Beatles

(Known best for their experimental music and their frontman's eccentric behavior, the band disbanded after Eric Quillington's death to pursue solo careers or, in Matt Robert's case, peace of mind. Infinite released four albums over the course of their career; Blue Nebula, Midnight Skies, Insomnia, and Dancing about Architecture.)

Eric Quillington (Deceased) - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Piano, Primary Lyricist
Matt Roberts - Bass
Greg Oldson - Drums, Backup Vocals, Secondary Lyricist
Amelia Florentine - Keyboards, Piano, Lyricist, Backup Vocals

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."

We would be happy to work with you, I don't think I've seen you since Infinite toured with Zzzonked. It'd be nice to catch up and for you to use the production skills that you have proved you have.

Warped tour update!

Playing for the first time infront of you guys has been amazing so far! We hope you've enjoyed out new blend of music as much as we have had performing it for you. We've been working so hard towards these shows, and hope that our first impressions were as good as planned. When we return to England, we'll be preparing the release of our debut album, which has not been titled yet, but it will contain songs you Americans have heard first.

Drowning [4:13]
An almost painfully high-pitched beat with a slight bass feel behind it starts the song, with nothing but keyboard, backing drums and some highly distorted/sampled vocals heard behind the dominant beats. The bass-beat increases within 30 seconds of the song, and the high pitched beat is replaced with distorted screaming in the background from Marks. More level of keyboard beats are added, with many tones used, but staying at the same rhythm throughout the song. A simple use to the snare drum and base drum keep a constant tempo for the song. As the song somes to a close, the instruments begin to slow down, with the last note being one low held out sample from the keyboard.

This is one of the songs we have been playing to open our set at Warped Tour, and it's going to be streamed from our website for anyone to hear. We wanted to get a proper recording of it finished before the start of 2011 so that we could say we have made some progression (and prove it) from our first EP/Demo, which is nothing like we sound like now. The change seems to have gained us a large amount of coverage across America as we've been getting so many fans coming to see us. You could call this song a preview of the album, but this doesn't show the other extreme of our ideas that have been put towards the album which will be finished recording once we get back from Warped Tour, so before the end of January. Hope you enjoy the song, more coming soon.

There have been rumours going around that electronic/grime artist PostScript for a song on our debut album. We would like to conform that this is true, as we feel that his vocal work will work well with one of the songs we have written. Once we are finished with Warped Tour we will go into the studio with him and he'll be helping us with the song titled Good As Gold. We're pleased to have him feature on the album, and will have a few other artists featuring on it as well.

Lights Go Red are finished, the statement from Kieran Marks's tumblr gives more detail into why the duo have stopped;

Kieran Marks wrote:
Because of the lack of progress that has been made between both me and Alex, we have decieded that it would be in our best interests to stop our attempt of making electronic music with screaming, without the use of guitars or heavy musical influence. Both me and Alex spoke when we first decieded upon the idea that it would only be done as an experiment to see if the mix was possible and appealing, we have found that although it is possible, it is lacking in a way to draw large crowds as venues as seen throughout Warped Tour. We apologse to all those who were looking forward to our future work, but neither of us is enjoying the creation of this album, and it's causing the two of us to argue repeatedly and that just isn't what we wanted and so all the recordings from the album will never be released. They have a bad feel about them after all the disputes between us over them, sorry again for all those looking forward to it.

For those who want to check out what i'll be doing, it seems as if Zzzonked will be restarting completely with a new idea, and a new name; Behind The Tides. I will also be producing albums and making more remixes, and I am open to featuring in any kind of song so you could see me featuring on any song in the future.

As for Alex, I'm unsure of his plans for the future, he was talking about getting back with the old members of We Shot The Stars, although this isn't for sure. I'm sure he'll be back out on the music scene soon.

- Kieran Marks
