The History of Fireworks

Will and Mark are cousins. The two of them grew up together and only lived a few streets away from eachother. They were inseperable. Will was in the year below Mark at school, and this was were he met Nick. Nick and Will became best friends and because Will was still almost inseperable from Mark, Nick and Mark became good friends too.

As they grew older the boys were still best friends, each with a growing interest in music. Nick had played guitar since he was abut 7 years old, and also knew how to play the drums, but he was never quiet as prominent on the drums. Mark could also play the drums, and when he turned 12 he asked his dad to teach him how to play the guitar as well. Will started learning how to play the guitar when he reached 17, seeing that both his best friends played, and he wanted to make it something else that they could all do together. Will taught himself how to play, using videos from Youtube and other websites. The other two helped him in the process.

On Mark's 18th, the three of them got on stage and performed a couple of songs for all of the people that came to celebrate Mark's birthday with him. After the performance several people asked them if they had ever considered going proffesional. The boys decided that night that this was their next mission, to enter and conquer the world of music!

So for the year following this, the boys practised long and hard, building up a fan base - but without a name it was hard to get promotion going. One night, the boys were performing at a fireworks display, and Will looked up and said "Those Fireworks are awesome" A simple statement, but it made Nick think, Fireworks are awesome, the band is awesome, the band should be called Fireworks! The other two instantly took to the idea, and the rest, they say, is history...

Fireworks announce a 4 to 5 week long UK Tour of the O2 Academy Venues; They will be starting from the top and working the way down the country. Here are the dates:

Wednesday 13th October - O2 Academy, Liverpool

Wednesday 20th October - O2 Academy, Leicester
Saturday 23rd October, O2 Academy, Birmingham
Wednesday 27th October, O2 Academy, Bristol
Saturday 30th October, O2 Academy, Oxford
Thursday 4th November, O2 Academy, Islington
Friday 5th November, O2 Sheppards Bush Empire
Saturday 6th November, O2 Academy, Brixton
