Newborn is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter, recording artist, and music producer Stephanie Fierce, expected to be released February 14, 2011 (Steph's Birthday). Stephanie Fierce teamed up with The Producers and Jakey Comatose for the production of the LP, which began June 25, 2010 during a break of the Pop Sinner World Tour.

"Like always, I want my music to be a listening experience. I don’t want you to love it the first time you listen to it. I want you to have to lick it, bite it, chew it, drink it, swallow it, throw it back out. Look at it, swallow it again and let it grow inside you, and then I want you to give birth to it and let it become your child." Stephanie stated on a UK radio interview back in June 2010.

Concept:
The album metaphors the idea of “being born again”. A whole new outlook towards loving others and living life itself. After a rough year, dealing with the death incident/accusations, picking up a new label, and countless other controversies, things were finally picking up. Stephanie described that making the album was like killing off her past. In other words, the album takes on daily issues every human being deals with, whether is love, death, hate and applying the concept of being 'born again'. The concept developed even more once Stephanie became pregnant, which according to Steph brought a lot happiness to the album. Once again in contrast to "The Past, The Present and the Future of Pop", Steph wrote songs that don't fit or mold in to the typical mainstream pop format.

Stephanie Fierce: Heart & salt is a song that I wrote in the summer. It's dedicated to my friend. It was a process itself getting this song on paper.

Hi Stephanie. Just saying, reinventing your style is an important part of the musical process, and you trying to accent it with 'Newborn' is a great idea. But make sure you stay yourself - there's only one Stephanie Fierce, and we don't want you washed out.

Not changing my music style if that's what you mean. A lot happened to me, you know. Being pregnant changed my life completely. I look at life in a different way. But yeah I hope my fans can still find me interesting, if not then I guess I'm screwed. I'll make sure to keep it fierce ;) - Stephanie F. Johnson
