Johnny Johnson is sitting outside a small general store watching as children ride the rocket shipped machines, teens smoke behind the garbage bin, adults walk by ignoring it all as if the world was functioning properly. But for John, it was anything but proper. He was working in a project that he knew was never going to get any recognition, but he didn't care. If anything all he cared about was the music and its message. It was that which was killing him.

If no one got the message what good was making it? If no one cared what was the point. He didn't want fame, he had that already and he found he didn't care for it. He just wanted to help people understand life and the world like he did. He had done everything there is to do in the music industry over a 20 plus year long career and now, he smokes cigarettes outside general stores wondering if any of it ever mattered...

Johnny looks up and sees some young punk who just ran him over but he recognizes him.

Johnny: Haha, yea actually I'm fine man. Whats you running from?

Johnny smiles and he sees a spark in the kids eyes, thoughts rush trough his mind...

Johnny smiles as this brings back some very far off memories from a time he had almost forgotten.

"Well then you should probably be on your way. People like that...its not easy to convince them otherwise."

Johnny looks and the people come around the corner, MattY ducks behind a wall and Johnny stands up as the people approach.

Man: Where the hell did he go?

Johnny: You mean that scrawny kid?

Man: You seen him bitch?

Johnny pauses, "Yea, he went that way"

Johnny points and the group goes the opposite direction.

Johnny turns to talk to the kid...

OOC: No problem, thats kind of what I was hoping for in the thread anyway. ;)

Johnny is shaken up a little by this sudden change of pace but he looks at a distant tree and he smiles.

Johnny: No problem man, I dont know if I believe you or not, but I trust you dont deserved to be killed for anything and that guy look like an oaf anyway. You know, I remember where I seen your face kid. Me and my guitarist Jack were just talking about some songs we wrote...we usually just do everything ourselves but I heard your a producer. I wouldn't mind getting a second opinion from someone with a different taste and opinion...you want us? (he laughs)

"Haha, cool, you tell me when and where and we got a deal"

Johnny hands MattY a white card with nothing but his name and a number on it.

"I hope you know this is probably the most spur of the moment thing I have ever done and I expect your best."

Johnny looks sternly at MattY before breaking into a smile and patting his shoulder.

Johnny looks up and grins. Of all this the part he found the most interesting was the fact that this young kid even knew his name. He turns and starts to walk away as it begins to snow. The streets are suddenly empty, Johnny is the only one there. He felt alive again, though he didnt know why...

Joe Dayton is sat at a park bench over looking a river in North Carolina.
Stacey Walton walks up to him carrying loads of bags.

Stacey: Hey loser, what you doing?
Joe: Oh hey, you’ve finished shopping finally?
Stacey: Well sort of, what you been doing?
Joe: Ummm, people watching
Stacey: You really are a loser aren’t you
Joe: No it’s just interesting you know, like those two for example, what do you think their story is?

Joe points to a young couple, an attractive girl and a not so good looking guy.

Stacey: If I had to guess I’d say she was winning a bet called date the biggest loser.
Joe: You see that’s where we differ, I was that kid at school and if he’s anything like me then I’d say he’s been friends with her for most of his life and he’s trying to find the courage to tell her how he feels, She feels the same way but he doesn’t realise that, he kind of thinks he has no chance.
Stacey: Good god your so corny
Joe: Or am I just a hopeless romantic?
Stacey: Nope, definitely the corny thing
Joe: Oh come on, everybody knows you wanna piece of me *smiles*
Stacey: *laughs* Yeah you wish (Stacey punches him in the arm playfully) come on let’s go get something to eat.

Joe stands up and Stacey jumps on his back.

Joe: What you doing?
Stacey: Take me to lunch boy toy *laughs*.

MattY nervously walks down the street towards the studio. The wind chills him and he pulls his jacket closer around him to block out the cold.

'Johnny said this building didn't he?' MattY thinks to himself, wondering if he got the right building.

MattY takes a deep sigh and walks inside. The building is incredibly warm and very nicely furnished. MattY walks to the desk.

"Hello..." MattY says to the receptionist; "Is this the building that Johnny Johnson is recording in today?"

The receptionist looks up at MattY. "And who is asking?" She says sternly, wandering if it is real that a 16 year old boy is asking for Johnny Johnson.

"MattY. I'm a rapper and producer. Johnny asked me to come along..." he says.

The receptionist raises her eyebrow and picks up the phone. "Hello? Is Mr Johnson there? There is a boy called..." she looks at MattY and silently asks his name again.

"erm.. MattY" he says.

"He is called MattY. He says he was asked to come here" ...

MattY thanks the receptionist, who just looks at him blankly. Then he leaves down the corridor after recieving instructions on how to get there.

MattY gets to the door and wanders whether to knock or walk straight in. He decides to knock and wait

*Knock. Knock* ..

MattY shakes Jack's hand

MattY: No, i don't need anything. I'm ready when you are mate
