 Q: How are you today Brittany ?
I'm actually great, alil tired ! Hehe. I've been touring and I realized that it is literally the most funnest thing I've ever done. My fans mean the world to me.
Q: What's the tour all about?
The tours called Welcome To Knoxville - The Tour, and its basically set up as this futuristic suburbs type of neighborhood with photos of me and what not, pretty much like I'm the President of that "ville". I wanted to do a theme for this tour because my last name is Knoxville, so why not create a town all about it (smiles)
Q: How have the shows been since starting out on the 9th?
Hm, I've been on the road for almost a week and I must say I'm not burned out and no where near it. The shows have been amazing, no mishaps yet and the crowd are so hot and intense and it makes me wanna cry at times since they're so appreciative.
Q: How does it feel to have a band now, instead of many backup dancers?
At first it first different but now I'm used to it and I actually like it better and it was my idea to get a guitarist, a drummer and a keyboardist. My music nowadays uses much more of these instruments and I want the music to actually BE there when I'm performing. So I knew it would be the best for my career to get rid of the dancers. Now sometimes I have dancers as well but they don't stand out as much as before. Their there, but not completely.
Q: You now make New Wave music, and a mixture of Pop Rock and regular pop, was it your decision to make the genre move?
Well when I first started recording Halfway There, I told Danny Allen my head producer that there will be no boundaries with the material and that I wanted to sound more rock... We experimented and kinda fused rock and pop together with some synth work and the sound just stuck with me. We eventually focused much of the album on being new wave.
Q: How do you think people perceived your E.P?
I think at first people were iffy about the sound since I made a music change and that it would probably fail....but that didn't happen. I've gotten mostly good and great reviews. Which I'm happy about.
Q: You'll be performing tomorrow live at the 1st Chaos awards, how are you feeling about that and what can you tell us about the performance?
I'm totally excited to be there in the flesh, I had actually alter some tour dates to make the event and I can't miss this event. I'm so excited for it because I've got a great performance in mind. Can't really tell all about it because its just gonna be great.
Q: Your going with Jake Wilson, correct?
Yes I am...
Q: Are you guys dating?
.. He's an amazing guy.
Q: Very well. Any last words?

Daniel: Hey Brittany. Stopped by to see the show. I'm pretty sure you don't know who I am. If you do, that's cool. I have only one comment to say about the whole "being more rock" and adding "New wave" thing. There is no such thing as "regular pop". Pop just means "popular" even though it has its typical structure. So technically that's not as groundbreaking as you make it sound. Hope to see growth in you in the near future, good luck with everything.

So I did my first show last night in Manchester and I must say I love British crowds! They are absolutely crazy and such partiers. Everyone had so much fun last night and I did as well. Really a great night to open up the next leg of the show. Tomorrow ill be in Birmingham followed by Dublin on Thanksgiving.. Got a little surprise for my fans on that day ;). Love you all and keep supporting me. |
