Label: Junction Records As November comes to an end, anticipated artist Chloe finally connects with her promises to release the artwork and give everyone a first listen to her debut single entitled "Cupids Twin". We must say, the song gives us a sense that this recording artist is very versatile and not every day do we see a female hailing from England being able to pull off a very catchy Dance Hall track. The song starts off with a very dance hall/fusion start off and the beat picks up with Chloe's vocals picking up with the song. Although her vocals are laid back, and very edgy, her voice maintains a very powerful stand point throughout the entire song. We also realized that the song sounds very frantic coming past the bridge and after getting the meaning of the song, we could understand why the song sounds quite "nervous" and "scared". We are happy to say we may have a very successful single for the very versatile Chloe.Quote:
Cupids Twin was a track I wrote months ago and it has this very different meaning to it. Cupid, who I play as in the song is literally the girl version of cupid but this cupid is evil, she makes every man get love struck, fall in love with her and she just leaves them for another guy. She's kind of an villain that shoots men with love, infects them and just leaves them heartbroken. I play as Cupids Twin and I'm singing about 5 different guys in the song that I left heartbroken until the bridge of the song where every man she has left heartbroken band together and chase after Cupids Twin to kill her and she has to go in hiding. I'd say the song takes place in a very futuristic fantasy land where anything can happen and I connected with my imagination. Things like that cant happen on earth the way I'd want it to, so to make a quality song I made it take place in a fantasy land.
Also, this song has a lot of elements of Dance hall incorporated to it not to mention pop and R&B. I love Dance Hall and there's really no acts out there pushing the Dance Hall genre or making any music in that direction, I wanted to take a chance and push a sound that isn't really heard instead of making the basic pop, dance track... like I always say, so boundaries take chances and make it well! That's all it is and im sure that everyone who listens to this song will understand where I'm coming from. I hope everyone likes it!
